2/5 The Berlin F. 1 year ago on Google
I
grew
up
in
Redcliffe
from
when
the
shopping
centre
was
open
aired
and
covered
in
brown
brick
and
30
odd
years
later,
it’s
still
a
fairly
poor
excuse
for
a
shopping
centre
and
oddly
Kmart
is
in
exactly
the
same
place.
Recently,
we
did
have
a
Target
but
they
ripped
it
out
and
built,
you
guessed
it...
another
gym.
They
do
need
to
give
one
of
the
security
guards
at
the
shopping
centre
a
free
12
month
trial
I’m
sure
someone
crutches
could
outrun
him.
Most
smaller
stores
don't
open
until
10am
on
a
Sunday
and
they
close
around
2pm
because
they
literally
can't
be
bothered
to
trade.
The
sports-shop
and
the
locksmith
are
a
fine
example
of
this.
Some
stores
don't
bother
to
open
at
all.
Not
even
the
opportunistic
Optus
and
Telstra
stores
are
open.
A
large
number
of
stores
can't
be
bothered
to
trade
on
a
Thursday
night
because
late
night
shopping
hasn't
caught
on
in
Redcliffe
yet
or
they
think
it's
Sunday
and
they've
left
at
2.
The
only
stores
that
keep
this
shopping
centre
relevant
are
the
big
chain
stores.
Coles,
Kmart
and
Woolworths.
The
food
court
is
pitiful.
When
the
most
exciting
option
available
is
Mcdonalds,
you
know
you're
not
in
culinary
heaven.
They
closed
down
the
Carvery
and
they’re
putting
in
a
bubble
tea
/
juice
bar…
because
when
I'm
hungry..
all
I'm
really
craving
is
a
big
cup
of
cold
tea
with
slimy
balls
in
it.
Centre
has
always
had
an
issue
with
troubled
teens
and
their
troubled
parents.
The
pride
of
Redcliffe
‘The
Captain
Cook
Tavern’
brings
in
a
delightful
bunch
of
well-mannered
folk.
The
only
draw
is
that
It’s
closer
for
me
to
pick
up
a
few
groceries
here
than
fight
for
a
car
space
at
Northlakes
and
the
barber
downstairs
near
the
post
office
are
fantastic.
but
if
you're
looking
for
a
fun
filled
day
of
shopping
over
a
nice
lunch..
keep
driving
