Rating 1 star because I can’t rate 0 stars. Terrible service. I was here for 2 hours. Had dinner and everything but because I went to the restroom and it was past 8PM, security wouldn’t let me back in with my family. I had to pay $10 and line up with all the teenagers who were here to see some DJ. I spoke to the manager and he couldn’t do anything but shrug his shoulders. I seriously would not recommend coming here at all. Food is expensive and below average and toilets are a mess. What kind of customer service is it to let your patrons go to the bathroom and not allow them to re-enter because they went to the bathroom and don’t have a stamp on their wrist??? At least warn them that it’ll cost them money and an hour of their time to re enter. I’ve been a loyal patron for years but this honestly ices the cake and I’m fed up and astonished at the service I’ve received tonight. The eatons hill hotel needs to fix their attitude!

Service: 1/10. All staff hating their life. Food: 2/10. What type of pub doesn’t have/offer gravy? Value for money: 1/10. Double the price of our local for less quality. Venue presentation: 10/10. Beautiful - The garden is wonderful. Won’t be back for food.

What the actual heck? This hotel was marred by issues and pretty bad staffers. I tried to check into my room and this employee named Peter was just giving me a ridiculously bad time, he was totally disinterested in me (a paying customer), disregarded any formal hello or decorum and just generally made it a hassle to check in with his many requests for different identification and tapping away at his computer, all while keeping no eye contact. Really strange fellow too, he kind of looked like one those small fishes that clean behind the teeth of a great white shark. Speaking of great whites, this other employee named Shannon randomly spawned from out the back and waddled over to us after she could tell I was not too pleased by Peter's attitude. Peter immediately shuffled behind Shannon and allowed her to confront me. She spoke in a gruff and rather weathered voice about how it was company policy to put me through so many hoops to check in. At this point, I was absolutely fed up. I demanded to speak to someone, anyone with sense enough to treat a customer with more respect. At this point it became abundantly clear that all of the employees who actually cared have all been fired! Lockey, Sez, and Brian were apparently their best, but they were all fired cause they didn't act pompous (or at least that is what I inferred after Shannon told me that they were no longer at the hotel for personal reasons. Conspiracy much?). It wasn't until yet another employee named Murray came out from the back as well and immediately yelled and spoke at both Peter and Shannon as if they were children who just crawled for the first time. It was an insane thing to witness and by this hour I was just prepared to pay for my room, but instead I was witnessing a battle between a man baby, a great white, and a not-so-funny version of Bill Murray. It was at this point that I knew...I was going to be spending my hard earned money on Motel 6 instead! Never check out Eatons Hill Hotel and please say no to Peter if he asks you to smell his finger nails.

Grace Insurance met with a few of our clients and insurers at the Eatons Hill Hotel. The atmosphere was great. Staff was friendly and served us quickly. Food did not take a long time. They had a few orders, but still brought out the food quickly. Food was delicious. Drinks was cold. There is parking outside and we could easily find parking. Enjoy!

Tried to have lunch at the restaurant today. Wait staff were lovely, but the food was unbelievably bad for the price. Ordered their $44 eye fillet med rare and $57 steak rare. Both came out well done. Asked for them to do it again. Waited another 30min. Came out well done, again. The wait staff were very understanding and provided a full refund, but what a waste of an hour of our time. Never going to return.

The venue looks amazing. But the food was incredibly average, especially for the price. The Lobster Mornay hardly contained any lobster… and the mashed potato was the worst I’ve ever had! I had the salmon and had to add a lot of salt to my meal for there to be any taste. The drinks were small. Really disappointing because it’s NOT cheap. In addition, the young plump dark haired waitress and the young lady behind the bar were lacking majorly in customer service and quite rude. Overall, not a good experience. I don’t think I’d go there again.

I was at the bar and the weekend and was served by the rudest bartender. When I complained I got told they had received multiple complaints about her that night and yet she was still allowed at the bar being so nasty to literally everyone she served. Everyone I talked to throughout the night brought up the horrible bartender, so it wasn’t just a one off. Also overheard a security guard while we were having a smoke. He was so nasty and rude to multiple people throughout the night that we witnessed. On a good note another bartender Claudia was so lovely and nice. She was quick, friendly and make really nice drinks. That’s the only part of my night that had competent and friendly staff. Literally get better treatment in the valley, I’d recommend anyone go out there rather than this place.

