Convenient location. Front desk staff working on Sunday morning was amazing! He was very friendly and I left my prop up pillow and called back. He retrieved it and was very helpful. However, the rooms, not so great We asked for connecting rooms and the doors did not work. One door was falling off of the hinges. Sunday morning there was no hot water in the shower, lukewarm at best. But hot water in the sink. The in room coffee is nasty. And to charge for a breakfast that you can get included at other Hilton properties is not acceptable. I will stay at Hampton Inn properties instead. Much better stay with breakfast included.

Dear Xavier A. Corporate Guest Relations Specialist I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the treatment I received during my recent experience at your hotel. Not only was I charged a full payment AND a cancellation fee for a cancellation made within 30 minutes of booking, but the management staff I dealt with were incredibly rude and unhelpful in resolving the issue. It is unacceptable to charge a guest a full payment AND a cancellation fee for a cancellation made within such a short period of time, especially when the circumstances were beyond my control. The fact that the management staff were unwilling to listen to my concerns and instead chose to be dismissive and rude only added insult to injury. As a frequent traveler, I have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced such poor treatment. I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this situation and to ensure that other guests are not subjected to similar treatment in the future. Sincerely,

My second time staying at this location. Was not impressed the first time, but this time clearly not pleased. At first I thought the suite was nice, but as I looked around I noticed the couch was nasty, the carpet was dingy, and the side chair was nasty. The desk chair arm was broken. The suite had a huge bathroom with shower and tub which was nice. It also had a large ½ bath. When I’m in this area I normally stay In Shirlington, VA where they have shops and restaurants in walking distance. Not much around this hotel that you can walk to. Traveling back in to D.C. from the MD side is not the best.

We are from the UK and my son and I visited this lovely hotel in 2012 and again in 2014. It is a wonderful hotel with the most helpful and friendly staff you could wish for. Also, the beds are the most comfortable in any hotel we have ever visited. We will always remember this place with great fondness and when we visit the US again, we will book here - we dont need to look anywhere else. Thank you to all the lovely staff. 5-stars for a “three star hotel” (according to who?). The grounds are very nice. Everything is clean and well maintained. What’s not to like here. The room is as you would expect- it’s a comfortable and safe place to spend the night. Exactly what I paid for.

We stayed for 3 days and overall it was 3 out of 5. The bed was comfortable, clean and staff were nice. We had an issue with our bathroom and Getnet was there to fix everything, he was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. 1. But here are few things to expect; old furniture, dirty carpet and the hotel is out dated. 2. They have so many spots that are reserved parking for there diamond guests. Which leads the other guests to park on the side of the building where there is no security cameras. 3. Before I booked this hotel I read one of the reviews that stated they saw a brand new Toyota Camry that had 4 missing wheels on the side parking lot. I thought to myself there is no way that happened. But lord be hold as we checked out and were leaving to the airport I happened to look at the parking lot to the side of the building and guess what I saw…… A BRAND NEW TOYOTA CAMRY WITH NO WHEELS. Not just one wheel but all 4 of the wheels. I was so shocked that I made my husband turn around so I can confirm what I just saw. There is a sign that says park at your own risk but if Hilton can’t provide any form of security to its guests, especially knowing that there is theft activity, that’s not right. And after seen this with my own eyes I will definitely not stay here again. Mostly due to the security issues, I can’t stay in a place where my safety is not valued.

At first it would have been a 1 star, but after Donna figured out a solution to the situation they get the 5 star. Donna very kind lady very people friendly!!! Gigi the bartender was also the same way!! You felt comfortable in a different city, state away from home!!! Finger foods were amazing!!! Do not go to Friday's!!!!!! Lesson learned. If we come to town we will be staying here again!!! Thanks to Donna and Gigi!!!!

I was charged $50 extra, mandatory, for a deposit (even though they had a deposit and rooms are paid at time of checking). Deposit is for food (no room service or in room food or drink) and amenities (indoor pool/hot tub are unavailable). No receipt is available to show a breakdown of room vs deposit, because "WE don't get the money yet, it is in the cloud". Deposit will be refunded in 10-15 business days. Just poor business and no customer service. Bunch of hotels here, go somewhere else.

Pool was cold. Hot tub was just as cold as the pool. Green water. Called the maintenance person to come and help. He fixed the hot tub and water started to filter and get warmer but there was no way I was risking my health to get in. Bubbles did not work at all. I expect much better than this at a Hilton. Rooms were ok. Close to BWI which it's fine if that is what you are using this hotel for. Anything more I'd advise someplace else.

Krunal at the Hilton Garden Inn DC/Greenbelt really helped me out of a bad situation. We were locked out of our airbnb and needed a room to sleep/be safe. He made it happen and also was kind enough to give us some breakfast vouchers. He was efficient and had a great bedside manner. Thanks Krunal!

Exuberantly expensive. Rooms are not that clean, bedding, and pillows have a distinct smell. There is no value for money. However, the reception area and dining area are greatly maintained.

Incredibly outdated. Wall paper peeling off the walls, elevators scorching hot and smelly Rooms outdated. Beds hard as a rock. Sheets thin and itchy. Hot tub had weird fungus looking stuff floating around. Breakfast expensive with little options. Do not stay here.

