We enjoyed the Surf & Turf wrap, the Dirty Bird po'boy with a cup of the crawfish and corn bisque. Everything was good and the service was excellent. Well worth the trip to Old Gretna.

The location is amazing. Atmosphere is great. Their food is AWFUL. No one in my friend group eats here anymore, we all agree it taste horrible frozen food that’s been microwaved. The burgers especially are awful. It’s so appealing to see sun h a lovely patio all lit up. But the food makes me never want to come back. I’ve given it multiple shots. Every time I leave disappointed.

I have wanted to try Gattuso's for a long time. I am so sorry to say that this was the worst spaghetti and meatballs I have ever had. I read another similar review. The sauce was brown and not red with no Italian flavor at all. As a matter of fact, the sauce tasted like a tasteless brown gravy. And like the similar review, the pasta was so overcooked, it was mushy. It was so far from being firm at all. The meatballs were two huge balls of meat. No Italian flavor, no flavor at all. Not a bit of Parmesan or Romano cheese to be found anywhere. I am surprised, disappointed, and sad ☹️.

overall: nice place with decent food; not a good value; free parking pros: outdoor seating (great during covid); large menu variety; friendly service; nice decor and interior (can't eat it, but you pay for it); free & convenient parking across the street; nice location great for walking around before or after eating cons: hostess should inform you if they're out of any specials of the day before you get your heart set on them; tepid gumbo with crunchy rice (in louisiana?); table surface had a sticky texture before and after they cleaned it--likely a combo of outdoor humidity and build-up of cleaner residue (while we're sure it was clean, the tabletop still clung to napkins and sleeves); poor value--portion size and quality didn't match with the price tag note: we did not relay our experience with a manager; we did return the gumbo and the second try was the same; opted for something else the 3rd time; unclear how much covid may have impacted things for them; please visit this local restaurant and give them a try for yourself; judging from the large amount of good reviews, our visit was hopefully an exception to the rule

I’ve stopped in to grab a shrimp po’ boy or roast beef sandwich (both excellent) but tonight I had the weekend special; crawfish etouffé with fried catfish. It did not disappoint!!! Great local craft brews on tap as well. Gattuso’s has a great kitchen, awesome staff, and the beer is cold.

The food was delicious with very generous portions. The staff was attentive and friendly. We actually used a Groupon, but we were treated just like all the other patrons. The was no arguing over what we could and couldn't order, and the menu had a good variety!

Fantastic choice of foods. Customer service was great. Looks like the restaurant was just updated. Clean and fresh looking. Great atmosphere. Food was just as good as the atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. Will be back here soon.

Had an awesome evening, Food was delicious, family atmosphere. Was there extra long while celebrating my friend's bday and the staff were so nice and didn't rush us out! Manager came out and was very hospitable. I definitely plan on returning with my family! Thank you all so much!

I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was a beautiful evening so we took advantage of it and ate outside on their patio. My husband and I ordered the seafood platter(fish,shrimp and fries)and split it. It was definitely plenty for the both of us. It came out fresh and hot and so worth the $29.99 price. Brussel sprouts appetizer was delish as well. I also tried some of their sweet potato fries. Yummy!! You will not be disappointed.

The staff is friendly. Great atmosphere. The food is delicious. We had the Red Fush Saturday special with steamed vegetables. It was dripping with flavor. I recommend the Oyster Artichoke Soup. Though we sat at the bar, the outside seating was very inviting.

I was really disappointed because my hamburger was seriously cold. I took it home to heat it. I was confused because it was cooked but it was cold.The buns were not the best. I think in the past the food was better. There was also an issue with the machines that processed the credit cards. It took awhile.

Pricey. Food was ok. Nothing great . Red beans and rice needed some flavor and was too dry.queso and chips appetizer was good and the wings with chili sauce.Frzen turtle drink was good.

To be fair the hostess was very polite. However, the order was wholly and completely incorrect despite attempting to reiterate both on the phone and in person. Simply put the staff is not capable of correctly entering takeout orders. The phone system is interrupted every time someone calls in, as a result, it is not feasible to call and place an order at high volume times. The order was supposedly confirmed after finishing, and then verified in person. Despite attempting twice to verify the order the staff still made multiple errors. I read out the order to the server to confirm in person and she was not capable of confirming the order. We left a phone number and the server did not call back, but informed me that she didn't want to mess it up so she didn't place the full order in the system. Resulting in half the order sitting for 20 minutes as they attempted to complete the order. I noticed some errors and the server attempted to double charge me for incorrect items. Salads that had dressings specified on the side still had balsamic vinagrette placed on the salads despite coming with the dressing on the side. Overall, I would highly recommend avoiding placing any to go orders at this restaurant at all costs.

This was my first time going. Street view is beautiful. There is an outside patio eating area that is so relaxing. It has feaux grass and nice furniture, The drinks were good and food was delicious. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly, I will be returning. If you are reading this before New Year and need some where for you, your family, or visiting guests, go after 5, the area is lit in white lights for Christmas and it's beautiful 😍 you can get out at the little park down the street and take pics. Highly recommend 👌🏾.

Fantastic service and a tasty poboy. I had the dirty bird, which is turkey and roast beef. The French bread was nice and crispy, and the roast beef was nice and messy. Needed about 10 napkins! Loved the fried pickles as well. Looking forward to adding Gattuso’s to my rotation.

Food has gone down hill. Got food poisoning from the roast beef yesterday. Should have known when I tasted a lot of water in the gravy. Update: yes I did go to my doctor. Called the owner and inbox was full.

A relaxing atmosphere and the bartender is very generous with the alcohol. I'm rating the bartender a 4 but the food is a 2. I ordered the Amberjack fish. Once my food arrived the owner came over and started talking to me. We discussed the newly renovated location and his relationship with his parent that is he is taking care of. I listened to his frustrations and understand since I also took care of my parents when they declined in health. The people here are genuine in nature it feels like family however the food is sub par and they don't offer Port wine. The fush was dry and had no flavor. It was $21 for the entree, steep for such bland food. I was thrilled to run into a friend who paid fir my meal. Definitely not a place i would tsje a date to eat. I would however recommendthis place to those who want to get a quick buzz. Huge pours and they have ALL the games on. I can't imagine what their liquor costs are with the overpouring. I doubt they are making a huge profit since you recoup your costs with beer sales. I didn't see one person drinking beer. Might want to take a look at this if your struggling... just saying.

Good food! The pot roast po'boy is amazing, Giving only 4 stars because the red beans & rice my husband by ordered didn't come with enough catfish. However we will be coming back the next time we come to visit family.

The remodel is fantastic! guess it's been a while... we started with the fish bite appetizer... great fried fish... I had the surf and turf wrap... delicious is a good way to describe that selection... good cold beer... friendly staff, kudos to Hailey (sp?) for keeping track of our gastronomic well-being... 🙃❤👍

Took my mom for lunch. She loved her Salmon dish. I had the grilled chicken breast with veggies and ordered sweet potatoe fries in lieu of mash potatoes, the order came out wrong but they quickly made it right without any issues. The waitresses here are nice, courteous, and check on you frequently to make sure you have a pleasant experience. I'd recommend Gattuso's to all my friend's and family. Nice place for lunch or dinner.
