This is a great place to visit, and easy to get to by bus so no need for a taxi. The cave is amazing to see and you get some gorgeous views of the Atlantic. Stopped for some fishcakes and fries before going for the bus home. They were delicious. We got in for half price as the cave was closed for swimming due to heavy seas which was a bonus, didn't want to swim in it to be fair. A great half day out.

What an amazing experience. While I was disappointed that the lower area wasn't open with the anemones, the experience of being in the caves close to the Atlantic waves was amazing. Seeing the coral rock structures was fascinating and then all this was topped off by swimming in the graduating deep pool. Just as I thought it couldn't get any better ... a fabulous restaurant with great menu, friendly staff and amazing food on top of a cliff ! A recommended visit to anyone visiting the island.

Had the best time at Animal Flower Cave! The caves are stunning, well worth going down, and the restaurant simply incredible! One of the best experiences in my time in Barbados! The food was unbelievable, especially the stewed guava over coconut ice cream, which was recommended to me by one of the waiters. It was heavenly! And I ended up with the best view for my meal! 100% would recommend and if I'll ever make it to Barbados again, I will be back!

The perfect way to end a visit to the gorgeous underground limestone caverns. The food at the restaurant is both fresh and a joy to behold. Great welcome and service we felt right at home. Would recommend the breadfruit shell tacos!

Great food, excellent service, and phenomenal views. Can’t ask for much else. It’s not the easiest and cheapest to get to the restaurant/caves sometimes, but is extremely worth it. Highly recommend ending your meal with a coffee. They bring you out a little French press and the coffee is delicious, especially while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Lovely, open space with breathtaking scenic views. The cliffside restaurant has a nice, laid-back ambience and the fresh sea breeze and ocean views add to the entire experience. The menu offers a variety of dishes prepared from local ingredients. After partaking in the delectable fare, exploring the underground cave is a must-do! Would definitely recommend!

This place is a natural wonder, we didn’t get a chance to go into the cave as it was shut just a few minutes before we got there due to weather. The clif view was simply amazing, you can hear the sound of water splashing against the rocks. Was also an incredible drive to North point, we went through haymans market

Excellent location and food! Worth a visit if you're on the island for a unique shoreline cliff view unlike the other beaches. The restaurant has seating with a gorgeous view and serves fresh caught fish specials that are marvelous.

Impressive and dramatic coast line. Impossible to swim here but there are lots of benches allowing you to take in the view. A good restaurant on site and a well stocked gift shop. A sign mentions the site is closed on Monday so do keep that in mind.

Very cool experience. We went down in the cave, saw the animal flowers, swam in the last cave and hung out for a bit. It was well worth it despite not having as much time to swim in the cave as we’d like. The pictures online are a bit deceiving though as you can’t go out to the edge like they have posted. The food was pretty good although a bit pricey. Gorgeous views around the area as well!

Absolutely amazingly peaceful. You have to make your way up here. Get out the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy some different natural beauty Barbados has to offer!! I HIGHLY recommend you go down to the caves. A local Bajan will chat your ears off as he gives you a mini tour of the caves and please promise me you will take a swim in the caves. It’s so refreshing.

Wonders of Nature! Simply gorgeous, no other words to quantify it. Seeing is believe. Due to strong winds and tide, no swimming in the cave but still worth the experience and view outside the cave is incredible too. You can get lost in the beauty. Screensaver worthy shots👌🏾

Beautiful Spot but Could Be Better Maintained Also the price didn’t match the expectations This location offers a stunning natural view, with a cave opening framing the ocean in a truly breathtaking way. The reflection of the sky in the tide pool adds to the magic, making it a great spot for photography and nature lovers. However, I have to rate it 3 stars because while the scenery is beautiful, the area could use better maintenance and accessibility improvements. Some parts of the terrain are quite rough, making it difficult to navigate. There was also some litter around, which took away from the overall experience. If you’re up for an adventure and don’t mind a bit of a challenge, it’s still worth visiting for the view. But be prepared with sturdy shoes and keep your expectations in check regarding upkeep.

We didn’t go into the caves due to the mixed reviews and the cost of admission but it’s well worth a visit to see the stunning shoreline. Take some time to hike around both sides of the establishment to get some great views of the coastline.

The caves are beautiful and well maintained. Guides are well informed. Tickets are cheap. The views of the ocean are spectacular. The location of the cafe is fantastic, feels dreamy sipping on drinks overlooking the giant sea.

Unbelievable caves. Must visit points in Barbados. The view from the top is very beautiful. And the caves are just stunning. 15-20 deep steps and you are into the wonder of the world. Have to be careful when walking inside the cave as it gets slippery at some places. There is a small reserve where you can get into the water too.

