This restaurant is absolutely fantastic, a great atmosphere! From the time we were seated until the time we left, our server, John, was so attentive, timely and professional! It was our first time dining here and it certainly won’t be the last!! We were having dinner celebrating my birthday! The cocktails were perfect and the food was fresh, beautiful presentation and so delicious!! Top that off, the turtle cheesecake was great as well! My only constructive feedback is parking, there was none available, so we had to park elsewhere and walk, so thankfully it wasn’t weathering at the time!

The food is world class and the staff is great! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free (even the fried offerings). You should treat yourself if Mom's Coconut Cream Pie is available. So good!

They were an excellent venue to have a bridal shower. They were flexible for decorating, menus and libations. Beautiful day with shade umbrellas they set up. We had the whole back patio for the afternoon event.

I always enjoy going to MJ’s. This is an old house that is turned into a restaurant which is cool. Service is always great and the food, for the most part, is excellent. Tad’s poutine is always a hit here. Shrimp & Grits too. Some of the dishes can be underwhelming at times. On my last visit I got the braised short ribs, the meat was perfectly cooked but the flavor was missing something. This is one of the better restaurants in town and I recommend everyone to try it.

This was my first time here and for the menu and the money it will be my last. The menu was not what is listed on Open Table at all. Prices are expensive for what you get. My salad was plain, small and boring. I should have went with my first choice Springhill Restaurant in Winston. Service was great though John was great just disappointed in the food for the price.

We eat here often, it's quiet, and quaint, it's a house turned into a restaurant. It has a nice patio in the warmer months and the food is excellent. Lately we have loved the specials! The mussels in the cream tomato sauce and grilled octopus should be keepers for the menu, they both were wonderful! We will continue to come here often because the food, ambiance and staff are great! We love this place.

Extremely good food. Great inside and outside atmosphere. Very friendly staff that give lots of attention to make sure your happy. Shrimp and Grits delicious. This is a home turned restaurant which gives it a great story.

The service was great. Sophie was lovely. The food wasn’t so great. Bland for my taste. I had a Caribbean clam chowder that was mediocre at best. Please work on seasoning each item. I expected much more flavor than I received. The bread helped the soup. The asparagus was perfect though. Lightly buttered, perfectly salted and cooked to tender yet crisp.

I really enjoyed my first visit to MJ’s. I ordered the calamari, goat cheese salad, and beef short ribs. The other guests in my party enjoyed the calamari and really liked the aioli. The salad was amazing and the dressing was a nice finishing touch. The beef short ribs were tender and flavorful. They even had a gluten free option for the bread service. The service was also great and the servers worked well together in order to meet the needs of our table. I’d highly recommend this place and suggest reservations ahead of time.

I and my friend is looking for something different as we always ended up with same place for our dinner. We looked up on line and feel like their menu had interesting food and photos showed beautiful display. We have made the right choice. We were happy and have a great time there. I ordered calamari for appetizers. They had a thick cut which I like and fried perfectly. I had Bass over noodles as my dinner. Fish cooked just right. My friend ordered braised ribs. He also was happy with it. All food that we ordered were not over seasoned and not much salt in it. Service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Overall I will recommend this restaurant if you are in areas. We will be back soon.

Great experience inside the restaurant, food was great as well as service. My issue is with the valet. Someone clearly had some fun with my pickup in the “second lot,” leaving grass and dirt stains along the vehicle. Yes its a truck, but its mine!

The scallops, ribs, soup and salads were cooked to perfection with tasty sauces. The drinks were fantastic and not watered down. The service was timely, patient and thorough. The atmosphere is quaint, and artfully done. My wife and I loved it.

Me and my now fiancé (who even proposed there!) visit here frequently and always have a great experience! The food is fantastic, the servers (esp John) are the sweetest, and you can’t beat the outdoor seating. This has become “our spot” and I highly recommend checking it out!

Great service and delicious food in an intimate and quaint house. I Love the scallops and creme brulee cheesecake.

We split the wedge salad. The scallops with sour cream mashed potatoes was so good, I wished I had leftovers after the leftovers were gone. The steak with truffle fries was delicious too. The chocolate torte was perfect finish. Ashley our waitress was wonderful. We can't wait to return.

They had a great Mother's Day brunch/lunch menu. The short rib was excellent, with a real "just like mom used to make it" taste. The coconut pineapple cake was fantastic. We were seated in the sunroom and had a great view of the back patio. Space is limited.

Why have I never provided a review for this FABULOUS restaurant? Ugh! Hands down one of my top five favorites in Greensboro. Am here at least twice per month and just had the most wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. I HIGHLY recommend visiting this quaint restaurant and their friendly team members. Fabulous food, very interesting wine list and martinis which make me very happy.

Food was good, but not exceptional. The bread was delicious! Calamari and goat cheese salad was very good. None of our meals were hot. The scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Ribeye was overcooked and the grits were lumpy balls.....portions were surprisingly big for a fancier place. Desserts were good. Atmosphere was okay. Waitress was nice, but very flat. Overall, For the price I was expecting it to be better.

We loved MJ's! Cozy atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. The food was spectacular! So many great menu items it was hard to decide. I have a gluten allergy and almost everything on the menu can be made GF.

In short, my new favorite restaurant in Greensboro. Maybe the best lamb chops I've had... Service was incredible, prices reasonable. Highly recommended!!

We enjoyed a birthday dinner for 12. It was absolutely wonderful! The food was perfect-- much steak and seafood. The service was impeccable. We can't thank Tad enough for an unforgettable evening.

Went to MJ's for the first time to celebrate a birthday. Food was great. Short menu but everyone was able to find something. Staff was attentative and good at what they do. Will be going back again soon!
