The very best spot in Greensboro to enjoy delicious authentic Indian cuisine. Their menu is full of many classic dishes, all spiced to perfection, in order to excite your taste buds. There are also many vegetarian-friendly appetizers and entrees to choose from, and even some vegan options, too. All of the entrees come with the option to pick the level of spicy- hotness, on a scale of 1 through 5. Their samosas are delicious, and the mint chutney sauce that comes with them is so great, I use every last drop of it. They serve the best vegetable korma I've ever tasted, and their lentil soup is always amazingly fresh, no matter what time of day it is. When dining in, the table is served a complimentary dish of thin, crispy lentil tortillas, along with a small bowl of spicy onion-tomato relish, which is a very tasty treat that effortlessly compliments the entire eating experience, there. And, no meal is complete without a cold and refreshing glass of mango juice. Their parking lot typically has at least a few available spaces, right in the front, very close to the door.

We love Saffron’s! The food is always delicious and well seasoned. The staff are so accommodating even for takeout. When I pick up & my order is not out yet, they’ll offer a seat and drink while I wait. How sweet is that!?! 😘🌸💜 The Curry Goat is my husband’s favorite with the Fish (salmon) Curry a close second. I love to skip around the menu. It’s always a pleasant surprise when my mouth hits the fork. I love the naans too. Yummy, yummy! My son loves the Saag with cheese. Who would have thought that spinach & cheese would pair so well. And the Basmati rice is always cooked perfectly. I also like to catch a deal on Groupon. And to make life easy for everyone, ordering through Grubhub for pickup is a win-win. Thank you Saffron’s! 😍😍

If you are ever dining here, try the Indian hot spicy biryani you will like it. Good authentic flavor spiced up curry and a nice clean place to eat.

First time customers but will definitely be back! Entrees were served family style, and each one made 2 meals for us. If we had known they were served this way we could have only ordered one. We also got appetizers which were delicious! Happy bellies and satisfied customers!

The food was absolutely wonderful!! This was my first experience here and I’ll definitely come again. Also, the young lady that was taking orders etc. was very kind. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu as well as offering me water while I was waiting for my take out order. I really appreciated that!!

First experience and didn’t go as expected. I ordered a togo. Customer service was okay. The ladies working there were nice and welcoming. I didn’t like the food however. I ordered chicken 65, chicken tikka masala with 2 naans, samosas, and mango lassi. The amount of chicken in the tikka masala and chicken 65 was shocking lol. I probably wouldn’t go again.

Great service, the food is amazing. You can taste the curry, coconut, and all the indian spices. Cook perfectly, very tasty. I recommend the chicken masala, the salmon, pilaf rice, garlic bread, and on the drink the mango smoothie. The restaurant was extremely clean and neat. The service is very attentive and friendly. For sure, I'm coming back!

Best Indian restaurant in Greensboro. The atmosphere is very relax and the music was nice. Servers were very nice and frequently. Definitely recommend anyone to go check this restaurant out and give it a try. We ordered many dishes and loved all the them. Didn’t get to take pictures of all because we were so hungry.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!! It has to be one of my favorites to go to. I am vegetarian so there’s not really a lot of selection in Greensboro for people who do not eat dairy/meat. Sharry, one of the hosts of the restaurant as well as the Owner, are always so welcoming of everyone and amazing. No matter how busy the store gets they still make sure to take time, be kind, and give undivided attention to each and every customer as though we are all a part of the family. When I had first came to this restaurant I came with my friend who is vegan and they sat us down and greeted us with water and a smile! Sharry is a superstar here I always see him working. Always smiling and kind and always ready to help and make the customers day!! Whether it’s a suggestion of something different on the menu or a kind gesture of extra bread, he ALWAYS makes my day when I come in to order. So far, I have had the Gobi Manchurian which is a cauliflower dish that’s battered in the best sauces and it’s VEGAN!! It’s also not cooked hard so it’s healthier than the other restaurants I’ve tried around with similar dishes. Vegetarians reading this please try it! Ive also had the Dahl and though it has heavy cream in it it too is AMAZING and they have a vegan option for it called dal tarka (which I had today) and it’s INCREDIBLE! As far as drinks go, I’ve had the mango lasse (it does have yogurt in it) but it was soooo good I couldn’t even stop drinking it! I’ll try the mango juice by itself next time 😁I also love coming here because I don’t feel like I’m just a number. They remember my name, face and order! This shows me that they care about the customers coming in and they pay attention to the regulars. Sharry always says “you’re getting samosas today?” Because for the longest that’s all I would order. They too are vegan and very affordable! This restaurant has also helped me to broaden my taste palette. As a picky eater, I enjoy the variety of nutritional food options they have here. I have so much more positive news to share but I will leave it here. Hands down the BEST food and service BY FAR 🤍

