I wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy, much less a friend. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. Room was filthy, smoke detector dangling from a hole in the ceiling. Although they claim to be an "extended stay" place, there is NO kitchen equipment in the "kitchenette" - no cups, no glasses, no silverware, no nothing. Not even a coffeemaker. The bedside lamps are either ON or OFF all day and night - to turn them on or off you have to reach the plug behind the bed. No ice machine on site. Ladies at front desk were very unconcerned about our questions. I had booked a room with one queen bed, non-smoking. We were given a room with 2 queens and although described as "non-smoking" it had definitely had smokers in recently. 2 young men hauled in 4-5 cases of beer into the room next to us. Anyway, we decided to relocate - front desk people said that since I had booked with Agoda, that they couldn't help me with the refund, so I will be reaching out to Agoda. We didn't even stay long enough to take pictures to document the situation.

I have NEVER been to a hotel where they had roach traps EVERYWHERE.. The minute I walked in the room, 3 roaches ran across the wall. I was totally disgusted. I gave it one more chance and they gave me another room. When I cut the lights on in the new room, I instantly spotted 2 more roaches running across the wall to the sink. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. The lady at the front desk was nice about it and refunded me my money. I deserve some type of compensation being that I had drove so far to get a room so late and had to deal with a roach infested hotel🤮🤮..

Horrible hotel. First off they don’t tell you there is a $100 deposit!! There are people outside drinking and smoking weed right by office. I was there 5 mins parked while husband checked in and a man asked to bum a cigarette. The walk way and stairs are nasty with stains and people standing around smoking and or drinking. The room. Was disgusting! Holes in walls, the carpet was nasty, the tub was black! The bathroom had burn marks on the counter. The fridge was dirty, microwave had not been properly cleaned, under the microwave was crumbs and dirt. There was gnats flying around the kitchen. The fire sprinklers were hanging from the ceiling. The bed was broke on one side, the air was on but did not cool off the room. The older lady was rude AF and was very unconcerned about my complaints with the room. Instead of informing me they didn’t have other rooms she cancelled our reservations and asked for the keys without even asking if we could deal with it for the night or offer any other options. Think place is a joke because they are nothing like the pictures they have online. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND TIME! BECAUSE THIS AIN’T IT!!

Filthy and disgusting place. Strong odor in rooms , bathroom sink was clogged all the time I was there , I reported it but no one came to fix it so I had to brush my teeth in the kitchen sink. The concrete hallways are filthy, stained and full of gum , cigarette butt and trash. The wood trim around the kitchen counter was rotted , and it was not only my room , my co-worker's room was worst. And the worst part is getting here back from work , turn on the lights and see roaches all over .this place needs attention ASAP from the health department . This place deserve to be demolished down to the ground.

The following is what I emailed corporate, I am still waiting for a response: This is the WORST experience in a hotel I have ever experienced. I would like to discuss a refund for my stay. The moment I walked into the room I should have walked out and checked in another hotel. The check in desk was perfect, the woman who checked me in was polite and professional. But the state of the room was terrible. I walked in and immediately the room smelled of mildew, I turned on the AC, and that did not help. The smell has lingered throughout my entire stay. I took off my socks and shoes only to find the carpet sticky and laid towels down in a pathway from the bed, to the seating area, to the kitchen and bathroom. The dresser had two drawers broken, one of them the handle was barely attached and the other had the front of the drawer not attached to the sides. Later the towel rack in the bathroom fell off the wall when I was removing the towel and I caught it in time before it hit the floor. I should have left but I was in town for a graduation and other hotels were either unavailable or out of my price range. However, this was an embarrassing establishment. I have photos saved as proof of my stay and the quality of the room itself Please contact me in regards to a refund.

The room I stayed in had a strange smell. I would have asked for another room but I was told the hotel was fully booked. The smell got so bad I had to buy Febreeze to manage the smell. The fridge in the room also had a weird smell. There were also bugs in the room. I killed a roach the first night I was there. The next day, I saw a moth and a centipede in the room. I would have checked out right then, but the already charged my card and I would have forfeit the remaining days booked. This was the first and only time I will stay at this or any Extended Stay hotel. Very disappointing!