Rating this property: -0 I've stayed at a lot of hotels because of my job over the years. I will have to say this is the worst experience I've ever had. The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. This property hasn't been refreshed since it opened. The entire hotel smells like mildew. This hotel is extremely dirty and nasty. The carpets, curtains, mattresses are old, dirty, and smell bad. The wall paper is peeling off the walls. The AC broke and wet the entire room and it smelled like mildew. They patched it up and didn't even fix it properly. This place will inconvenience the customer and the front desk staff have an attitude when things need to get corrected. Some of the workers have ok customer service while the rest needs to take a class on having good customer service. Donna, I'm assuming she's some kind of a manager from Louisiana. This lady has serious issues. She definitely needs to have a lot of refreshers on how to speak to guests and having excellent customer service skills. She's very rude speaking to the guests. Her daughter works there and is the same exact way as her mother "RUDE". The housekeepers are nice and only do what they are told. They have parties during the week knowing they have people in the building working early morning shifts. This is a very disrespectful property. The pool had stuff floating around it. The spa didn't work properly. Employers: If you have a job in the area and need a hotel for your employees. Please do not use this hotel. This hotel has parties in the downstairs area with a DJ and very loud bass music during the week. Your employees will not get any sleep. It's ridiculous! They are very disrespectful and have no consideration for people in the hotel. People in the parking lot sleeping in their cars. Make sure you park where you can see your car. Because when you come outside you will have stuff and scratches on your car. The hotel washer and dryer are the first made it seems like. They make so much noise it's ridiculous. My clothes didn't dry I had to hang them up in the room. I didn't feel like dealing with old machines anymore. The two elevators had major issues. I was definitely hesitant about getting on them. Overall Observation: Go to a different hotel. This property shouldn't be under the Hilton brand. This place makes the entire brand a disgrace. #HiltonHotels

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/Greenbelt and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The hotel is conveniently located and offers great facilities and service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We only stayed one night, less than 24 hours to split up a drive. We had the king room with a pull out couch for our two kids. The pull out couch mattress looked like a dog had chewed it up and the bar for the bed was broken. One of the kids fell down because of it. We didn't call down because it was already after 10:30 and we just needed sleep to finish our drive, so we had to prop the mattress up with the bathroom trash can. The king bed was hard and there was trash (not ours) under the bed. Rooms was very large, TV had a lot of channels, furniture was dated. The lobby and restaurant are looked nice, but we didn't stay long enough to check out the rest of the hotel.

No issues during our stay. The room we stayed in was cleaned well, spacious, a mini fridge and microwave was provided, no odors, heating or water issues. The front desk staff (Maggie) was friendly. No safe was provided in the room.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the suite I was in was very large. However, all of the furniture was old and badly scratched, the carpet was torn, and the bar faucet had to be set at just he right spot or it wouldn't turn off. The whole place just felt very out of date. The furnishings obviously had been there for along time, and there were no USB ports anywhere. Breakfast is not included, and the breakfast I got in the restaurant was greasy, with a weird sweet taste to the sausage. The "continental" included with the breakfast was really small with minimum choices - 2 bowls of cut-up fruit, a few cereals, yogurt, and bagels. It is pretty close to NASA Goddard SFC, but I will choose another location next time I'm there.

TERRIBLE experience. I recommend people STAY AWAY. AC did not work right. room still 76-78 at 1 am. room phone didn't work. Party until 3 am one night, large group of kids banging on doors, slamming doors, running in hallways, yelling etc until 1130pm another night. Desk staff were all wonderful but all they can do is pass on concerns. 5 day stay NOTHING was addressed, no one responded to me. to this day hotel has not responded to me. One mngt person, Donna, wrote an email response that I was included in it was so nasty and inaccurate I do not even know what to say. But mngt continues to ignore me as they did the problems. DO NOT waste your money.

Room smells strongly of Febreze and it isn’t going away after 24 hours, no decaf coffee available in the mornings, only one kind of regular coffee is available. Breakfast takes 20+ minutes for simple eggs and bacon when no one else is in the restaurant. Tonight came back and there were strong unpleasant smells in the lobby and elevator area. Very little Verizon cell service in the rooms. Definitely would not recommend staying here.

I was having some booking issues and Michale the GM at this property helped me solved this quickly. Mukhter and Krunal at the Front Desk did a great job. GIGI at the Bar is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Breakfast Team was very helpful and Welcoming.

DO NOT STAY HERE. NOT SAFE. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Very Bad experience for family and Kids. Old rooms and not maintained well. Bed and pillows were so bad. Not kids friendly. There were some people drinking alcohol and urinating on the bushes facing car parking when people are walking. Even they urinated in the parked cars. Kids were scary on the lift with drunk people speaking rubbish. Not able to sleep with fear and wanted to run away as soon as the checkout day came. very bad experience and please dont go here.

I was just there on Sunday August 29. We were charged another night when the reservation was clearly for 1 night. The cleaning manager and the front desk clearly don't communicate. We were checked out by 8am on that Sunday. I wouldn't recommend staying bcuz of this BIG problem. No one wants to be overcharged.