I hadn't been to Eaton's Hill Hotel on a Friday evening before so I was a little surprised when I had to submit to a photograph of me and my licence just to gain entry (at 6:30pm). There was no indication on how this personal information would be treated or stored. That aside the evening was great fun. The atmosphere was friendly and the beer was good. A few too many mullets were on display but there is nothing that EHH can do about that! 🙂

My family and friends hv recommended this place for a few times. We went there last night for our wedding anniversary celebration. Never been so disappointed with the food and service. What’s worse was my husband later found out we got charged an extra 15% for a “holiday surcharge” that we were not told of by the staff who seated us and there was no sign at the cashier nor the entrance that there would be a surcharge for the night. Not to mention the food quality was below average but we got charged for almost $50 for a sirloin (a medium rare steak turned out to be almost well done steak) and $40 for a lamb shank. Portion was relatively small compared to other places that serve the same food with much better quality. (We later found out if we ordered online there wasn’t a holiday surcharge but because the weekly special menu wasn’t available online that’s why we had to pay at the cashier and that’s when we got ripped off.) We are not locals but we went all the way there for the special occasion. Sadly it disappointed us. We definitely won’t go back and don’t recommend it.

Eatons hill is a lovely and classy place to stay. This was my second time staying and attending an event at the ballroom across the road. The bed was comfy, the rooms are nice and clean. I only have one gripe with this place. The room service. What fancy hotel offers LUNCH but not breakfast?? I understand offering dinner for room service but lunch?? I would have loved to have woken up and been able to order some breakfast in bed. But alas. Would still recommend staying but either pack brekky or be prepared to go out for breakfast. There is a cafe 63 downstairs but it’s always PACKED probably due to the fact that the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast 🙄

Surprised at how good this place is—wish I'd visited sooner. The food was great - eye fillet steak was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sides were very tasty. Parmigiana was large and filling. Kids also had no complaints about their meals, and the gluten free needs of some group members were catered to. Plenty of space for our large-ish group for dinner. We were a bit surprised at the size of the place. Kids loved the play area.

We had rang to say we’d be later with booking in & it wasn’t a problem at all. When we arrived to finally book in, the lady, Tara, at reception was very friendly & welcoming. She explained we could get something for dinner or breakfast in the green room, which was an option we considered but then didn’t do. We had had a very hard day, we were up from Victoria for my mums funeral & without Tara knowing this she upgraded us to the corner suite. We both got teary & said we’ve had a hard day & that has just made it easier. Upgrades We later went down to the bar to grab a couple of drinks & they didn’t have any Canadian Club, Tara radio for someone to bring some in. Honestly Tara definitely made our stay that little bit easier, welcoming & as enjoyable as it could be. Thank you so much Tara. We highly recommend this hotel.

What a fabulous lunch venue. I had the beef cheeks and it was fall apart deliciousness. The *only* problem was that it was so huge and I couldn't finish it. Partner had the fettuccini, and it was also wonderful. The serving, so generous, that he couldn't finish it either. Staff were ever so friendly. Had a great afternoon. Thank you. Totally recommend

Last night I went to Eatons Hill and had the best time ever. I was served by this wonderful lady named Claudia in the upstairs bar and her customer service skills and kind energy made me and my friends feel so loved and welcomed. Her and the other girlies working in the bar were so kind and approachable and they all deserve some recognition for their hard work! I will definitely be coming back!

Arrived and was greeted with a lovely smile from Ellie who then asked Jane to show us to our seats. Jane had us seated and organised in no time. I then ordered the drinks from the bar from a Maddie who was very patient while I decided what wine to have. Again lovely service. Then we had Jay. Jay was amazing. He bought two birthday cakes out that night and got everyone singing Happy Birthday. He constantly had a smile on his face and looked like he absolutely loved his job. I had to name all these staff members because they all did their jobs so well and it was a pleasure to dine at the EH. The food was also excellent.

The hotel facilities looked great from a distance as the people watched the rodeo from their hotel rooms in such comfort. The EH hosted a rodeo in their grounds and supplied food trucks, mechanical bull ride. This place was packed with people enjoying the show.

EH NEVER again LOOKED forward to a night out for dinner my wife had the pasta. I ordered a steak at $62 dollars it should melt in your mouth only to to find out the steak was like an old boot not that I have ever had one. The steak was blue in the middle asked for medium rare and it was tough like rubber. I gave up trying to eat it. The dining room is really loud something that you can over look if your food is good. I was disappointing to see my steak going back only to come back and it was the same steak just cooked a bit more just as tough. In the end I asked for a refund ended up leaving the restaurant and I grabbed a pizza from the local not the way that I had intended our evening to end it was a huge disappointment

Myself and a friend came to this venue in the evening to have a celebration for completing my studies, only to be told by the unprofessional security staff that we were 'Too drunk' because of 'The way we walked across the street'. I was shocked as we were both completely fine, it felt as if we were pre judged based off of our appearance. I have seen this venue before with all sorts of messy drunk people being let in, but for some reason we were not allowed entry being completely fine. The staff even threatened to call the cops as if we were a threat. We were both embarrased and disgusted to say the least. Even speaking to the manager Michael, proved how unprofessional these staff were. I specifically asked him what we did when walking across the street to give off the impression we were 'too drunk but he could not even answer me that. Very disappointed at how we were treated. We Will not be back, but they probably wouldn't even let us in anyway.