I visited here a few years ago with my mom. The cave and scenery around there was beautiful. This was a relaxing place to visit and just enjoy nature. Our tour guide, Tarsus, was wonderful as well. I highly recommend visiting here while on Barbados.

Some staff ignored us as we entered and said hello, although I wouldn't be happy if I was working on boxing day either. Half of our drinks didn't arrive until the main course, nearly an hour later. Otherwise food was good and the view is nice. The cave is 40bbd per person (as of 2023) and comes with a tour guide who explains the history of the cave. Bring swimwear or shoes which you don't mind getting wet if you have poor balance.

My second visit here. This place is breathtaking, fantastic walk along the cliffs with the sea spray coming out of holes. You'll need good footwear and suncream as although it feels cooler being at the top of the North Coast, its actually incredibly hot. There's a little cafe on site and toilets too.

Animal Cave is in the northern point of Barbados, if you were to stay at the crane resort which is in the southern point it takes one hour to reach animal cave. From Harrison’s cave it took 35 minutes. This is the second best attraction in the area. The views are beautiful and relaxing, the mountain ranges are steep and you have to be cautious if you were near the edges. There are no beaches here. There is a 8feet depth swimming which I didn’t do. The cost is 20 USDollars for a person.

If you're doing both the cave tour with swimming and a meal, please go for the meal first!!! Animal flower cave and the restaurant were both wonderful experiences which I thoroughly enjoyed, however we arrived around 2pm, with a meal booked for 3pm, so chose to do the cave tour first. The cave tour was brilliant, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! Seeing the inside of the cave was fascinating, and we got the opportunity to swim in the natural pool at the end of the cave. It was so exciting getting a close up view of the waves crashing into the side of the cave! After the cave tour, there is an outdoor shower you can use to rinse off, and toilets you can get changed in. I found this quite stressful, as there were only 2 toilet cubicles, and the cave water leaves you feeling quite sticky, so it's hard to get changed again. As a result, this meant that when we went for the meal, we all felt a little bit gross and worse-for-wear. Granted, this is absolutely no fault of Animal Flower Cave, and purely our own planning! The meal was wonderful! 10/10 for food quality, taste and quantity. I ordered the Pork & Black Bean Burroti, which came with a small salad. This was wonderful. The blended fruit punch was also delicious. I would definitely come back here to try more of their delicious menu items!

The restaurant at Animal Flower Cave Restaurant serves good food but there isn’t much variety. I like the food which I ordered; it was sumptuous and a lot of salad. Price is reasonable. Since we didn’t have Barbados currency, we paid in USD. When you’re here in Barbados don’t forget to visit the caves. It’s indeed an awesome sight. But just be careful, the rocks can be slippery. The guide will bring you to a spot where you can swim in the clear crystal water. You must not miss this out.

This place reminds me of some spots on the Oregon Coast. We enjoyed the scenery quite a bit. There was a spot where the water goes through a hole in a rock, like Thor's Well in Yachats, Oregon although in Thor's well, the water seem to be going down the hole to the ocean.

Great place to spend a day in Barbados. Getting here is easy with a car but if one wants to be adventurous, then recommend taking a bus or ZR from Speighstown and get down at Conneltown, ~10 mins walk to get to Animal Flower Cave. They have a restaurant, with some of the friendliest service, outstanding views and good food. Highly recommend taking the cave tour (20 USD per person).

During my recent trip to Barbados, I had the pleasure of dining at Animal Flower Cave, located at North Point. This unique spot offers not just a meal but an experience, combining decent food, excellent service, and an unforgettable ambiance. Food: I ordered the Spicy Cuban Black Bean and Jasmine Rice, followed by a Brownie Sundae for dessert. The main dish was well-prepared, with the beans offering a nice kick of spice balanced by the aromatic jasmine rice. While it wasn’t the most exceptional dish I’ve ever had, it was satisfying and flavorful. The brownie sundae, on the other hand, was a delightful end to the meal, with a rich, fudgy brownie topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Service: The service at Animal Flower Cave was outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about enhancing the dining experience. From quick refills to thoughtful recommendations, their professionalism added a positive touch to the evening. Ambiance: The true highlight of Animal Flower Cave is its stunning setting. Situated alongside the beach, the restaurant offers a naturistic ambiance that’s hard to beat. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and the panoramic ocean views create a serene and picturesque dining environment. Whether you’re seated indoors or out, the beauty of the location is ever-present, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal. Overall Experience: Overall, Animal Flower Cave provides a well-rounded dining experience. While the food was decent, it’s the breathtaking setting that truly make this restaurant worth visiting. If you find yourself in North Point, Barbados, I highly recommend stopping by for the view (if not for the meal) that’s both satisfying and scenic.