This place is terrible, and rooms are not already clean you have to clean them yourself. For the floors, counter tops and bathrooms. I brought bleach, and liquid pinesaw, gloves and sponges 'spent extra money at the store'. There's also really loud people staying here for weeks at a time, causes this place to be ghetto they start to pick fights with other people staying as well. Not good, and I've witnessed the staff being rude and joining in on rude and mean behavior of people renting a Extended Stay America room here also. So it's a lot going on here. Not a good stay and I do not recommend this place especially for how much they are charging not worth the money for the staff, location and room quality. The service: it is not excellent, or good. Staff are not nice. Seems to me like staff were not awake or had to be high off some thing need to be looked into for weird, rude or mean behavior. Location needs work, not in a safe location. Being secluded and off in the back behind trees should be taken away and the building should be shut down or re owned by a different company and the police should stay somewhere near by the hotel to watch for criminal activity. Overall the hotel is a Zero to me. My room was paid for 2 weeks time which was about alittle over a thousand dollars and my stay has been bad everyday since I've arrived here 5 days ago. I've had to switch rooms and go through a process of trying to switching everyday for 3 days until I was able to. Loud noises and rude people staying here and rude staff working here. Also stay away from rooms 142, 242 and the second floor in the back.

So I have to say I was disappointed and disgusted by this hotel. They say checkin after 3 I got there at 3:30 and the room wasn’t ready I had to wait for another 15 mins. Many sketchy people outside. The walkways were dirty and littered with garbage. I was on the second floor. The room key barely worked. Took 3 times of putting it in before door would open. When I got inside my flesh curled. The rug was filthy with stains and something that glowed in the dark. I was afraid to take my shoes off let along walk in bare feet. The bed was clean and fine but the walls were missing things ? Like bolts and screws sticking out where something once hung. The tub was peeling where you stand and had mold under all the cracks. The door didn’t feel like it was safely locked could see light through cracks in door. Signage reads don’t leave valuables in car. Sketchy area. Very loud go carts next to it running until midnight then right on top a freeway with traffic noise. Didn’t sleep a wink. Then to top it off, a $100fee hold on card in case you break the room up! Wasn’t worth the money they asked for it. Will never go back. Nothing like the photos. Thank goodness I only stayed one night.

This place is garbage! The location is sketchy and the facility is dirty. It is way overpriced for what it actually is now. I stayed here in a room that was severely outdated, things were falling down and coming apart in the room, the walk ways were dirty and had black stains everywhere. The whole time I was stuck staying here there were people out playing loud music with their cars from 5 pm until 9 and sometimes 10 pm non stop. It smelled like weed almost every time you walked outside. You still have to pay to do your laundry which I get but it's 3 to wash and 3 to dry when they only had 3 washers working while I was there and certain people that stayed there would block and use all 3 machines to wash a family or 2's laundry all at once so you almost couldn't wash your clothes. There is hardly any staff. They don't have someone at the lobby desk 24/7 anymore. They leave and close at 9 and open back up at 9 am so if you have a problem you better hope you work close in order to come back and bring it up. These extended stays are supposed to provide cookware and dishes in order to properly use the kitchenettes they have. Well, this place does not do that anymore. They no longer provide it and yet still charge you an arm and a leg to stay there!! And then brag/laugh when they see how much money they sucked out of you. Bunch of crooks at this building. Way too over priced for the beyond lower than sub par service provided at this place. Will never go this place ever again and will tell everybody I know to stay away. This building is disgusting and honestly needs to be shut down.

Disappointing. I have stayed at Extended Stay in other cities/states and this was the most disappointing. Instead of a cozy studio apartment, it is your typical hotel room with cabinets against a back wall and two hot plates with a sink. I had to request twice for them to bring cooking and eating supplies. Not once the whole week was cleaning services offered or fresh towels brought. The staff were however great and pretty responsive.

The room was ok. Accessible but ok. Saw one roach. There is an undisclosed 100 deposit to be held on your card. Undisclosed as in, you are not forewarned on any booking sites as you should be. For that, it's not worth it. Will not return.

Disappointing Stay at Extended Stay America on Big Tree Way I recently had the displeasure of staying at the Extended Stay America on Big Tree Way, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The room I was assigned was disappointingly dirty, with floors that appeared to have been neglected in terms of proper cleaning. The overall cleanliness of the accommodation was subpar. Adding to the discomfort, there was a notable lack of heat in the room. This made my stay particularly challenging, especially during colder periods. The absence of a basic amenity like adequate heating only compounded the issues I encountered during my visit. To make matters worse, I also faced the distressing problem of roaches in the room. This not only highlighted a lapse in pest control measures but further contributed to the overall unpleasantness of my stay. In summary, my experience at Extended Stay America on Big Tree Way was marred by cleanliness issues, a lack of heating, and the presence of roaches. It fell significantly short of the basic standards one would expect from an accommodation facility. I sincerely hope that the management promptly addresses these concerns to enhance the quality of the stay for future guests.