Lunch here and was a great experience. Service was lovely, food was quickly served, presented well and was tasty. It had a good atmosphere with music playing at just the right level to not be over powering. The venue itself is beautiful. The woodwork throughout is timeless. I noticed a rooftop bar, but didn't go up. There is a change table in the ladies restroom, which was great for changing my 6 month old. The kids play area looks amazing and clean, I can't wait to go back with my husband and our 3 year old.

I went here today for lunch with a friend. I asked for a well done steak but it came out much closer to medium rare than well done. Everything else was fine, but considering thte steak is the main component of this meal, and cost $40, I'm giving 2 stars. The steak should be cooked in the way that you ask (and pay) for it to be done. I won't be eating and wasting my money here again.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with our 10-month old. I've never been to Eaton's Hill Hotel but definitely understand the hype. Very well laid out and neat restaurant. The adjoining kids playground is awesome for young families. Food and service were lovely, will definitely be back with friends and family.

We came in after a late flight and reception was attended. The room was well appointed with large tv screen and complimentary soft furnishings. It clean and bed comfortable. One of the best things were the friendly staff who could not do enough for us. The convenient parking was also a huge plus. Will stay again.

Excellent customer service. Staff were amazing, room was very clean, hotel facilities were great. Only downside to our stay was the proximity to the Eatons hill nightclub/pub next door, sleep was disrupted by loud music until the early hours of the morning.

Staff are so friendly it almost seems to be a parallel universe to the level dished out at most places these days. Happy to please. The little shopping strip is great and the open air venue for live entertainment is fantastic. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

After an EXTREMELY bad experience at the Hamilton hotel my partner and I came to the Eatons Hill Hotel. Second to none customer service by the staff. The older guy who seated us was great. The younger guy with a mullet style hair cut (Jay?) at the bar had an absolute impeccable vibe! Highly Recommend! Will be our new local for sure!

Very nice, well kept hotel, it came from a recommendation so decided to stay here. Rooms have good space and the decor is quite modern and up beat. The bathroom is quite nice and spacious, walk in shower and it's well lit. The double bed was uncomfortable as it was two singles joined together but then the middle was almost like sleeping on a pipe. Service was great, staff very friendly and helpful.

Over the last 3 weekends my wife has encountered issues with the apparent targeting of her by security staff. Firstly, after several months of not seeing her friend she met with her. After saying hello to each other they were apparently too loud in their greeting near the outside bar as the bar tender warned them that if they continue this “behaviour” they will be asked to leave. They hadn’t consumed one drink at this stage, but yet already threatened with leaving. The live band was playing at the time so not sure how noise could be an issue. The following weekend my wife was asked to leave after having 2 drinks and one shot, over a 3 hour period with dinner in the restaurant, stating she was drunk. Last night we had a couple of drinks with food over 2 hours, my wife approached the security member from the previous interaction seeking clarification as to why she was asked to leave. This security member stated the following, that my wife was too loud when talking to the band and was dancing with a drink in her hand. No other reasons explaining why they thought she was drunk was given. No indicia of intoxication was present nor was that given as the reason, this was because she wasn’t in fact intoxicated. If talking loudly and dancing with a drink in your hand is grounds for removal from the premises then security must be removing people by their hundreds on a Friday and Saturday night. Obviously this doesn’t occur hence our confusion for these so called “reasons”. So again without any signs of intoxication and security being frustrated that their hypocritical/nonsensical reasons for removal were questioned and not making sense, they called upon the Shannon the site manager. Shannon who couldn’t be bothered de-escalating the situation and backing his staff’s illogical decision making asked my wife to leave the premises and quickly and repeatedly mentioned contacting QPS as if they were hired muscle and a threat of intimidation I have approached my wife, Shannon and the security member and before I say anything Shannon is immediately hostile and aggressive in tone and demeanour to me. I also appreciated the snide passive aggressive comments from the security member. This behaviour screams professionalism and appropriate customer service, considering they repeatedly mentioned they been in the profession for 20 years, they are either jaded or require retraining. So because they couldn’t justify their decision, didn’t like the decision being questioned, apply common sense, communication skills and critical thinking, a threat of ban of 12 months was given and if any further discussion was entered the ban would be increased. We left the premises after this as no further discussion was going to assist in this instance when the ego and bully tactics of the so called management. I find it so strange how you spruik the entertainment and drinking however want people to sit quietly and effectively golf clap the band. I also find it odd how you determine someone’s intoxication without speaking to them to ascertain if they are, like your RSA training. If being loud and dancing with a drink is an issue surely the first step would be to approach the person and ask them to stop. Apparently being loud when watching the footy is the exception to the rule. Hence our confusion and attempting to seek clarification. It’s become obvious that you are targeting my wife for reasons unknown to even yourselves. In regards to the ban that has most likely been extended to the end of time, not too concerned as we have no intention to return. I am looking forward to a cut and paste generic response which based off your reviews will gaslight and cast blame away from yourselves.

