😠 The lady at the front desk was polite but unfortunately this place is not pet friendly. Also they don't seem to care if they are service animals, I offered to show paper work and even let them know that refusing service animals was ILLEGAL but I guess veterans with service animals are not welcomed. People often mention stay, room, owners,

This is the only place I will stay in Saratoga Springs . The owner treats you like family and it’s the best place I have stayed out of all my travels!!! We will keep coming back and send all our family and friends there too!!! Staying here is wonderful and you don’t want to leave…😊

Rooms look as if there recently updated, the shower was hot with great pressure, the shower head didn't have a mineral build up, had zero issues with wifi, was quiet at night, and Christine full of energy and making sure you're happy with your stay

I was very happy about the quality of this place, and would easily recommend it to others and would definitely stay there in the future. I needed a last minute hotel in this area, and when I read the negative review, wondered if I should stay away. But a local inn keeper recommended them, and I needed a place so I booked a room here. The room was clean, fresh, spacious, had lovely personal touches, and they went out of their way to help me since I was arriving super late. I'm really pleased with this place, and feel badly that the other review will hurt their business :)

RE: The Sunrise Motel, Greenwich, NY 12834 This is a great place to stay if your only alternative is sleeping outside in a snowstorm. If you like mothballs, you'll be in heaven the moment you walk into the check-in office. It reeks of mothballs, why, I'm not sure. The rooms are small and quaint, cozy even. Don't mind the musty smell though, just turn on the air conditioner and go for a couple hour walk. That should be plenty of time to tone down the musties. And the spiders and cobwebs? Well, they have to live somewhere too, no? On a positive note, we didn’t find any evidence of bedbugs. You know, I probably could use some ice to go with my Pepsi nightcap. I’ll just mosey over to the office and see if they have an ice machine. Nope! No ice machine, but there is a soda machine if you’d like a soda. Well, back to the room to turn in. Ah, now for a nice shower before turning in for a good night's sleep. Wait, better check and lock the door, just to be safe. What??? The deadbolt lock won't lock? That's scary! Oh well, at least the bathroom looks brand new and redone and handicapped accessible to boot. Why, there's even a ramp at the door for wheelchair access though I'm not sure how you'd get your wheelchair from the door to the bathroom with a settee on one side and two footboards on the other and a tall dresser straight ahead leaving just enough room to walk through. Well, not my problem tonight and I do need a shower. The shower's not that bad if you can hack the sulfur smell. Oh, and don't overdo the lather cause the water pressure is approx. 10-15 psi so it will take a while to rinse off Finally, I’m done showering and I have to be up early so I’ll just set the alarm…. the alarm? Where the heck is the alarm? Guess what? This is the first motel, hotel, B&B, etc that I’ve ever stayed in that DIDN’T have an alarm clock! Thank goodness for my smartphone. Come to think of it, there’s no coffee maker either. Well, they did say there was a coffee shop just down the road a little ways so I guess that will just have to do. All in all, this is probably a pretty good deal in these parts for only $105.00 per night.

Rooms are very nice. Clean and comfortable. Management couldn't be nicer. A little pricey for a small town, but there aren't many other options. We didn't stay there our friends from out of town did.

You cannot beat this motel if you’re staying a night (or several!) in Greenwich. Forget the fancy hotels half an hour away, all you need is a little bit of Sunshine! The room we stayed in been recently updated and was so cute with a magnificent and spotless bathroom. Full control over the radiator and windows that opened meant we were never too hot or cold. The bed was insanely comfortable, and the customer service was incredible! They let us check in early and even let us text them when we were on our way so they could prepare the room. This is all without mentioning my favorite bit which is the personal keurig, I love coffee first thing in the morning and tea at night so having that within arms reach meant the world! Last but not least it was insanely quiet. And while that wasn’t a selling point for me as a city slicker with tinnitus, I know it’s important to many others! All in all a wonderful stay, definitely will stay here if we visit Greenwich again. So happy we decided to support local. ♥️

Christine was amazing. Just wish I could have got rid of this one fly that annoyed me all nite. But that's not their fault... we had a good stay.

I called to make a reservation based on her past reviews and was told that a 9 PM check in time was too late, even though the office was still open at 9 Pm. She wanted us to arrive earlier. I told her we would be driving 5 hours and couldn't get there any earlier. Then I was told that the "usual" $65 room would be $95 because of how close she was to the race track and it was racing season. The "big " race was the week before so that was bogus. And there was only one other vehicle there so the rooms weren't full. Then when we opened the door to the room it was like stepping into a room from the 70"s. Old furniture, tv bolted to the stand, and moldy smelling blanket in the dresser. The towels in the bathroom had been bleached so many times that they were frayed and pithy. I dried off after my shower with my bathrobe.!!!!!When we left, I left behind a sweater on the bed. We went back and was told she saw nothing when she cleaned the room. I had her look two times in her laundry before she finally found it, being bleached with the sheets. Would give her a zero if I could.

I am a huge fan of mom&pop motels and we love finding new places to stay in the Adirondacks whenever we can! How lucky we were to stumble on The Sunshine Inn, just a short 25 minute drive from Saratoga Springs, NY! Check-in was smooth, communication with the owners was easy and quick throughout our stay and Christine was a delight to talk to upon check-out. We had keyless entry, which worked like a charm, and the room had everything we could possibly need. From a 2-seater table with complimentary coffee and water, to the in-room refrigerator with separate freezer compartment! We also had a microwave, wall mounted TV viewable from the bed and the bathroom was a great size. Our linens looked brand new and from pillows to comforter and sheets, everything was really comfortable. The owners have also compiled a binder with restaurant and entertainment options nearby, which was super helpful for us having never been to Greenwich before. Christine let us know that she's in the process of updating the rooms, and that they have an efficiency available (with kitchenette!) and we can't wait to get back!

I am a Domestic Violence Guider. I want to thank this establishment and its owners for their wonderful delightful and intuitive understanding to my clients situation. This was a peaceful place for her to regroup. Wish you all the best of luck with your business. My client comments were... "The wife who is the owner just got it and was/is a kind and loving woman who is like a mother who had a child that had just fallen off of a bike."