We didnt stay long in the touristy looking area by the plentiful parking. The restaurant looked nice with an expansive view directly on the ocean and a decent menu with fair prices, we might have eaten but we were late for lunchtime and not ready for dinner. We hiked about a mile to the south all the way to the end where there appears to be an abandoned resort of some kind. There was a hidden cement staircase in front of the abandoned buildings leading down to an isolated small beach area that was fun to explore. All along the way beautiful vistas and large waves crashing above the seawall. Hot and no shade but sea air and steady breeze felt good enough.

Large sea cave with several huge chambers filled with pools, unusual rock formations, and a few sea anemones. Required tours of the cave include pools deep enough to swim in. After touring the cave, enjoy the cliff top views with a rum punch in hand.

This experience was fun! A guide escorted tour into and around the cave is essential and the only way to gain access. The steps are steep and the floor of the cave jagged and can be slippery making it difficult/unsuitable for young children and the less able. Wear suitable footwear and changing rooms are available to get into your swimming gear before entering the cave. The swim in the cave pool is fun and worthwhile negotiating the loose rocks. All in all you are down there for about 30 mins for $40 (Barbadian) per adult. Afterwards enjoy the views from the windy cliffs above.

Absolutely knocks the breath out of you when you walk up and see what you are there to view. Our apartment's landlord stated he was taking us to his favorite spot on all of the island. We weren't even ready for what we were to see. How absolutely gorgeous of a site that God would create! I would love to come back and just sit, read, watch, eat, and be inspired all day long.

Northern tip of the island. Gorgeous views. The site has a restaurant, cliffside walk, access to the caves (you can swim in there so bring a suit), guide, showers and washroom, and a canteen where you can get snacks. There are also souvenir stands set up. Excellent experience all around.

We reached here on Christmas Day when the restaurant was closed, so we parked outside and walked along the shore. By shore, I mean "above" the actual shore, on the rocks. Make sure you have good feet protection because the rocky surface is very jagged, and you will get hurt if you aren't wearing proper footwear. We were in flip flops, so we were extra careful. The views were terrific, and we spent a very pleasant 1 hour here. We cannot comment on the actual restaurant and facilities although the location of the restaurant is right on the ridge and offers excellent waterside dining.

Great food. Limited hours on the kitchen but excellent service. Plan ahead and we called to make sure we could make it. Little shop with souvenirs on site and the entrance to the cave is a separate cost. We didn’t have time for both so we had food and enjoyed the exceptional view.

Food in the restaurant was good, especially the chicken and potato roti and the jerk chicken. The caves were interesting and the guide that escorted you was extremely knowledgeable, he pointed out the waves have sculpted shapes into the rocks. Take shoes with a good grip and you swimwear as you can swim in the cave pool. It's cold when you first enter but relaxing and cooling once you are in. Definitely worth a visit

Great view, great food, great service. To be honest.., our expectations were low... many restaurants with a view like this one just don't care about food quality and service. We were positively surprised! Everything was amazing. Fishcakes, roti, bread food tacos and even an amazing poutine! Highly recommend! The caves were amazing as well and we had a great guide. Floors can be a little slippery and rocky, but the pace of the tour is slow and the guide helps you find your footing. You can swim as well and it's a really cool experience

It is fat north point of island. We took two public transit to reach over there. Be ready to do some cardio to reach to the final location if you are taking bus. But walk also worth as you get best scenic view. We did the cave tour. Worth it. Guide was nice and informative. There is a spot where you can actually see sea water rushing through those caves and comes out with water splash from hole. For that you need to take little walk from right scenic view entrance , walk down to small bridge parallel to cliff

The Animal Flower Caves is an incredible coral cave formation. Imagine a gigantic coral reef... One massive enough to wander inside of... That's what the Animal Flower cave is like. Wow! What a spectacular place to visit! The coastline with the wave smashing into the shore was unbelievable. The power of mother nature is unreal. We were unable to visit the cave do to the rough ocean conditions but our experience at the restaurant was excellent! We were quickly seated with a supreme view of the ocean. The ocean spray would literally climb the shoreline and spray 10 feet from our table. Absolutely wild and safe! The Jerk Chicken Tacos were excellent. I found that the tacos were complimented well with an ice cold Deputy Beer! Friendly staff and an overall great experience! Enjoy Barbados!

The caves were awesome. Highly suggest getting there for opening and being the first tour. Very quiet and not a lot of people. We got there for 9am on a Saturday. The restaurant didn't open until 11am, so we didn't get a chance to try the food. The tour took about an hour total.