Went to this venue for the first time to see American Band Midland. The venue in itself is quite amazing, however. The venue was absolutely packed and NO seating. It appears that venue organisers think no one would enjoy the ability to sit despite one's age. A number of patrons found it difficult to enjoy the show as couldn't see over others who were tall. The audio and lighting for this particular artist was less than ordinary with even the musicians making a comment. Some patrons who go to any venue now to enjoy a show won't go if seating is not an option. Would I attend again for a live show. Probably not. I will watch on you tube in a comfy chair.

We went to have pizza today at mozzarella mafia at the Eatons Hill Tavern but my teenage son asked to have his pizza with no mushrooms but the staff refused stating that the chef will not make any alterations to his pizza. What happened to pleasing the customer? What's the big deal about removing mushrooms? Anyway the meals were beautiful and reasonable priced at the Albany Creek Tavern.

We went for a drink prior to attending a band playing in the ballroom. Bar area is open and airy but has plenty of quite areas as well. Modern feel to the venue. Service was friendly enough but a bit slow to get served. The bar snacks where good value for money and came quickly considering the amount of people there. Ballroom is a decent venue but the bar did not have enough staff on and the line up was extra long most of the night. A good venue overall with the bar a good spot to relax. We didn’t stay in a room.

We went there on a Wednesday lunch, there was still tables available, but I still recommend to book. Jay the barman was great, even posed for a photo. They were very quick with the food, probably a little too quick as I was still eating my entrees when my main meal came out.The place is huge, with lots of nocks where you can sit with groups and have drinks. There are pinball machines, I would say for the little kids and big ones too. The food was great, I had the cured salmon , something I had never tried before and would definitely have again. The steaks are on show, so you can see what you are getting. They advertise that they have singers and band play on the greens, that would be something else and definitely need to book. The toilets were clean, but couldn't find a disabled one, but it is not to say they haven't, just ask the staff are very friendly. There is a pokies room and keno on big screen throughout the pub. The seats were comfortable, which mean a lot to me when i go out to eat. I have to be comfortable. There is a lovely green outdoor area and a roof top area, even the smoking area was nice. There is also a bottle shop next door, if you need supplies to go home with or if you have drank too much, there is accommodation . If you like my ratings, please like and follow me please.

The bar manger i witnessed on 09/09/23 was extremely rude to patrons and the way she belittled her own bar stuff was disgusting. Trying to make a complaint to the Manger (Blake) that night fell on deaf ears, Blake thought it was funny that a patron was wanting to make a genuine complaint about her behaviour. We will be taking this as far as possible to ensure staff are trained correctly for the position they are employed for, I hope staff will be retrained appropriately so they can conduct themselves in professional manner in future. Very disappointing to see two staff members in those particular roles fail meet basic standards for customer service.

Used to love coming here, but thing's are going down hill fast. Food standards and the rude hotel staff, are not worth coming here. Penthouse rail was broken, lights missing, supplies for dishwasher were not in room and not available to be sent up.ordered ribs from the restaurant, they we're clearly off, was sent a replacement steak on the house only for the reception lady to tell me that they don't do that and I have to pay for the meal.

It seems okay. The function room is a good size but the actual stage has some trip hazards. I haven't had the chance to stay in the hotel yet but I would assume that it's nice inside. I was there to work on an event so we didn't get much past the 'loading dock' and function room

Good place to visit with family. Tasty food and a nice atmosphere. We arrived without any bookings, but staff could organise a space for us in a short time. Staff was friendly and our orders came on time. Pizza and chips were very well prepared. The only thing I would have preferred is my stake to be done better. Other than that everything was good! Will definitely go back again.

