Very nice wee motel. Good and fair pricing, clean rooms, friendly service upon arrival. Good location, everything you need (shops and the like) are just up the road

It was totally disgusting. On arrival we where given a tiny jar of milk, not the usual sealed ones any other motel would give.. the room smelled, but the worst thing for me was looking at the ceilings to find that I could see into the roof space as around the light bulbs were open... tons of spider webs, a hair dryer from what looked like from the 70s fall of the walk along with the towel rail.. when I asked to use the washing facilities the man stood there watching me put my clothing into the machine, I felt uncomfortable.. on our first morning my partner went out and I was still in bed when the older man entered my room.. even though my partner told them we Sid not require anything at all. Revolting place, worst of the worst

Also allowed a small cratered dog. We were very happy staying there.

Dirty beyond belief. Saggy mattress. Too expensive for shabby condition of room and surroundings

Provides a bed for the night, but would not recommend. We were chsrged $125 for 2 people, but paying $20 more per night will buy you a far better 4 star motel room close by. Tired, unmaintained and a bit dingy. Clean comfortable beds and towels. Two lightbulbs missing. Short walk to town. Owner has English as a second language, so communication a tad difficult. Only some rooms have kitchenettes, and I think those are given to families needing transitional housing, so you will need to check the room facilities before you book.

Back a year later. Price increase but quality compromised. Solid stovetop elements didn't work. Only one old pan to cook with. No appropriate cooking dishes, bed not made neatly. So frustrating so will try a better equipped therefore more welcoming motel next time. I am over " spartan, basic" motel facilities.

Fine for one night could do with an upgrade very dated, shower floor moved when in it. Owner friendly

Quite expensive for something so basic, everywhere else was booked and we had been travelling all day and needed somewhere to rest. Bathroom is from the 70s, with mould on the shower sealant, only 2 towls for 3 people and no head boards on the single beds so the pillows fell on the floor. Very outdated bedding. We won't be back. Nor recommend. Had to get up in the night to fix a dripping tap.

An older motel run by quite friendly staff. The Studio unit we had was fairly tired and needed some maintenance. Room was smaller than expected. The bed comfortable but the couch well out of date. Images on their website do not represent all rooms. The cost is considered over value but the location convenient to town centre.

We arrived for a work trip, and the photos looked a lot better than what we were given. Was very out dated and very rough around the edges. The beds were okay to sleep in other than that it wasn’t as we were told. Also had the doors on the bottom and top floor left unlocked for housekeeping while we were away at work. Came back around the time they were finished and upon leaving made triple sure it was locked but came back to the place unlocked again. Wasn’t very happy with our stay and won’t be coming back again.

If it was summer I'd be sleeping on a park bench, I expected more for the cost, photos advertised are far from recent, no smoke alarm or milk, basic tv channels, the heater sounds like a chopper off a m*a*s*h episode. Grey mouth is rather bizy so was only option, only recommend as a last resort. Staff seemed more annoyed then helpful.

Room freezing with 2 heaters going! Clean enough but getting old!! No TV channels but that would be ok if wifi worked. Not answering phone and office door locked at 7pm so can’t get online to work or watch anything!

We did book late and did not get a choice, but we wouldn't choose to stay here again. It was not the cleanest and then we found a pillow with a blood stain. The kitchen taps dripped and the equipment was very minimal. We got 4 towels for 5 of us, which meant asking for more. It is definitely a budget motel but not a budget price.

This was a very average to lower experience. The price per night was on the lower range and was definitely reflected in the stay. We were warm enough during the night, but windows were slightly broken at the hinges which meant windows didn't seal properly and we had to run the fan heater the whole time to ensure the room was warm and cozy. We were also shocked at the mold in the shower corners and in the star patterns on the bathroom window. When we opened the kettle it was lined with brown grease. We had to wash it before using. We didn't bother asking for a replacement as we asked for an extra blanket at arrival (myself being a person who gets cold very easily) and all we got from the male owner was a stern "no, no one else has complained before". The husband and wife team looks to be the owner/managers. The husband is very rude and unfriendly, but the wife is the complete opposite, being so friendly and warm welcoming. I would prefer to pay a bit less for the accommodation, but at least the cutlery and bedding was nice and clean. I will stay there again, only if there are no other places available. The bonus was that it is just around the corner of the Greymouh Harrier Squash club, which was what we were looking for. So this motel is not a hell no, but definitely not an instant yes either.

Stayed 6th & 7th January, 2022. Older establishment which has (just) been reasonably maintained. Tried to stay at Hokitika, but it was choker; apart from few, unwilling to lower their ridiculous prices places, so were forced to carry on to Greymouth. Breeze filled our requirements. A teatowel, would have been useful.

This was about the only place left as I came through Greymouth y'day so I went in & did the deal as I was totally knackered & needed a shower as well. Inside the motel it was pretty tidy & the bed had clean sheets & gave me 10hrs of good sleep. I found that the toilet & shower were quite small areas to move about in but then again I'm rather big. I noticed a hair dryer attached to a wall in the bathroom that was taped up with clear plastic tape & it was dirty & looked totally out of place. Another thing I came across while trying to get the TV on to the news was a broken, dirty, sticky item that had what channels I had to push to see the news. I hit the scratcher early & enjoyed my sleep. I left a note re the stuff I thought ought to be sorted & went on my way. Would I stay there again? I'm not entirely sure but would if the hair dryer & the TV channels thing were sorted as the rest of the place was tidy & clean.

The people running this motel say yes to requests on the phone and don't follow through. Our nightshift workers were kicked out at lunchtime when (I thought) it was agreed prior that they could stay from early morning to nighttime. They agreed to a partial refund over the phone, then got back to me a week later to let me know that they will not be issuing the refund. I understand needing to fill the room as it could have been lost profit and turning someone away BUT don't agree to things you can't fulfill. It has been frustrating to deal with. We have many contacts around the country who are happy with this arrangement as we travel every month and would be a regular customer!
