This park provides access to a variety of trails, some paved, with many remote areas for hiking. There are facilities for fishing the lake and lots of walkers and lots of bikes, but it is easy to find a quiet space for contemplation. The colors in the Fall are remarkable , Spring is truly wonderful, and the Summer days up under the pines in the center of the Owl's Roost trail are tranquil and serene. This park has connecting trails to many other popular hikes as well as those contained within the park. Busy weekends, quiet during the week.

This is such a nice place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, whether you are walking or jogging, hiking or biking, there is so much here to explore. The facilities and trails are well-maintained. The scenery is beautiful, and the wildlife is abundant. I recommend Bur-Mill Park to everyone. I will definitely be going there again!

Nice park and great tables to set and enjoy weather. You can find good trails to walk through and nice area to do fishing (though there are no fish's), yes go please!

I spent under two hours at this park, but it definitely made an impression! We parked by the lake and walked over the bridge. The romantic touch of putting locks on the gate (and presumably throwing the key in the lake), while un-environmental, adds character and mystique to the experience. I wanted a park with plenty of shade, and I wasn’t disappointed. When we walked through the woods on the dirt path, there weren’t many bugs (but there were two deer). The stated closing time was 8 p.m., but we stayed until 8:20. I spoke with someone who said that the park gates are closed at 8:30. I’m docking this a star because I feel that it’s reasonable to expect the park to stay open until 9 or 9:30 (especially on weekends). Hopefully someday the city can find someone who would be willing to stay an hour later (as well as a few extra dollars to pay them).

Great place to go visit and hangout with the family. I went there for a friends daughter birthday, they shelters were nice and clean. I would recommended it, plus it’s right next to the lake if you want to take a look. There are also trails you can use to take a walk or use your bike. Overall I really recommend it.

Beautiful park. Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was such a nice time. The trail they have is perfect for running, biking, or walking (me😁). Very relaxing area. Have plenty of places to sit down and read too

Took a very nice walk through the woods. Easy no hills and we'll shaded... Minimal bugs and a few deer along the path.

Super beautiful park! Great for going on walks by the water and nice trails if you have dogs and want to take them for a mini hike. Most will say it’s dog friendly (and for the most part it usually is) however, there is a man who works there and drives on the golf carts to pick up trash from trash cans, and he’s intentionally tried to hit my dog several times. Make sure you keep your pets close and on a leash, otherwise they’ll get ran over because that man has no mercy.

I was impressed by how large & clean it was. There was plenty of space for us to gather with a large group of friends and feel as if we were some of the only people there. There is something to do for everyone.. they have a lovely nature center, a playground, a driving range, bike rentals, a bike & walking path around the lake and a short trail through the woods. I will definitely return to this park when I am Greensboro.

Highly recommend this park for your next family gathering or birthday party. The shelter rental process is super quick, easy, & best of all AFFORDABLE! In addition, their fishing spots are great! I was recently told by their office employee that they no longer charge a fee to fish so bring your whole family for a catch & release fun filled day😊.

Went there on an invite from a business associate for a BBQ. It's a nice park, I am sure there's more to it than what I saw. Because I do wildlife removal and prevention, I visited the wildlife information center. They have a lot of good info on animals that live in and around our communities. They also have a golf driving range. I spoke to the curator in the wildlife center for a bit, nice gentleman. Afterward, I spoke with him. Two ladies came in and asked questions about trails for hiking. I listened as he explained the trails and how extensive the trail systems are. I would go back, just not sure when.

I came here for a fall festival. I have been here before to go to the playground. This place is amazing. There is so much space. There are trails. There's fishing. The clubhouse is top notch and I only saw the screened on porch with its row of rocking chairs. It's way out off of Battleground, but worth the trip.

Nice place to take a walk down the greenway. Keep in mind if you are taking littles you are going to need to keep an eye on them though as there are some bikers that kind of fly down the trail and they don't realize little kids are easily distracted and will cut across a trail without looking both ways. Bur-Mil Park though is nice as it has a swimming pool, golf course, lots of pavilions for family gatherings, pickleball, tennis, and more.

I've just started looking for nice trails and parks to walk...Greensboro has some sweet hidden gem parks; and Bur-Mil Park, along the Atlantic Yadkin Greenway is one of them! I came for a nice place to chill, and was impressed by the numerous features of this area. Large, open field, benches, a little fishing pond, covered picnic shelters, BBQ grills, volleyball net, horseshoe pit, biking/hiking trails, fishing pier, and other things I'm sure I'm leaving out! Really appreciated the clean, easy walking trails, the seclusive natural views, and conveniences (trash cans; bike locks, etc.) along the trails. This was quite a peaceful place to be...definitely worth a visit...and a revisit!

This place has something for everyone. The trail was nice; however, we had a little trouble finding our way back from the trail end, but that was okay for me for I enjoy all types of adventures.

I love it here! I go every week for a walk or a run. I love the sceneries the park has to offer and has a very nice lake to fish in and other side lakes/ponds. There are plenty of shelters and places for children to run around and play. My children love the trails to ride their scooters and bikes as well.

Bur-Mil Park is great for all sorts of outdoor activities! So many walking trails, bike trails, natural areas, and more! We decided to use this location for fall family photos for some clients of mine. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and run around. The location was perfect for the family photos they wanted! I will definitely be back!
