RE:
The
Sunrise
Motel,
Greenwich,
NY
12834
This
is
a
great
place
to
stay
if
your
only
alternative
is
sleeping
outside
in
a
snowstorm.
If
you
like
mothballs,
you'll
be
in
heaven
the
moment
you
walk
into
the
check-in
office.
It
reeks
of
mothballs,
why,
I'm
not
sure.
The
rooms
are
small
and
quaint,
cozy
even.
Don't
mind
the
musty
smell
though,
just
turn
on
the
air
conditioner
and
go
for
a
couple
hour
walk.
That
should
be
plenty
of
time
to
tone
down
the
musties.
And
the
spiders
and
cobwebs?
Well,
they
have
to
live
somewhere
too,
no?
On
a
positive
note,
we
didn’t
find
any
evidence
of
bedbugs.
You
know,
I
probably
could
use
some
ice
to
go
with
my
Pepsi
nightcap.
I’ll
just
mosey
over
to
the
office
and
see
if
they
have
an
ice
machine.
Nope!
No
ice
machine,
but
there
is
a
soda
machine
if
you’d
like
a
soda.
Well,
back
to
the
room
to
turn
in.
Ah,
now
for
a
nice
shower
before
turning
in
for
a
good
night's
sleep.
Wait,
better
check
and
lock
the
door,
just
to
be
safe.
What???
The
deadbolt
lock
won't
lock?
That's
scary!
Oh
well,
at
least
the
bathroom
looks
brand
new
and
redone
and
handicapped
accessible
to
boot.
Why,
there's
even
a
ramp
at
the
door
for
wheelchair
access
though
I'm
not
sure
how
you'd
get
your
wheelchair
from
the
door
to
the
bathroom
with
a
settee
on
one
side
and
two
footboards
on
the
other
and
a
tall
dresser
straight
ahead
leaving
just
enough
room
to
walk
through.
Well,
not
my
problem
tonight
and
I
do
need
a
shower.
The
shower's
not
that
bad
if
you
can
hack
the
sulfur
smell.
Oh,
and
don't
overdo
the
lather
cause
the
water
pressure
is
approx.
10-15
psi
so
it
will
take
a
while
to
rinse
off
Finally,
I’m
done
showering
and
I
have
to
be
up
early
so
I’ll
just
set
the
alarm….
the
alarm?
Where
the
heck
is
the
alarm?
Guess
what?
This
is
the
first
motel,
hotel,
B&B,
etc
that
I’ve
ever
stayed
in
that
DIDN’T
have
an
alarm
clock!
Thank
goodness
for
my
smartphone.
Come
to
think
of
it,
there’s
no
coffee
maker
either.
Well,
they
did
say
there
was
a
coffee
shop
just
down
the
road
a
little
ways
so
I
guess
that
will
just
have
to
do.
All
in
all,
this
is
probably
a
pretty
good
deal
in
these
parts
for
only
$105.00
per
night.