PLEASE I beg you DO NOT stay here unless you want your car windows to be thoroughly smashed!! Management acknowledges that this is an issue but fails to do anything about it. Management did not have a follow up call with me post the incident despite promising to get back to me. Thieves are smart, they know this hotel has poor video camera coverage and where to break into cars. As opposed to a "park your vehicle at your own risk", they might as well say "please break our guests' car windows and steal their belongings." I have never been so disappointed in a Hilton before. They didn't offer any compensation, no free night, no points, no reimbursement for the stay, nothing...The only bright side was that the front desk attendees were very compassionate and helpful during this time, I sympathize with them that they have to work under such awful management.

Let me begin by telling you my worst hotel stay ever. Do not believe any positive reviews they are posted by staff members, this hotel is rediculous after showing up from my flight from Canada and waiting forever for my car rental at the airport I arrive at this hotel tired and need of rest. I booked three nights 2 weeks earlier and was told when I arrived that the hotel was overbooked and they had no more rooms. Which was a lie I found out later there was plenty of rooms but didn't have enough staff to clean them. I refused to leave and watch furious people come and go for 2 hours while I stayed and said I'm not leaving and sure enough they came back and said 2 hours later your room is ready. I get in the room and it was musty but whatever I went to bed looking forward to the complimentary hot breakfast they advertised, well it was bagels and toast and fruit, I asked where was the hot food and they said the 3 people they had working that time wasn't enough staff to cook the breakfast, oh and buy the way its $12 for bagels and toast per person. After our last night we wanted to use there nice pool and hot tub before we left ledt as well, they had not put chlorine in it for days it was cloudy and stank. For the love of God never go to this hotel if you read the other reviews they are just going to charge your credit card and try and send you out the door when you arrive. STAY AWAY

It was super packaged and booked. The rooms were musty and warm. There were several events going on in the hotel and people cooking meals in their rooms having parties. The several of the floors smelled horrible due to this. The $130/night I expected better.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past while visiting son at a nearby college which is why we chose. This last trip was a disappointment. While the staff was courteous as always, and the rooms clean, the hotel was hurting. One elevator out of service; no towels in fitness center; pool was closed; ice machines not working; bathrooms have no fan. The last night we were there, a private event was held and there was no parking for the hotel guests. We were hardly there, but when we were, we felt the property was not consistent with other Hilton Garden Properties. Very disappointed and will not be going back.

Very friendly service, and they go above and beyond to accommodate special requests. But..... They need to hire a better cook for breakfast and put a security fence around their parking lot. Two cars had their wheels stolen the last night I stayed there.

I stayed here a few weeks ago and it was very underwhelming, I booked this hotel specifically for the pool and then realized it wasn't open, the woman at the front desk for our first day was friendly and gave me an address to a local pool but it was still disappointing to not have that amenity when it was advertised. They offer a coffee maker in the rooms but fail to provide anything other than decaf for them, the only regular coffee is in the lobby for $7 a cup. As others have stated in their reviews the breakfast is overpriced and i was able to go to a local dinner to get better quality food for a lower price, and only one out of two elevators they have are working. The drinks at the bar are overpriced as well, one other person and i had 3 drinks total and it was a $50 bill. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have stayed here a couple of times and this was the first time I was disappointment. I pre-checked in but room was not available upon my arrival after 3. When I got to my room it smelled strange. After a 4 hour drive I just wanted to relax and not wait for another room. Thank goodness I wore slippers because the floor is in need of shampooing. Front desk attendant told me they were short in housekeeping and it showed in the cleanliness of the room. I always bring my own supplies anyway for this reason. I never used the blankets or pillows. I just curled up on top of the bed wrapped in my jacket. I was hoping breakfast the next day would be good. Not at all. Not even worth describing. Afrika was awesome and was working really hard. To top it off 7 cars were broke into that night. I was so worried that I could barely sleep all night. This could have just been a bad weekend for them, so I'm going to give it the benefit of doubt.

Most of the staff was very friendly, check in was smooth. Room looked like all the others. However safe didn't work, I told the front desk, they said they would send maintenance, that was Monday morning, I checked out Thursday morning. No one ever fixed it. I also asked for a printed receipt, the toner ran out and you couldn't read it, she told me, "well, it's emailed too you." One of the 2 elevators was out of service. Grounds was not hilton standard

I reserved this hotel almost 3 weeks back with valid confirmation. The reservation was from 10/7 to 10/9. When I reached on 10/7 around 11PM, I was told, hotel was overbooked and there's no room available. No one called me prior that there was no room and I was simply told, look for other hotels. Even I checked in through Hilton app. I had to call different hotels around midnight to get a room. The hotel didn't take any accountability, neither helped me to find a room in near by hotel. Such a bad customer service and worst hotel management. Cannot even believe hilton app anymore.

If you want to swim or enjoy the hot tub please read the reviews. Both were stagnant, disgusting, and cold. I have stayed in Hilton Garden Inns before and we picked Hilton because of the pool accommodations. Skip this hotel. I truly am not a snob but appreciate a hot tub with out a layer of scum floating in top.
