Their burgers are great and there are quite a few to choose from. The prices are decent and fits the portions they give. Their sweet potato fries are crispy and well seasoned as well. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Can get fairly busy during dinner times and especially on the weekends.

Wow.. extremely tasty burger a small place but with big taste. I highly recommend a visit to Hops Burger Bar a huge selection of craft beer and burgers or create your own. A sweet selection of deserts. I had the college hill it was cooked perfectly for me and the parmasean jalapeño fries which tipped it off we tried the fries goat cheese balls and the fried green tomatoes all delicious. This place is a mulligan for some more bold flavors.

Visited during lunchtime sat at the bar. Greeted by the bartender they werent too busy as of yet. We ordered thai chili wings, pickle back burger and a french dip burger. Yall know we like our wings crispy and burgers med well. My burger was well done and the wings werent crispy. My husband didnt like the chili sauce he said it tasted as if were missing something. However i liked them just not crispy enough for me. We unfortunately dont drink beer, but if you do this would be a great place to come to for a variety. Their desserts are from a local bakery which is a great addition to support local businesses. Bartenders had tables as well as bar guests so their wasnt a lot of conversation with us. Not our first time and wont be the last. Food on foodies.

Really cool burger and beer restraunt. All the food was fresh, hot and great. The red onion rings were great, as was the mad haddock!. Tried the burge4s recently. Tried the burgers recently, and they were great. It's a bit smaller inside but still a good place to try for lunch or dinner.

I love this place. It is my favorite place for a burger. Tonight I had the onion rings with my meal and they were crunchy and perfectly cooked. Our burgers were great as usual. The staff was attentive and took a lot of care to clean tables in between guests. Great experience as usual. Picture is an 8 oz Carolina burger. Husband loved it.

Very nice and friendly place. Great customer service. Food was outstanding. You got to try the Haddock sandwich. It was great tasting. The tomato and red onion on brioche bun made it spectacular 😋.

The food here was excellent! I created my own chicken sandwich with caramelized onions, mayo, lettuce and I tried the mango-jalapeño salsa on top for the first time and it was amazing! My only concern was that our waiter got really disrespectful with my relative during our visit. Hopefully, next time we will have the full body experience.

The food was okay. I can't say that it was everything I was waiting for. The fried green tomatoes on the sandwich were pretty good. And those sweet potato fries were really good as well. Ate outside right when the sun was going down. Waitress was really nice as well. I did get a drink and that was pretty good as well. No complaints. But no lasting impressions either.

Solid place to grab a bite. The burgers are the best in town. Always comes tasty never complaints on the burgers. Their fries are very crispy and I prefers it over there onion rings and their sweet potato fries are too sweet. The wings have a good flavor but the chicken they used is a little soggy. The servers here could be better but I would still recommend this place overall. Especially if your in the mood for a burger.

Excellent service and delicious food! We got the hops classic burger with garlic rosemary fries and it was amazing! We also got an order of the thai chili wings as a starter and they did not disappoint one bit. Not to mention they have the best ranch we’ve ever had! Would definitely return in the future!

It definitely my favorite burger place. Staff is always friendly. The waiting time is sometimes long but definitely worth the wait. They always feature a special burger that's not on the menu and I always go for that, they never let me down.

Well regarded Greensboro burger joint lifts burgers to gourmet status. Great selection of curated choices - and other than beef you can opt for tuna, Turkey, grilled chicken, etc. draught beer selection is fabulous with an emphasis on great NC beer.

Many many visits to Hops Burger Bar - Always a great meal with new rotating selection of craft beers, always updated in chalk - they turn kegs fast here. But come for the burgers - build your own it chooses from creations they have crafted over the years. It has been a while, but this Hops first location was named by TripAdvisor in 2015 the “Best Burger spot in the USA”. And today, still tastes the same. Restrooms ADA accessible. Seating inside & out. Handicapped parking up front. Other parking can be a hike - uneven surface about 50 yards away.

It was a little busy on a Sunday evening but the restaurant seemed to be running like a well oiled machine with people who seem to enjoy working together. The host was doing what I'm assuming might have been his side work but was always quick to greet people as soon as they came in. Servers were helping each other prebus tables and making sure none of the guests needed for anything. The food was great as well.

I only ordered fries & got old greasy double dipped fries... I'm thinking it had to be a joke, But they did take my money & allow me to leave so...... Yuck! Luckily I didn't get far. DO BETTER HOPS!!!

Hops was recommended to me by a friend because of the great burgers. I found out, this place also has a weekly concoction of a burger they changes. I ordered the onion rings for an appetizer. These were ok. The breading was rich in flavor, however because the onion ring itself was so big, there wasn’t enough breading on it. So when you would pick one up, the breading would start to fall off. As for my main course, I went with the weekly special Santa Fe burger, and I had it with the bison burger. Cooked to absolute perfection. One bite, and I was hooked! I want to go back and try a burger on the menu!