I recently booked for a table for 20 at this venue and I was blown away by the attentive nature and customer service. The facility speaks for itself with amazing food, great decor, friendly staff, and an enormous playground the for the kids! However the bookings team were a standout! I felt as though all my questions were answered, they went as far to ask if we needed ramp access and high chairs! They even called the day prior to reconfirm my booking. I had quite a few out-of-towners joining me and even they commented at what a great pub Eaton’s Hill Hotel is! Thanks again!

Beautiful location, with one big let down being a local I come here regularly.... and regularly the front counter staff always do there best show you they are not interested in making the experience pleasant .. eye contact with a pleasant manner would go a long way. To be honest the service is better at the mcdonalds front counter.. But the kitchen staff that take the orders are always great ... Food is pretty good ...fit out looks great. . Bar staff are good... killer place for the suburbs . Please work on this guys ..

Great hotel and huge bonus with heated pool. Staff welcoming and courteous. We will be staying here again. Lovely little touches with bottled water on arrival, gorgeous travel shampoo etc. Bed very comfortable and room spacious for what we needed. Easy access from hotel to cafes and Woolies. Highly recommend this hotel.

You definitely get what you pay for. Not cheap, but beautiful food. Thai beef salad was great, Salmon on point, ribs delicious! The real winner is the kids playground though. Kept our 5 year old super busy while we relaxed

Nice and busy on a Friday night. It would be nice to have a water tap patrons could access, since at one point I was waiting 40 minutes just to order some glasses of water, but overall a fun place with great energy and different bars and areas to hang out. Good DJs too!

If I could give 6 out of 5 stars I would. After being stranded by the floods we had to find accommodation and so glad we landed here. The hotel is beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. They really made a stressful situation much more bearable. Shout out to Beatrice who makes a mean coffee and was always friendly and helpful no matter what questions we had. There were also 2 gentlemen on front desk that were happy to hold our room for us while we assessed the changing road situation. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very spacious and you can get away from crowds. The dinning area does get packed out and very busy. Would suggest booking. Lots of breakout areas with a wide range of seating. You don't seam to notice the noise except in the dining area. meals are good and no long waits.

I visit the Eatons Hill Hotel solely to watch bands that are scheduled there and thoroughly enjoy the experience each time. From energy-laden, shoulder-to-shoulder madness inside the Grand Ballroom to the more spacious, relaxed outdoor events, I love it all. I've attended individual performances as well as all-day festivals and, either way, have enjoyed myself. Thank you for continuing to be a premium concert venue, especially for the less mainstream bands, across various genres, that you support and host. I have no doubt both fans and artists are grateful.

We only checked in an hour ago, we are so impressed already. What a hidden gem. Incredible, welcoming, accommodating, friendly staff. Beautiful modern rooms, with all the comfort and amenities of The Big Boasting Chains and so called leaders in the Industry. I can’t remember the last time I was impressed like this. Thank you to all the staff at Eaton Hills Hotel. We came for The Hu, but will be returning because of U 😁 Dave and Natasha

What an incredible venue. The staff from the security guards to the bar tenders were incredible. The service staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Shout out to Dan (talk guy, dark hair) we both know who won the (walking) race. Food was amazing. Kids meals & pizzas were some of the best I’ve seen and my friends kids ate everything (unheard of)! The play area is amazing as well. We will be back and definitely worth the drive.

We dined in the restaurant here last night, March 1st 2023. My family & I are all very impressed with our service, food & all round experience. We are new to Brisbane, and since moving here mid 2022, both my partner & I agree that our dinner ordered here tonight has topped anywhere we have dined since moving here by a mile!!! The kids pizza was a very generous size, came out super quick with our entrees which is always a tick in our box when you have hungry kids. The play area for the kids is great too, kept them busy. For our mains, the calamari & salad was beautiful. For my mum to finish a whole meal is rare so that’s saying something! My lamb cutlets w/ veges were delicious & my partner enjoyed his Rib eye that was cooked to perfection. The service from staff was great & they were super friendly. The whole vibe of the place is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be dining here again!

A very nice and clean hotel. Crowded on weekends because of lounge. I need to reschedule my booking and hotel management accommodated my request. Supermarket and other all the required things are available just outside the hotel. But hotel is away from the city center. Otherwise it is one of the best choice in the area.

My partner surprised me with a night here. Room was wonderful, spacious, clean & very comfortable. The bathroom was nice & that open shower area was my dream. It was great to use the pool & we loved going to cafe63 .
