We met friends here Friday for cinco de mayo. The band Randamonium was playing that night as well. Huge, energetic crowd with only a $5 cover charge. Smiley's is a fun place to wind down and enjoy awesome music and the food was great. We had a delicious cheeseburger burger, fresh guacamole and chips. We were able to park on the street a few steps away from the front door, but there is plenty of other parking in the area.

Super fun venue with delicious elevated bar food and yummy adult beverages! Excellent wait staff too! Wednesday night live band karaoke really draws a huge crowd and is a lot of fun both on stage and off! No real dance room, so you just get in where you fit in. Relatively clean overall for a dive bar… not too sticky. Definitely one of the most affordable places in downtown to have a few drinks, see some good entertainment, and grab a bite to eat! Parking is a breeze too with free street parking and a small private lot beside the building as well as a public lot across the street, though that one usually costs money. Oh, and the crowd is pretty diverse which is nice! All ages (21+) races, and creeds represented on any given night. Safe place too!

Smiley's is a nice cool spot in downtown Greenville across from the baseball field. Lots of drinks, good options, local bands and everyone is always welcome. There's a good bar selection and the brussel sprouts on the food menu are a must have. You should try the Not Colada. It was so yummy! We enjoyed a local band tonight by the name of Broken Rekordd. If you haven't checked these guys out, you should! Follow them! They're amazing and brought the party!!

Live music is great! Bar service is attentive. On the busiest night, you won't wait too long for a drink. Beers are served at downtown pricing. Could use more selection, particularly local brews. The two missing stars are for the lack of space (or abundance of people). You can't move in here. Also, a lot of parties order food and drinks. Servers need to push through every couple minutes or so. Standing, you are always on alert for a tray of food or be beverage, while trying to enjoy the band. 5 star love this place but it feels like I'm in the way, when I want to be close to the music. (Edit: Thanks for the response (added a star). Of course I'll be back. Love this place!

One of Greenville’s oldest hidden treasures. Great food, from the hoagie to the wings. Live music and comedy. Check their schedule. You won’t be disappointed.

Me and my husband came to Greenville for our one year and saw that Smiley’s was highly recommended. So we took that opportunity and we had an amazing time! Mike and Nick were amazing and friendly to us. The music was great as well and the teriyaki bites was to go for! We will definitely be coming back!

We had the privilege to come on Wednesday during Kareoke night with the live band. The band was AMAZING! Great atmosphere, low-key, no stress environment. We will definitely be coming again. We ordered the margarita Flatbread which was mediocre, but the French fries were really delicious.

Great band the Saturday we were there. Opening singer was good to hear. Even though they were "packed" the waitress did a great job! Definitely would return.

What fantastic place!! First visit was last night and what a fabulous night we had! That band Rhythmdust was outstanding, and the energy in there was incredible!! We are looking forward to coming back again very soon!! Our waitress didn't miss a beat either 😊 food was great.

It was my first time here on a friend's suggestion and didn't regret! Such a great atmosphere, friendly people, awesome karaoke! A nice blonde lady doing sound engineering has contagious energy :)

So fun! Very close community locale...for those that hang out there and listen to great bands. Small, quaint bar with an are to dance. Bartenders were attentive. I've eaten here before...delicious. Tonight was a Greenville get out night! Highly recommend. ☆☆☆☆☆

It's not easy finding something "to do" in Greenville on a lazy Sunday night but this filled the bill. We were specifically looking for live music and enjoyed our time here. A couple of locals thought the place was closed but it has merely relocated. Based on old reviews it's better than it used to be. Nicely done. The service was very good. Thank you!

Good drinks and a nice food selection. Live music, band Origami had a good range of cover songs. Bartenders were friendly/funny and made everyone feel welcome, truly followed the name ☺️

Great place with a great atmosphere. The staff was exceptional. We were there for the open mike event. The host of the event was spot on. He "bent" the rules a little to let Magnolia Avenue, a band of 15 year olds, get a 4th song into the set. They were so stoked to be able to play out / perform publicly for their first time. Great family friendly night out...even if it was a school night. ☺️

Smileys is pretty awesome. Although it's pretty small, the Fire Martial apparently takes bribes because they pack people in there like sardines. The owner, Mike, is cool as a fan. Great shows n the open mic night is stellar.

I was over from the UK on holiday in USA I went here on a recommendation Even though the food and staff were brilliant I had a open tab but had to give card to hold the tab I said I wanted to pay by cash was told that was fine So when I got my bill to pay and paid with cash and left tip I gone on line to check my statement and have had money taken out of account I have emailed them but no response so I be reluctant to have a open tab just pay everytime you order something

This Band does not know how to Play Country music! The Band was so Loud you could hardly hear the singer. They Play Rock and soul Music okay but if want to Sing Country music The best advice I could give you is to sing it ocapello.I take my music serious, they couldn't play my music it was off key,My Fiance and I ask them if they could play the Song before hand and the keyboard player said yes,it was so Loud I ask my Fiance to ask him to play a line just a few chords so I'd know for sure but he didn't ask him because he thought he would surely tell us if they couldn't play it, I would have been nice and ask what they could play. Don't embarrass serious Professional Singers. Due to your ignorance..

Good food. Good service. Karaoke was fun. But it gets so crowded you can't get to the bar for a drink. Overall we had a great time.

Weird experience where we ordered a glass of wine and the bartender told us if you're going to be here for a while you may as well order a bottle because the cost of 3 glasses is more than a bottle. Yet when we got the bill the bottle was $30 and the bartender (not the one who originally told us this) said a glass is $6. We then had to go through an odd 'negotiation' with the bartender who we explained what we were told originally, first took off $5 then asked was that good and when we said it's still more than what we were told took off another $5 and said just to tip him. We accepted the $20 cost but it was still odd and a little frustrating.

Great atmosphere for a chill evening. Food and entertainment were good, server was attentive and helpful, owner was friendly and accommodating.

We love Smiley's. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and feels like friends. The owners are super great humans and are great with children/young adults. They host a songwriting/music lesson group for Vets (when covid isnt an issue) and it's been very healing for my family. Cold beer. Definitely lots of smiles. A variety of music is offered and changes nightly. Open mic, teen night, etc are some of the nightly offerings. Patio. Food. Mahi tacos to die for. Check out Mojo on Max when he's playing. Great family group and night out!!

Absolutely a great place to see some great music and have some drinks. My girlfriend and I loved the atmosphere, the staff and the band we got the opportunity to see. This was our first time but will most definitely be returning next weekend getaway. Randimonium rocks🤘🤘

We went for teen open mike night to listen to my friend's daughter sing, and we had hamburgers, which were absolutely delicious. The live entertainment was great, especially considering how young the kids are, and the food was awesome. Best burger I've had in a while and the fries were amazing, too, delicious and hot.

Great place centrally located on W. Main St, close to a lot of other energetic entertainment and dinning venues. This is a great place for live music and though we didn't dine here, we would definitely consider it in the future. Prices are fair and their pub-style food looked good. Service is fast and friendly. It was our first visit. We arrived for music on Friday evening at about 8:15. It was busy, but we easily found a table and enjoyed a nice selection of brews for 4 hours. The first act, a solo musician playing electric-acoustic guitar, was LC Branch. A big man with a big sound; excellent unique guitar playing style and a soulful big voice. The crowds moved in at about 9PM, packing the place, seeming to arrive for the same reason we came to Smiley's on this evening: the local band, JET, featuring Joe Jones, who energetically performed popular rock songs. The tiny place in front of the stage and all space between the tables became a dance floor. FUN.