We stopped in while traveling through. It’s about 1-2 miles from I-40 and definitely worth the trip! Service was fantastic, quick, available, and never needed to ask for refills. The food was wonderful - fresh, made to order, and high quality ingredients. Even had sweet potato fries at NO up charge! Will certainly stop in again when in the area! Excellent place!

Great burgers and super nice people working, the host was super welcoming and my waitress was very nice and attentive. I got the 12 oz cuban burger and it was well cooked and tasted very good. Would recommend.

Took my wife here for her first time to experience a Hops Burger. I had the Carolina, subbed goat cheese for the pimento cheese. She had the crab cake burger. Both were amazing. Hands down the best burgers ever!

Very rare do you find Haddock down here in NC, and when you do, it's never done right. Lucky for me, this beer battered Haddock was done really really well! The batter was not to heavy, or under cooked. The Haddock was Haddock and no COD or another white fish. The sandwich was rocking! The wings were also very good. Bold flavor, crispy and jumbo. Poutine style fries are a must! Who doesn't love gravy + cheese smother fries? The burger was huge for a 6oz. Everything here is top notch!

I ordered the College Hill Blues burger with sweet potato fries. They didn't put my order in, so it came late. There wasn't any blue cheese on the burger, which is the main reason I ordered it, so I'm quite disappointed with that. I didn't complain at that point bc I didn't want to wait anymore. The sweet potato fries were great. The dip was supposed to be honey mustard but tasted more like Dijon. Regardless, it was delicious. They do have craft beer, blackberry cider was great. Very small place and parking sucks.

Discovered this great burger restaurant while on a day trip to Greensboro. Our wait wasn’t long considering it was early afternoon in the middle of college football season. The service was great and our server took great care of us. The food was exceptional. My wife built her own burger and had the onion rings while I had the North Carolinian burger with a side of slaw. We also shared the poutine fries. Everything was fresh, hot and very tasty. The burger patty itself had a nice flavor from the flat top. If you’re looking for a great burger I recommend checking them out. I’ll definitely stop by again the next time I’m in Greensboro.

This was our first food stop upon making it to NC from MD. We dumped our stuff in the hotel and headed here. The food was absolutely delicious, the waitress was really nice and attentive, I would definitely return. The fried green tomatoes were some of the best I've ever had. The pimento cheese on top made them that much better. The burger was tender, juicy, just perfect. Waitress offered me a sweet tea to go, which I promptly accepted, love getting sweet tea when in the south.

This place is awesome. Try the crab cake bites as an appetizer. It's one of the best things to ever enter my mouth (I am biased to crab). You can even find vegan and gluten free items without being made to feel like a terrible person for ordering meat at the burger joint. It's fantastic. A great balance of class, taste, welcoming atmosphere and great service. I wish the one nearest to me had been this successful. This place is amazing.

I enjoyed my dining experience. I went on a Tuesday (today) around 2:30 pm when there wasn’t an abundance of people. The staff was friendly when entering and I sat outside due to the wonderful weather, which was enclosed. Tom was my server and he was attentive but not bothersome. The truffle parmesan fries were piping hot and the college hills blues burger was cooked to perfection (medium well). I’m not a burger connoisseur but I know a good burger when I need to satisfy the craving especially since I’ve been dieting for the abs! There are other options if meat is not your choice or need diet friendly choices. I subtracted a star due to the parking. It’s confusing and there are “strictly towing enforced” signs all over due to multiple restaurants. Overall, recommended if in Greensboro.

1 kids meal enough for 2 small kids. Fresh burgers (got 12oz). Nice side salad and tasty sweet potatoes fried. The server was occupied with other things, not very attentive. Burgers were very messy. Overall very good meal. Parking is a nightmare. Recommend for a local burger joint

We arrived around 5:40pm on a Saturday night and luckily we were seated immediately. However, it took close to 45 minutes to get our food and our burgers were over cooked and missing toppings. The food was okay, but not worth the wait.

Excellent food, very nice selection of craft beers, unique cocktails for all tastes and friendly service at a decent price. My only complaint is the bar stools are very uncomfortable. They were too tall, I am 5'11", the front edge of the seat was not rounded and dug into the back of my thighs, I was not able to reach the foot rail comfortably.

Food (burgers) was excellent! Great beer menu, and first class service. Ate here for the first time before a concert at the coliseum and it was slammed. We were seated well before the projected 1 hour wait. Our food came in the time you would expect for a moderately busy week night, and our server was top notch. Will definitely be eating/drinking here again!