Very delicious. Wait staff was a bit standoffish but it could have been cultural. You can pick how spicy you want your food. Except for the appetizers those you cannot change. The Samosas were very good but a little too spicy for me (I’m delicate). I ordered the Lamb tikka masala with fenugreek. It was amazing! I did get it as mild at it gets and there was a gentle heat to it. Do beware that if you do not like cilantro this probably isn’t the place for you. I love cilantro but my husband isn’t a fan. He enjoyed his chicken biryani but said the cilantro was overpowering for him. All in all a good time. Will be back to try the buffet on the weekend.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Greensboro. We love the customer service and the food is fantastic. Our greeter treats is like family and is one of the reasons we LOVE eating there. You have to go by on Sunday and enjoy buffet along with a mimosa. We we love this place over others, the MANGO PUDDING!!!!! I don't even WANT to tell everyone for fear of not being able to get in 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you Saffron for treating us right 🙂 Jonathan and Patrice

Outstanding food with spices cooked to order. A fine selection of beers and wines, some familiar and some less common. Great for take out but very attentive service when dining in the restaurant. The atmosphere is clean and spacious with enjoyable music playing throughout. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! Definitely the best Indian in Greensboro. The food is delicious and authentic. The staff here are super attentive without being disruptive and they genuinely care about getting your order to you exactly as you ordered it. The menu has all the usual Indian options, but also some cool new dishes I’ve never seen until now. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are clearly marked and everyone there knows what ‘vegan’ actually means. (They have a full menu of Indian favorites, meat dishes included; I’m just pointing out that the restaurant makes it easy for vegetarians and vegans to order. ) Whether you’re a huge Indian food fan or just trying it for the first time, you can’t go wrong with this place. Enjoy and you’re welcome!

We were pleasantly surprised that the food was very good and that the ambience was nice. Ram was excellent in his behavior and took great care for all of us. My sister visiting from CT with my brother in law was very impressed with the food. We also met the owner and head chef and he was extremely kind to all of us. Surely going to visit again soon. If they can maintain this quality , this is going to be the top Indian restaurant.

The staff was friendly and welcoming as always. The lunch buffet was superb. There was a good assortment of both meat and vegetable dishes. The butter chicken was delicious as was the potato and eggplant dish. I tried goat for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how tender it was and how flavorful the dish was overall. Can't wait to go back!

Today I ordered the chicken soup and the portions were smaller than the portions they give you for to go. So i asked for it to be returned to the kitchen and voided off my ticket. They allowed me to keep the soup but still took it off my ticket. Then I changed my order to the chicken biryani. On the menu it doesn’t say that the dish is topped with almonds and a lot of people have nut allergies. So i told them I was allergic and they said they’d fix it in 2 minutes. When they brought the rice back out it was the same rice with the almonds picked off. And when I began to eat the rice they were starring and laughing at me it seemed. I was fine because my allergy isn’t as sever as others. But for someone else who has a serve allergy they could’ve went into anaphylactic shock.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The staff is wonderful, the food is the best ever. Better than United Kingdom, Thailand, Japan, Germany, And Punjab. I love Indian food. Trust me if they remain consistent you will be delighted. Enjoy!

$33. Plus tip lunch for one. Too pricy for chicken Tandoori appearing to be prepared ahead and cold. Rice Pudding extremely sweet. Naan and iced tea with lemon were good. Price increase to offset new remodeling should not affect quality of food preparation, 91.0 Inspection grade...

We had gone here for dinner on my birthday. Ordered a variety of foods like chixken 65,chicken chilli, fish fry, gobi manchuria, tandoori platter, biryani, mutton rogan josh etc. everything came out really fast and was super yummy. My kids enjoyed the food too. It was served hot n fast. They made me feel special too with a treat at the end with a mango kulfi which was yummiest ever!! Definitely would recommend this place to all my friends n family. 5 stars!!!!

The food is amazing! I’ve only ever been here for takeout, but the staff is always very friendly and the service is fairly quick. I got the fish and shrimp biryani for myself and the chicken biryani for my partner- she unfortunately couldn’t do the spice level but I personally thought it was very mild (maybe a 3/10). The restaurant is also very beautiful- bring your friends!!

The food here is so tasty and delicious! The waiters and the manager are very attentive and responsive and the service is so genuine! I had a favorite Indian restaurant in my home state and since moving to NC 3 years ago, I hadn’t been about to find a good Indian restaurant until now and I definitely will be back!

I came here with a friend who insisted on me trying the place. It was some sort of special day, where each person gets an entree for free! Super cool that this place does things like that. All I can say is - delicious, authentic tasting Indian food. I got the lamb Tikka Masala. The lamb was tender, so tasty. Atmosphere is nice though some of the tables are super small.. the staff is friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

You can expect fresh ingredients and smaller portion sizes. It’s not bad it just feels a bit overpriced for the food taste/quantity. It was obviously fresh ingredients but not as flavorful as other Indian foods I’ve eaten before. Very accommodating, however a bit of a language barrier when I originally visited.

I dined in for dinner. I’m in love because I love food. The service, and appearance was marvelous. I got a chicken rice dinner with a glass of champagne and it was soooo tasty!!! I’ll be returning.

We have been here several times for dine in and take out. We drive an extra 20 mins for Saffron over other Indian cuisine! Always great service and food.

Watered down below par Indian food at above average prices. The Vindaloo was thin and insipid and the chicken tikka masala lacked depth and flavor. Seriously, if you cannot make aloo paratha taste right, you are hopeless case. The mango lassi on the other hand was spot on.
