I really enjoyed this park and taking photos and video clips here. There is a fairly wide variety of birds around the lake in this park (red winged black birds, geese, pelican, Mallard ducks, a hawk and another black water fowl that dives for fish), great playground equipment for children to play on, and big covered pavillions with barbeque grills for fairly larg groups of people. The path around the lake is perfect for nice walk. The details on the verterans memorial monuments were interesting to read.

Does anyone knows who supposed to maintain this park? Looks awful! It's so sad

I had a great walk today at this beautiful park. Took a few nice photos of a Swan and met a couple of nice people to chat with.

Great place to take the kids and play. There is a nice walking trail around the lake and there is accessable fishing as well. There are basketball courts and a veteran's memorial. Landscape is nicer than previous years and better maintained. One of the nicer parks in Greeley.

The grounds look way better than they have been looking. Grounds keepers are doing awesome, n the fishing is going okay.

Gorgeous park with big lake and nice trail around lake. Many red winged black birds, some geese, I saw a big white bird on the lake with a huge yellow beak and a hawk in a tree. The playground equipment for children to play is very nice and the covered picnic tables are very nice. They even have barbecue grills beside pavilions and two basketball courts. Restrooms have a sign that says they open 05/02/2022.

First time here! It's absolutely a beautiful park. The War Memorial is amazing! The children's playground is also amazing! My grandson did not want to leave, and neither did I!

It's okay it used to be better. It's also become a little bit more unsafe feeling as there has been more crime in the surrounding area and many more homeless hanging out on the park benches. I wouldn't mind as much but I've always got my young children with me.

Granddaughter s 1 st birthday was here, bathrooms were very nice, picnic area clean and lake within 30-50 yards. Sidewalks in great condition.

We had our club potluck here for the first time. It was great! The shelter is very nice and has a fireplace for colder months. The walk around the lake is marked with the distance. The Veterans Memorial is a lovely addition, if you've never seen it. There are trees and plenty of parking. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Park has been well kept for YEARS, I've been to this park as a little kiddo, teens, and now into ky adult hood with my family or colleagues. I will say the park itself is beautiful and a great place to get some walking or running in. The playground area is well kept as well as the benches. Very rarely do I see much litter hanging around the area. I will suggest late at night due to what I do for a career. I do see alot of sketchy drug deals/ wired exchanges going on in the parking lots so I do suggest not going with family around then an possibly some security.

A great park with nice monuments to those who serve and have served their country both in military and law enforcement.

This is a great place to walk your pups! There's enough sidewalk around the whole thing that I can get about 45 minutes of a walk for my big dog, that time includes lots of stopping for smells. I will say though that when it's dark out, the lights on the west side of the park make for a dangerous situation for a lone female, they are bright but below eye level, which makes it impossible to see if anyone is approaching you. So, just avoid after dark, otherwise it's good for walking, running, covered picnic areas, playgrounds, basketball courts--something for everyone!

Its got nice place for kids to play. (Big & Small) 😉 Benches to sit and watch. Grass for dogs to run and play. I believe a mile and a half of sidewalk that goes around the park and a lake in the middle where u can sit and watch ducks. I don't recommend fishing here. Only 4 stars due to the bad wasp problem!

I like the trails here, it's convenient for walking on my lunch breaks. I liked it better before the city changed the grass, now there are a lot of weeds. The lake is beautiful and I do like the addition of the benches.

Absolutely beautiful, we felt safe and secure in company of wonderful people. Thank you for th3 beautiful space to enjoy family time! Your hard work and dedication to the environment was above and beyond our expectations. Never will we forget that on our journey this summer.

Beautiful Park. The lake is beautiful and relaxing to sit by. The park has great amenities and it has a lot of offer. I love walking the path.

Great day @ Bittersweet! Caught 7 trout, stockers so released them to grow up a bit! Only complaint is the grass is super over grown!!

As far as outside space goes it's a good spot to get a breath of fresh air and your heart rate up, if you are in the area. There is water to walk around which seems to be a luxury around here but I will add that I am not a local. There was a fallen officer memorial which I found interesting, I carve wood as a hobby not professionally, so I am genuinely interested in sculpture. The stone figure looks at his/her feet. A blue light between the feet shines up under the figures chin. The left side of the sculpture is smooth and shows roughed out detail of an arm and hand. The right side is unfinished but has drilled holes at angles into the surface which I took to represent bullet holes. There are stones with thought provoking text around the figure and stone benches to sit on. If you have time your close and you appreciate or are willing to feel the tension I would recommend grabbing a coffee and sitting there for twenty minutes. There was another memorial on the corner which looked to be bigger in scale but I was cold and didn't make it over. I will before we leave in the new year.