This was by far the worst hotel my family & I have ever stayed in. The door didn’t close completely, the heat didn’t work we were cold the entire night. The floors stained & bathroom filthy bugs & spider webs. I filed a complaint with Customer Service & one of the managers or whoever called and told me that another guest was in the same room with NO Complaints. Worst Customer Service ever & it’s been a week & no response so I will be reaching out to Corporate. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. Just look at the pictures & this is just some. The website pictures are all LIES

This was my first stay in Greensboro NC. The GM William and front desk Lady Alexis were AWESOME!!! Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional! I was super nervous about staying alone in a city that I didn't know but they both calmed my nerves and made sure that I was safe. The room was not at all what I expected ( I expected it not to be this clean). Very clean room, bathroom very clean, all appliances were clean and in working order. I was very impressed. I will stay here each time I visit this city. GM William & Alexis went above and beyond, I greatly appreciate them! 💛

I have had an excellent stay, and have enjoyed the staff Mr. Jones, Ms Alexis and Mr. Marcus. You all have made me feel at home, safe, appreciated and they meet you where you are in life and make it more pleasant. I appreciate them greatly and thank them for allowing me to stay in their home. I would recommend to others. Thank you Extended Stay Big Tree Way Keep thriving.

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Room wasn’t cleaned before my arrival. The trash can they left for me was so filthy, I sat it outside my door. The room has a moth infestation. I found myself killing a moth or two every night. The key card reader for my door sucks. Literally every night I had to get a new key card for my room. The heater in my room doesn’t work. It’s warmer at night without it on. Also, my shower doesn’t get hot. The room phone doesn’t work either, but who really uses that….

If you enjoy to lie over stained sheets, suronded by fine carpets with artcrafted blood spots, while been asked by what can only be described as throubled young fellow, whats your business watching his girlfriend ( who was erraticaly wandering all around ) well this is a place you will certainly like, In my case I asked for another room that was also stained and adding the short talk of the nice gentleman about his girlfriend....decide to go else where, but well if you are able to stay a night and survive congratss

I stayed here with my three year old daughter a few months ago and another guest exposed his privates to us. On another night, a drunk stumbling man tried to come in our room. The hotel did ask the men to leave but the guests felt comfortable to do this because of rumors the staff spread about me and my daughter. Staying at this hotel almost landed me in jail for no reason as well. I had a very traumatic experience.

I went to visit a friend that booked a room by looking at pictures. He truly got catfish when he got there and checked in. There were 40 oz bottles by the stairs. I was truly disappointed and told friend this place use to look like that a long time ago.

  • 3/5 Olga g. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms should really not be carpeted. The stairs could use power washed. The room itself where clean all but the carpet. It is a quiet place to stay.

The room was not clean at all and there were bugs in the bathroom. We also had to contend with other guests throwing beer bottles outside our room. We didn't feel very safe here.

I hate to be that person but this is an absolute no! When we pulled up there were multiple ppl standing around waiting to be picked up for work at the entrance. Parked the car, get into the office where I waited 15-20 mins to be attended to. I called the front desk after yelling for some assistance four times. A staff member finally walked in, asked me if I needed anything. They walked behind the desk where the other employees apparently was seated the entire time. The staff was very nice when I finally got some help. When I got into this flea ridden, fecal stain coated, heavily entrenched in cigarette smoke, blood on the floor, food in the pantry, not vacuumed room!!! I couldn’t make it work. I was five minutes into standing there and was eaten alive by the bugs. This was nothing I expected by far. The only difference between that and a trap house was the wonderful customer service.

Overall our stay here was decent. The room did have some issues. The fridge leaked, there were some ants in the kitchen area, and there seemed to be some kind of dust in the air. But the room was otherwise in pretty good shape and the grounds and walkways were pretty clean. The sound of go carts next door aside, this place is fairly peaceful. Clean towels were available each time we requested them. We were given a pot and spatula to borrow when we needed it. Be prepared to take your dirty clothes to a laundromat, however, as the dryers in the on-site laundry room are not at all effective.

Do not spend your money here, this place is an absolute waste of your time. The room smelt like a mixture of an old couch, liquor and cigars. The drain was clogged in the first room so staff gave us an "upgrade". The "upgrade" was more so of a downgrade because the a/c wasn't working (kept shutting off after 2 mins), and there were stains on the bed and the couch...gross. I so happened to come in late after 11pm when the lobby was closed. The room key did not work for the side doors, even after multiple attempts. I almost had to sleep in my car that night..thinking about it now, I would have been better off anyway.

This place was extremely dirty, the people were smoking outside and apparently inside too because the bed smelled like cigarettes. People were parked in two parking spots. There was rude customer service from the front desk clerk. There were barely any towels in the room. The housekeeping didn't put new sheets on the bed when we first came into the room and the laundry room was disgusting. There is barely any closet or storage space and there is no oven just a stove top. The microwave was extremely small and dirty and the bath tub had mold and dirty baked on it. The worst ice ever seen anywhere.