We loved it here. Incredible views, caves, and a nice refreshing dip in the inner pool. We saw very few sea anemones but that was because it had rained the day before and washed them away. Bring a towel, swimsuit and ideally swimshoes for navigating the cave rock. Barefoot will be quite uncomfortable, and normal shoes might get wet if you misstep I believe guided entry to the cave costs 40 BBD per person, a bit pricey but oversllbworth it. The rest of the grounds are free. Our only annoyance was that as were on a bus tour, we couldn’t stay even longer to fully enjoy the location! Public transport here is impossible - you’ll need a car or to do a tour. But definitely try and get here if you can!

Beautiful place. Great views from any angle. Restaurant is on top of a hill and trip to cave is optional. Btw Remember they are closed Mondays. We paid US $20 per person to go to cave. It’s 27 steps to get to the cave. You should avoid it if you have a body balance problem. Because you need to walk on stones and there isn’t a pathway builded. But remember you can make gorgeous pictures downstairs. Some people ware swimming inside the cave. And again remember about stone bottom under the little pool. Highly recommended, even though it’s an hour drive from Bridgetown. I rented a car and honestly don’t know about taxi prices. Taxi is not cheap on a island so do your own research

Location is stunning. Ambiance reasonably nice for a popular tourist destination on what was probably a stressfully busy day for the owners (new year’s eve). Food is unfortunately poor quality, mass produced and overpriced - disappointing as this could be an amazing destination if they got that part of the formula right.

This place was the most spectacular place in Barbados I went to. The nature views were just beautiful and so worth seeing. Animal Flower sea cave is surprisingly big and enjoyable to tour - you should plan water shoes and bathing suit to enjoy the cool clear pool at end. The sea worms are almost gone though a few examples are still present. This destination should be high on your list of Barbados sites to see once. FYI this is a privately owned tourist destination. Bring cash in case CC machine not working as we experienced. Restaurant meal was delicious and the cliff-side seating was unique - we enjoyed roaring of waves crashing up and sending plumes of bubbly water out. We watched fishing boats at sea dodging rock reefs to get their catch.

We made reservations for the restaurant ahead of time which gave us a great view of the Atlantic. The food was excellent and inexpensive. They didn’t rush us out or try to oversell us. Bought tickets for the cave tour when we arrived. Our guide was relaxed and allowed us to stay pretty much as long as we wanted. I highly recommend the tour, just bring water shoes. Walk the grounds if you have time and sunscreen!

Great place to have lunch and enjoy the great food and waves!

Brilliant. Well organised, friendly. Really nice restaurant where we had a superb lunch with a view to die for. The cave was great. All in all well worth the short drive north.

It was a beautiful drive to get there. The cave and scenery is AMAZING. the downside was due to covid things were closed and the tide was so high we could not go deeper into the cave that most get to. They say Jan-March is the best time.

The restaurant is very good, a bit pricey and portions aren't overly generous, but we were happy overall. Service is friendly. You do have to pay an additional B$25 per person to visit the caves, but it's well worth it. Reservations aren't always required but recommended and easy enough to arrange online.

It was our dream to visit this cave and it was great. Make sure you also try their food. Loved the fish cakes.

The cave is beautiful and an absolute natural wonder. If you have a hard time going up and down steep stairs, I do not recommend the tour. It is not wheelchair or people with physical disability friendly. I even had a hard time coming out of it. It's like climbing up some rocks, but if you are in good shape, no problem at all getting in and out. Be careful walking around in there. I don't recommend wearing sandals down there if you are a first timer. Please wear tennis shoes or aqua socks with a thick sole on the bottom because those rocks are rocky and there is water. Wear your swim suit if you want to take a dip in the pool. The water is cool, but feels great. There is a steady drop and it gets to about 10 ft deep. There are rocks that at the bottom of the pool so this is where your aqua socks come in. Swimming in that pool is the best part, but please be careful. The animal flowers are cute. Also known as sea anemones. Sometimes they are in there and other times they get washed out. Just like sometimes the cave is closed because of the water and sometimes you cannot swim. I would call ahead before making the drive all the way out there to make sure that the cave is open.

Cool place to visit with breathtaking views of the ocean! It's a must do if you enjoy scenic jaunts other than the average beach views. The wind played a part in this experience for us as it really churned up the ocean where the waves met the jagged rocky shore!

Our group liked it. It was shorter to get to the caves than you think. We were greeted by Andrea who was lovely. Our tour guide was Don who was very knowledgeable. You go down some steep stairs and you were right in the caves. Take pictures! After the tour guide walks you around, you have about 15-20 minutes in the water caves were you can swim and float. The food is WORTH IT. Best Breadfruit Tacos and Fish Cakes. Our server was Jamaliaya (unsure of spelling) and we all loved her. 10/10.

