When I tell you the Snapper fillet is absolutely delicious, the rice and peas is a whole experience by itself, and the broccoli and carrots was healthy and cooked perfect. May I add that the Zucchini and butternut melody, Curry Cod, Oxtails, Jerk Chicken, Pumpkin soup, Brown stew , Curry Goat, Curry chicken is like no other. Don’t forget the vegan options like the Heritage Tofu, Curried Lentils and Veggie delight. And don’t get me started on the fresh fried dumplings and fantastic homemade Sorrel. The Staff always has Superior customer service. And Please, Please, Please try the ever so famous Chef Lorna’s Rum cake & Carrot cake. Have the Jerk Salad and it will take your breath away. Raise your glasses at the Bar, converse in the Main room or take in the sights of the Beautiful & Romantic Heritage Room. I recommend you go have the Caribbean Heritage Experience you won’t regret it!

There is nothing like it. We (10 of us) had a holiday meal there and everything was delicious!! I tried curry cod for the first time. It was excellent. I also had a little taste of the grilled snapper. A must next time. I often get the oxtails which I enjoy. The cabbage was just right, not overcooked . What a great dining experience. The chef/owner always greets us when we go, and is gracious! I took home a piece of rum cake which is yummy but I feel like napping after I have it! As they say, "come check we."

Had a very delicious dinner here. I had the jerk chicken and my wife had the oxtail. Both of us enjoyed the meal. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was friendly. Our desserts (Rum cake and red velvet cake) were delicious too. We'll certainly be back!

First time ordering to-go (due to covid) and had such a pleasant pick-up experience. The man who cashed me out and brought me my food was very kind - when I asked if it was OK to pay with card he said of course and remarked it would be OK to pay with rocks - we both laughed it was a sweet sentiment. It added to the humble and genuine spirit of the restaurant that I sensed in my short time of being there. He suggested I come back when I was able to truly experience the restaurant for a sit-down meal. The food I ordered was delicious, especially the plantain. I will definitely be back!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I’ve searched all over Rochester for a real taste of Caribbean food and THIS IS IT‼️💯And you MUST order a side of their #MacnCheese it is the BEST I’ve had, here in Rochester. And their customer service is phenomenal. If I could give this place 20 ⭐️ I WOULD WITHOUT A DOUBT.

We enjoyed our lunch at the Caribbean Heritage Restaurant. The owners are pleasant, responsive and attentive. The food was authentic and very flavorful. We found this gem through well deserved online reviews and look forward to trying out more of their excellent menu.

When you bite into your food, and your eyes close while a smile spreads across your face you know it's gonna be a good meal. Literally every bite was incredible. Staff is really friendly, portions are large, meat is so tender it falls apart on the fork. Do yourself a favor and try them out.

We had the braised tofu in curry sauce with sides of rice and peas, and another white rice with veggies. It was great. Very nice Caribbean atmosphere of background island music, Jamaican of course. We'll be coming back again to try other dishes too.

Excellent food, and friendly staff! We just got takeout for the first time and we'll definitely be coming back. Jerk chicken was falling off the bone, moist and tender. Rice and peas has great kick to it. The curried cod was nice but less spicy. Brown rice as well as the zucchini medly cool down your mouth.

My family ordered 5 different entrees with a variety of sides to share, and absolutely everything was fantastic. The fried plantains and callaloo were delicious as well as the oxtail. Even the vegetarian options were fantastic. You can tell how much care they put into each dish, and I'm excited to go back. Definitely check them out!

Wow wow wow. I'd give Caribbean Heritage six stars if Google would let me. Walked here from Corn Hill on a summer night and was absolutely blown away. The generous helping of curry goat was the best I've ever had, and the plantains are fire. But the big surprise was the zucchini and butternut side, which was ridiculously flavorful. I didn't even consider leaving anything on the plate, and halfway thought through the consequences of eating the bones. Just as good as the meal was the conversation I had at the bar with Jerome Underwood, the co-owner (his wife is the chef; they started the restaurant this year after running a successful catering business for 15 years). Jerome was warm and engaging but never overbearing. I'm excited to see him again and sample the rest of the menu. FYI, for vegan and vegetarian brethren: there are several practiced dishes on the menu that are vegan (unusual for a Caribbean restaurant in my experience), because Jerome, a practicing Rastafarian, has been a vegetarian for forty years. Definitely a place at the table here for all inclinations.
