I love this place. I don't live in New York but when I come here this is my go too place to eat a delightful burger.

THE best burgers and fries in Rochester. Consistently. Year after year, literally decade after decade, the workers have come and gone, but the food (and building) haven't changed at all. Clean inside, plenty of parking, soft serve ice cream right there for a tasty desert (if you can leave room after the burgers, fries, onion rings, etc). Their buckets of self-serve pickles are still there too, sitting in the same spot on the same counter for more than 40+ years.

♿️ accessible building, 2 manual entrance doors. Order foods at counter from wall sign boards & take it with you to a table. 2 huge Help-yourself free sliced pickles jars. Long time local favorite. Something for everyone grilled & fried American foods, fish fries, shakes, soups & more. Burgers & crispy onion rings are my faves. Seasonal Friday night car cruise-ins.

Very fun and tasty throw-back drive-in. Serves local favorite Zweigle's pork hots (and red) hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, etc. Service was friendly and fast. Nothing fancy, but plenty of old fashioned charm and yummy grill food that's definitely a cut above fast food chain fare. Well worth a stop.

Been going to this location for over 40 years and still is the best burgers around. Good size fish fry on fridays too. Be sure to try their meat sauce, best in Rochester.

A place with the historicity and atmosphere of Schallers ought to boast the best burgers in town. I'm my opinion, the food is nothing special. Not only expensive (par for the course nowadays) but the burger featured a cheap fast-food quality bun. You can pay extra for a decent roll (which makes a great burger) but why should someone have to? Pony up a few cents and give the customer something truly enjoyable - and get in the conversation for best burgers in town.

We went there Saturday afternoon approx 530 p.m. for dinner, the place was filthy and was in need of good sweeping, counters cleaned off. Apparently, not one counter person could pick straw wrappers or anything off the counter. Poor supervision of the staff responsible for maintaining a clean restaurant atmosphere. I understand they may have been "slightly" busy, but as customer service goes....no one wants to walk into an unkept business, especially for food.

Good burgers made to order, all fried foods but tasty. Soups were just ok though. Friendly staff, and good soft serve. Our go to for comfort good cooked right.

There is only 1 problem with Schaller's. They do not have a location in Georgia. I live in Athens now!! I've been eating at the location for 40+ years and it always pleases.

Service was fast and friendly, parking was good, the food was pretty bland though. Even though I ordered a steak sandwich with everything on it (ketchup, mustard, onions, peppers) it didn't really taste like anything. BUT the mozzarella sticks were amazing, chicken tenders were thick and juicy, and the ice cream was very enjoyable

The fries have zero salt and incredibly bland. The burger patty is shockingly thin. The curly fries were fine as were the chicken tenders and ice cream. The pickles you self serve from a bucket are good pickles. I wouldn't feel the need to try this place again. Ordering is a bit chaotic as well and they have different menu's you can't see everything depending on where you are standing.

Good old time Burger joint. been coming here forever.

I hate to write a bad review because we have come to Schaller's for over 20 years, but I have to let management know about today's two garbage plates. A full inch of liquid at the bottom of our plates and undercooked fries. MANAGEMENT: please oversee the food you are putting out. We have many places to choose from and can't say we'll be back after this. It's not my nature to ask for a refund ($32 with two cokes); I'd rather this be a lesson so that quality can hopefully be re-established. Disappointing.