Amazing views from the outside, good mix of traders stalls. The caves are reached via some very deep steps, once down, it becomes very slippy, so sensible shoes advised. The caves are interesting and nice to see . Our guide was a young man who was not great, to be honest. The cliff top view is the best thing ,the cave was nice but not amazing, only found 3 flowers/ animals...

I enjoyed eating at the restaurant. The food tasted great. The view is absolutely amazing. I would recommend it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the "cave tour". It is not worth the price ($40 BDS) in my opinion. But some people might get more out of it if they swim in the natural pool inside the cave. I would have preferred to spend the extra money in the restaurant. Having said that, I would recommend going to see the spectacular views from above the cave. Take a look at some of my photos, including 1 from inside the cave. I love Barbados!

The ocean is incredible. Could have watched the waves all day. The view inside the cave is amazing. Very slippery in the cave. Not easy walking. But it is worth the effort.

This was amazing, you gobto the desk and buy a ticket, then wait for your tour guide. They take you inside the cave, the steps are quite narrow so you need non-slip shoes to go down. Otherwise you could slip on the rocks with some bring loose. It's a nice experience to do though, and there is a little shop, restaurant, and cafe to get drinks, good or ice-cream. They are located near yo where you buy a ticket.

What an amazing experience!!!! Visited Barbados in Nov 2022 to go on a cruise with Royal Carribean Rhapsody of the Seas. It was an adventure itself to make it to the northernmost tip of the island so we could visit the Animal Flower Cave. For you to get the most of your trip there - I recommend renting a car, read about navigating through traffic Barbados and roundabouts before attempting to drive, and making sure you've got a map because there were times that GPS was not available. We are from Canada, the driver seat is on the other side and in Barbados you are also driving on the other side of the road. But, oh wow. It was worth making the trip there - the feeling is like encountering a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow when you finally get to the spot. One of the best experiences we had in Barbados.

I really loved the ride to the cave. Nice country side with tons of white butterflies. The cave is absolutely amazing. Make sure you wear something to go for a light quick swim in the natural pool inside the cave. It was disappointing only see 1 rock with animal flowers on it but nonetheless it was amazing!! The views are nice. Make sure you also bring cash to buy something from locals and tour guides.

This place is a must-see. It has breathtaking views and the cave experience is pretty cool too. If you take the tour you will have a chance to swim in the cave. So pack accordingly. I would recommend adding this to your to do list in Barbados!

It's really amazing, $20us to go in the cave with a tour guide, you can swim inside the cave. The food at the restaurant was very good. Get the breadfruit tacos!

Great place to visit the Northern part of Barbados. Beautiful views. Restaurant with lots of seating available and playground for kids to enjoy. We were not able to go down into the caves, but definitely worth a visit next time

Would have given 5* but the restaurant manager was rude upon paying our bill stating we wouldn't have seated us by the cliff view if he knew we weren't going to eat. 1) we didn't decide on drinks only when we arrived 2) prices are very expensive The cave tour was very good. You have to have a guide but at the doorway it says "enter at your own risk", so our guide told off some Americans who had ventured in themselves. Basically there is a big lack of customer service here. The views of the crashing waves were very good

Spectacular views and breeze, a must stop IF you love views and sea breeze. There is a part for children to play and a cliff side Cafe. There are a couple blow holes and one section outside of the flower cave part itlsef where you can walk down to the ocean front with proper gear that you don't have to pay for. (HINT: TURN RIGHT BEFORE THE ENTRANCE TO THE ANIMAL FLOWER CAVE, you'd be right behind / adjacent to, the Solar Farm.

One of the recommended must see places when in Barbados. It was indeed very pretty. The views are also very beautiful. There is a tourist shop located there so that you can purchase items as well. Overall, enjoyable place to spend some time while visiting

Definitely add this to your itinerary. Lovely views of the coast and plenty of opportunities for nice photos. The day I went the cave was closed due to choppy weather. Maybe cal ahead of time to see if the cave will be open.

Nice drive from Bridgetown not to far and the views are amazing. The cliffs were stunning as well as the pools and cave. Price was a touch high to go in the cave, but you only live once and might only be in Barbados once. Just spend it. Over all good 2-4hr day trip away from the city.

Such a beautiful experience. The restaurant was wonderful, both the quality of food and the service! And we were in awe of the views! The cave was gorgeous and refreshing, although a bit too short of a tour for our liking. The entire experience has left a great impression on us! A must-see and do in Barbados!
