Nurses and assistants looked like they were put out when I asked to get up and walk the hall to gain strength. When in hall incount... I have been going here with my girlfriend throughout her pregnancy and for the most part everyone here is pretty good. The only thing I don't like is the one time we have come in way ahead of time for our appointment and the receptionist forgot to check us in and had us waiting in the waiting room for an entire hour while everyone who came in after us was going in before us. There is one specific receptionist here who has been rude on a few different occasions. Other than that the people who do the sonograms are great, very nice, and very thorough. They are great at answering questions and making you feel comfortable with what they are doing in the appointments. Overall I've had great experiences each time I've been here and would definitely recommend coming here for prenatal care.

The emergency room at Unity is a joke. You could die waiting for help or to get anyone to explain things to you. As for the hospital, when you get admitted, there are some nurses on the second floor that act like they could care less about you. Some of them have awful bedside manners and when you call to check on your loved one, they just tell you what you want to hear and then you later find out that they have no clue how your loved one is doing. I have seen this first hand. My spouse has been in and out of this hospital since October of last year and I gotta say that I would never recommend this place to even my worst enemy. When you ring your call bell and half hour later they poke their head in the door and ask " what do you need now" so unprofessional.

great hospital if you like getting kicked out before you're physically ready to go home. great job only caring about profits. you money hungry butchers! now they are kicking out my mother from physical rehab because "she is doing well". she can't use the bathroom on her own! how are you this callous. I hope you understand you're not the good people here. you're horrible

My father is there has been since May 6th and I went to visit him a few days ago and all the nurses were in the hall my father broke his neck and has pneumonia when he took a fall down the stairs. His oxygen was wrapped around his face and not in his nose and his call bell was on the floor. Also, the people at the front desk at first couldn't find him in the system then when they did all they did was give me a pass with his room number on it but didnt tell me what floor or anything.

I’m not going to go on to give you my story as to why this place is dirty, disgusting and inconsiderate because it’s too long. From the check-in to the release was an absolute nightmare. The nurses do not care are unprofessional, along with not properly trained. They do not care about what’s going on with you and your symptoms. I have never had a worst experience with a Hospital in my life. Honestly, if you genuinely want good care for either yourself or a family member that you care for and to be treated properly like a human being do not go here I would highly recommend Strong Hospital.

I would rate Unity negative stars if I could. I was told to come right here from urgent care due to possible internal bleeding from an MVA. I was told that it was emergent and the urgent care doctor would call ahead to let them know I'm coming. I've now been here waiting for almost five hours. The staff upfront are also very nasty and when my mother asked where I was "in line" the receptionist stated "well she looks pretty good for a suspected abdominal bleed". This is so harmful to patients because it not only minimizes their complaints but it could absolutely make someone with a serious injury just leave because they feel they shouldn't be there. Unity is the worst hospital in Rochester.

My mother 90 yr old broke her hip she was in ER for 12 hours, when they finally got her surgery that went well weeks later she is here again low blood pressure and oxygen, she has had bouts of Unresponsiveness she went in today at noon and is still in the hallway! And no one has heard from the doctors yet! I know she just wants to be home I am on the west cost and am very disappointed with the lack of communication!

I’m been in this hospital 6 plus hrs and have not seen a single Dr. I came in an ambulance and was even put back into the waiting room due to lack of beds. This is ridiculous! Mins after being off a stretcher they put me to get an EKG. They left me alone in that room for over 10 min when I came in with low BP and dizziness. Nobody cared. They do whatever on these night shifts. Another thing, every time I come here they want to do chest X-rays. Whether you need it or not. That’s how they make money. I could come here with a broken toe and they want to do a chest X-ray. Give it up already.

My husband was at Unity Hospital for 15 days. I went in to see him every day. He was very neglected. He was sitting in a chair with his feet dangling every time I saw him. No one even bothered to help him get to the bathroom or move around at all. When he was admitted, he could walk. When we finally got him out of there he couldn't even stand up. We kept hearing from the doctor that he would be out in a day or two for 15 weeks!! When he was first admitted, I was trying to get information and was hung up on several times. I was never able to get through to anyone. The day I found him crying with his blanket on the floor and his legs dangling was the was the last straw!!

Went in for a joint replacement nursing staff very very good people. As for the actual hospital they abandoned me refused me my home health care nurse. I suffered 3 injuries. We reached out just to be left abandoned. Still no communication with hospital. I keep trying so nobody had to endure what they did to me. If you have a secondary health issue run away from this hospital they will abandon you its horrible to have this happen to you.

We arrived at 3pm and were sent for x-rays at 530 pm. Wasn't called into the back until after 9pm. Here it is 10 minutes to 1am....... no sign of a Doctor. No updates, no information, no medication for the pain. NOTHING. I've had to ask that my loved one be attended to. 9/10 hours........ to be seen by a DR.?? This is madness. Stay Far Away!!!!!

I love, Love, LOVE, BIG LOVE, Unity Hospital. I have been going to them for years now. From the time we found I'm allergic to nuts when I was in middle school to the births of 2 sons. Every and I do mean EVERY time I get off the phone with them or leave an appointment, I love them that much more. The employees are nothing but caring and helpful. They have always tried to work with me to make sure I get the best experience possible. I can't thank them enough, I would literally not be here if it wasn't for them. Thank you Unity Hospital!

The ER wait time was considerable, especially compared to Strong. **However**, Unity got the important parts right! They spoke with me at length, looked at possible underlying causes, and monitored me to see how I was responding to treatment. They also gave us very detailed instructions for continued at-home care once I was ready to leave. I always felt respected and, as much as is possible in a hospital, like I understood what was going on. Shout-out to Nurse Killian for playing a big role in that experience, but I'm very appreciative to my whole care team.

