%% Update - Sep 21, 2022 !!===================== We been here for a dinner. This time we ordered Takoyaki and Age tofu as an appetizer and these never disappointed us. Yum Yum. For main dish, we ordered BG Ramen on a special menu section and Tonkotsu Ramen. We would like to compare as BG Ramen soup base is also the same as Tonkotsu. it turned out BG Ramen is very delicious with Tonkotsu base plus the black pepper and garlic. Those ingredients enhanced the flavor and make the soup even more tastier. If you like the plain broth of Tonkotsu, this will surely make you happier. I did add some of the chilli oil before the soup ran and it also get along very well. This surely will be my next favorite menu. We definitely comeback for the next time !!===================== % Update - Aug 31, 2022 !===================== We're returning for the dinner. This time we ordered fried Gyoza and Of course, Takoyaki for appetizers. Takoyaki is outstanding. Gyoza is good. For the main course we ordered Spicy Miso Ramen and Akamaru Modern Ramen. Both are spicy Ramen. Interestingly, this time the ramen soup is super rich and very tasty. One up/down side is, Up side - the level of the spicy is just right for me (I love spicy) and this is the taste of the spicy ramen should be. This is the same level of the spicy Ramen from Totto and Ippudo. Down side - From our last visit, my son can eat the soup and noodles on the Spicy Miso Ramen. However, with this level of the spicy, he could not make it. This make me wonder what level of the spicy I will get next time. I hope they give an option to choose if I want a regular spicy, extra spicy or less spicy. Overall, we are satisfying with the food and definitely going to come back to find out more. !================ This is a new ramen restaurant in Great Neck. We ordered Takoyaki and Age Tofu for appetizers. Both are delicious. The Takoyaki exceeded my expectations. You can smell the grill but crunchy outside with the 2 x octopus inside. The Katsuobushi(dried bonito flakes) topping added more flavor. The Aged tofu was also good with the soy sauce and radish. The main course we ordered Spicy Miso Ramen and Tonkotsu. For Spicy Miso Ramen, the level of the spiciness is just right although, my personal thought is, if they can enrich the broth to be richer, I think that would be perfect. However, if you like Ramen with less salty broth and very light soup, this is what you are looking for. All the other ingredients, such as Noodle, boiled eggs, ground pork, pork belly, etc are all good. Same as Tonkotsu, the soup is very light and less salty. Overall this is one of the authentic Ramen. If you don't want to commute to the city for Ippudo or Totto, this restaurant is definitely the place that I would recommend.

Ordered takeout on a Friday afternoon around 4pm. Restaurant had a few tables inside and most were full. Saw this as a good sign; restaurant having steady business even during off peak hours. Food: ordered the BG Ramen. As take out, the separate the soup from the noodles. Noodles were done well. Char Sui was blow torched on the presentation side, giving it a good crispy texture and fried taste. Other accompaniments were thinly sliced wood ear mushrooms, bamboo, green onions, pink ginger, round pieces of fishcake, and shoyu boiled egg. Well put together. The room temp noodles when combined with the hot soup came up to a warm temp, but I would have preferred hotter. Good taste overall. 4/5 and would be 5/5 if cheaper or bigger. Also ordered Age Tofu. Tofu tasted fresh and though it was deep fried, it became steamed in the container of my take out. Better to punch some holes in the lid for fried food takeouts so they can remain crispy by letting the steam escape. It will probably taste better if eaten for dine in. 3.5/5 Total meal was $26 takeout. Service: one server and one line cook working at the time of review. Food takes a while to make. Took about 15 mintues for food to be prepared and packed into my hands. Server was nice and recommended both the dishes I ordered. He said that I should order the Chicken Ramen next time because it's their most popular dish. Unfortunately, they sold out for the day when I came. Will try next time. Ambiance: it was nicely decorated with an anime theme. One Piece fans will get a kick out of it. They also sell posters and stickers of One Piece so it will be fun for kids. The environment also tries very hard to put you on Japan. Good effort. 5/5 Overall this is an excellent Ramen restaurant. Will come and try their chicken. Ramen and also rice bowls next time.

Great ramen spot outside of Manhattan and Queens. Interior is no frills but still relatively authentic. We ordered Steak and Spicy Miso Ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly, chewy, and better than I expected and for sure the best in the area. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They also have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages to compliment your meal — we got the Lemon Yuzu Soda.

It's really difficult to find a ramen restaurant that doesn't miss, yet, here we are. I have visited probably 3 or 4 times, and everytime, it was on point. I've been making an effort to eat through the menu every visit and now have several favorites. Everyone who works there is super helpful and inviting. I can't wait until my next visit, which will likely be very soon. 😌😌

First time trying Nohara Ramen. We learned about this place via the Facebook group: Great Neck Food and Restaurants. The takoyaki and fries came out first and were super good! 😊 👍 Ordered the miso ramen, shoyu ramen and spicy miso ramen, everyone in the family loved it! 😋 The staff are all very welcoming and really nice. The mango mochi ice cream was delicious!! Try Nohara Ramen, you’ll be glad that you did; our family was very happy we did!

Tried this place last week with my sister! Really wanted ramen near by and I couldn't be happier with our choice! We are huge fans of the Nohara Fries. It's definitely a big portion enough for 2! We had the Spicy Miso Ramen and the OG Ramen. Delicious Pork Buns as well. It's one of our new favorite Ramen spots for sure! The atmosphere is also very cozy, filled with cool posters and a modern feel. Will be back very soon and spread the word!
