Used to be good. But under new management it has gone bad!! Fired old staff. Changing how they are trying to bill everyone. Rodent and roach problem. I had a mouse jump out a ceiling vent in my bedroom. I lived here for 2 years prior and never had a rodent problem. I moved out end of April. Have documents saying my apartment and account was in good standing. STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK!! I called last week and the lady said it had not been dispersed, but she will email, find out why and call me back. Still no call back, and no answer when calling the building. I have a few neighbors I still keep in contact with and apparently no one is ever around and nothing gets fixed. Residents are in talks with lawyers. STAY AWAY!!!

I would not. Live in Charlestowne North apts in Greenbelt ever again. It is ran by Livinggo Communities and manger name is Chaim Perl and he is trying to run the place from New York. He is not paying nobody he is behind on all his bills and the rent is way to high. He is getting rid of the best office manger there is and the best Maintance man there who knows the building in side and out and been there for 38 years. So if you move there you will be very disappointed. No supply to fix anything and keeping the building clean. Your car might even get broken into also. I had to put one star but if I did not have to put any stars I would not do that at all.

Unfortunately, this apartment has gone downhill since the new management took over. Many people are leaving, things are not getting fixed as they should. There are many water leakages affecting many apartments and the AC units do not work properly or at all. There seems to be a lot of plumbing issues, as well. Office hours are unclear, I have come prior to 4pm multiple times and the office is closed. They decided to bill for utilities when the lease I signed included utilities. The rent is high considering this is a 650 sq ft apartment, plus things are not working properly. The pool has not opened this summer, there are machines in the gym that do not work, the overall outside maintenance has also declined. The new owner seems he does not care at all. I should have stayed in my prior apartment complex. Avoid the headache and stay away.

Do not move here. This place used to be really nice but after the new management took over, it has gone downhill since. Maintenance requests are not addressed and there are constant problems with elevators, laundry rooms and building security system. The rent is much too high for the lack of quality you get here.

Avoid at all cost! It used to be great, but it was bought by a slum lord who is running the place from New York. No one is in the office anymore and nothing will get fixed anymore. They fired legacy employees. I realize this is not the office ladies' fault. They are but a buffer for the bourgeoisie owners. It is not fair to them. It is also not fair to the tenants.

Stay far away from this apartment complex. Back in Dec. 2022 I viewed an apartment and submitted an application that was approved by the old management. I changed my mind and sent an email stating I wouldn’t be moving in. I never signed the lease. I requested for my security deposit to be returned, as of today I still do not have the money. In Feb. 2023 I received a phone call from someone associated with Charlestowne’s billing stating that I owe money and need to make a payment. I call and express I never signed a lease with them and have never lived there. Both the new front desk workers and the billing lady acknowledged this and said they would get it fixed. I requested that they send me an email with this information so that there are no further issues, I never received anything. However, I stopped getting phone calls so I figured they handled things on their end. Yesterday, I received an email from Charlestowne’s rent manager stating I owe practically double the amount that was told to me when I spoke to the billing lady in Feb 2022. I called front desk and spoke to Ashley. I was told she would speak to accounting and her property manager and call back. This morning, I received the same email with the amount being increased daily as they are assessing “late fees “ to someone who never signed a lease with them. Ever since new management has taken over this property has declined. It is ridiculous the amount of times I have called and requested that they fix this error, that they are clearly refusing to do anything about.

I've lived in Charlestowne North for about 3 and a half years. The building is rather old and it shows its age in many places but recently they have been doing more to improve the building since the last change in ownership. In the past year we have gotten new laundry machines, pool repair, parking lot repair, and the AC has been much more reliable. The last point is very important since as some of the other reviews mentioned that was a major problem in the past. The location for me was great with access to the Capital Beltway, BW Parkway, and metro a short drive away. It is also right next to an entrance to the Greenbelt Lake Park which is a great place for a walk and connects to Historic Greenbelt. Also I've always appreciated the ample supply of parking! This review has been mostly positive so far so I should cover some of the negatives. The walls block very little noise so you will often hear what your neighbors are up to if they are making more noise than simply talking. My apartment seemed to be a rush job to get a ready for me as the cable connections and anything else on the wall was painted over. Also there seems to have been items left on the ground as they installed the carpet as there are bumps in various places. I also cannot open my dishwasher door without also opening why refrigerator since the doors collide (see attached picture). Much of this is specific to the unit I was in so your experience may be different. Overall considering the location, price (utilities included), and space available it is a pretty good place to live. I've also always had good interactions with the leasing office and repairs are usually prompt (I only had small issues so not sure how the deal with larger requests).