We were in the ED for two days and were then admitted to the 3300 floor. At first, the ED seemed chaotic but was definitely well ordered. Patients were coming and going but the staff had everything under control. EVERYONE was taken care of. They even brought food and drink for those that asked. Amazing. In 3300, caring and compassionate. Hardly any wait time for help and ALL the staff are friendly and very professional and competent. The techs, nurses, food handlers, cleaning crew, secretaries, PT, OT, my God! Everyone was just wonderful to us. Thank You Unity. Gary Silco

I wish I could give no stars! I will never go to this hospital again! Worst experience ever! 5 hours later and I get dismissed by the doctor because I stand up for myself and the poor treatment I received. Glad I didn’t have any serious problem considering how long it took someone to answer my call button just so I could use the restroom.

I had to have a total knee replacement and from the start (pre-test) to my surgery, recovery and in my room the doctors, anesthesiologists, PCT, physical therapist and social workers I rate them all a 10 rating. They were the best always polite and helpful

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gouli who took care of my husband! What a wonderful doctor! He was very kind, thoughtful and so easy to talk to. Answered all of our questions thoroughly. You don't find many like him. Thank you to all of the terrific nurses on the 3rd floor. You all made an unpleasant stay pleasant. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It is concerning to me the level of incompetence and lack of compassion my family member experienced at this hospital. My mother had a brain bleed and 3 spinal fractures. She was told not to move. When she needed to use the bed pan, I found the closest person. He was on his phone texting. I said, "Excuse me? My mother has to urinate." "Can she walk?" Was his response. I said well, with a brain bleed and 3 spinal fractures, I'm thinking that's a no. Does he not role his eyes? What kind of place is this? What a bunch of horrible people, from the front desk, techs, nurses and absent doctors. I can't believe they deal with people. Who is doing any quality control on this staff? Every single staff member is constantly on their phone. I'm so sorry that my mom's condition is interrupting your level on Candy Crush. My God. What a sad situation. Terrible. And whatever you do, DO NOT leave your family alone overnight. No one checks on them for hours. Hours. And even then, it would be the tech who takes the temp and BP that may find your family member on the floor or dead. The nurses wouldn't know until until the next morning at shift change. Watch your people, as the staff at this facility will not.

I was there last night one of the doctors rub me off when I asked a simple question, they wrote the wrong information and lied about my vital signs. I waited 3 hours before I was seen when some people only been waiting 5 minutes and were seen before me. Then the discharged me with barely doing anything to help me.

I'm sad to see others had a terrible experience. My father was in the ICU floor which includes 2400 and 2500 the staff have been nothing but phenomenal. Myself, along with other family members are beyond impressed and grateful.

This is the best hospital in the area right now. I’ve been to them all just this weekend and unity had me in and out in ok time for a hospital but did the tests I needed while I waited and was very surprised how fast I saw a doctor literally 5 min. In. Nurses are awesome as usual. Everywhere else I went this weekend I sat for hours never got seen. unity has really worked to get better thank you to the nurses and doc. ✌️

Their free wifi makes the ER wait tolerable. Not many people in the waiting room, but in the back it's very busy. In the waiting room there's plenty of area to spread out and tables to do work or eat if needed. Nurses and staff were nice, knowledgeable, and concerned for my wellbeing. Over all cleanliness was good. I would go back if needed rather than the city, thanks.

I had to go to the ER around 10pm for serve leg pain. When checking in the people that took my information were friendly. but that's where it stopped. There weren't many people in the waiting room, but we still had to wait 4hrs before being called and sent to another waiting room, for which we waited for almost 7hrs, before someone could see me. Meantime while waiting there was one nurse there after being in the hospital for 5hrs I had to go to the bathroom pretty bad, I buzzed for the nurse and told her, she gave me a canister and told me here, that she was too busy to take me to the bathroom. I couldn't stand to do it, because my leg was hurting too much. so I ended up holding it for another hour until I couldn't do any longer and my wife, who had been up for more than 24hrs was starting to feel sick, so I buzzed the nurse again and told her if she could get me a wheel chair and point me to the bathroom, I finally got her to do that, then I told her that my wife isn't in the best health and that she was feeling like she was going to throw-up, because she had been up so long and her reply was, So send her home, I told her I told her to go home, but she refused too. Then basically the response from the nurse was oh well not my problem. finally, almost 11hrs after being there a doctor showed up to check me, the only problem was that he really didn't check me, never looked at my leg, never did any testing, exam or x-rays, all he basically did was bring up my chart and read an x-ray and report that my orthopedic doctor wrote when he took x-rays of my hip a month prior. He gave me a shot telling me in 30 minutes I should begin to feel better and told me to take a pill at bedtime then released me after only seeing me for maybe 5 minutes tops. Releasing me after being there for almost 11hrs and no, the shot did not help the pain it only made the pain worse. If I ever have to go to the ER again, it won't be here.

Brought my husband to the ER due to excruciating pain in leg and was unable to walk. Arrived at 10pm. It is now 6am and he hasn't been seen. When we arrived there were aprox 6 people waiting. I have Never experienced this kind of incompetent medical care. No one came in to check on him or explain the long wait.

The staff was excellent and went above and beyond with the care they provided during our visit in the ICU. It was not the way we anticipated our vacation to go, but the level of care we received made up for everything we missed out on doing. We have never received such quality of care in our home state. Thank you so much!
