Dear
adventurers.
With
these
Canoe
trips
create
an
unforgettable
memory
and
adventure
in
an
incredibly
beautiful
natural
piece
of
nature.
These
days
we
set
out
as
a
combination
of
2
fathers
and
2
sons
to
write
a
chapter
of
an
adventure
together.
We
booked
online
with
a
deposit
for
a
shared
4-person
canoe.
Getting
there
wasn't
a
problem,
and
there's
a
decent
parking
garage
right
next
to
the
rental
that's
actually
not
full
and
only
costs
€1
for
the
whole
day.
In
your
car,
you
should
definitely
bring
a
change
of
clothes
and
dry
shoes
for
each
participant.
From
our
experience,
it
makes
sense
to
wear
light
shoes
that
can
get
wet
when
on
the
water.
So.
Arrived,
got
out
and
off
we
went
to
register.
Checking
in
on
site
was
unproblematic
and
easy.
We
presented
the
reservation,
paid
the
remaining
amount
in
cash
and
then
received
an
immediate
introduction
to
the
symbolism
of
the
signs
on
the
water,
the
general
behavior
and
the
technology
of
the
locks.
Now
we
were
equipped
with
life
jackets,
which
are
included
in
the
price,
set
paddles,
and
a
supposedly
waterproof
bin
in
which
we
stowed
our
valuables
such
as
car
keys,
wallets,
cell
phones,
etc.
I
would
give
everyone
the
tip
to
stow
their
valuables
in
it,
as
there
can
be
splashes
of
water
when
traveling
on
the
water,
it
can
get
choppy
at
times
and
there
is
always
the
chance
of
capsizing.
Doesn't
have
to,
but
can.
Oh
well,
you
can
of
course
take
food
and
drink
with
you
on
board.
If
you
wonder
why
you
see
so
many
sponges
when
you
register
or
on
some
canoes
when
renting,
then
this
should
be
a
reminder
to
take
one
or
two
with
you.
They
will
help
you
suck
the
collected
splash
water
out
of
the
canoe
and
donate
it
back
to
the
river.
Now
to
start.
You
will
be
escorted
into
your
canoe
at
the
rental
point
and
put
on
the
water.
From
then
on
you
are
on
your
own
and
have
to
be
a
team.
Choose
the
seating
arrangement
in
the
canoe
so
that
the
center
of
gravity
is
evenly
distributed
in
the
canoe,
and
with
children,
definitely
in
the
middle.
Otherwise
you
may
have
an
experience
getting
water
into
the
canoe
due
to
the
inclined
position
:-))).
The
start
begins
directly
with
a
highlight.
You
start
at
the
footbridge
and
drive
straight
into
an
impressive
tunnel
that
is
quite
dark
and
almost
200m
long.
Here
you
have
to
keep
calm
and
focus
on
the
light
that
shines
at
the
end
of
the
tunnel,
in
the
truest
sense
of
the
word
:-).
After
a
few
meters
of
water,
there
is
the
first
and
largest
lock,
which
has
several
levels.
Choose
a
person
in
the
canoe
to
be
the
smuggler.
It
is
best
to
have
an
independent
adult,
as
smuggling
when
there
is
no
other
group
on
site
is
strenuous
and
takes
time.
In
addition,
there
has
to
be
a
person
in
the
canoe
-
we
had
a
4
person
-
who
can
maintain
stability
and
calmness
in
the
canoe,
as
locking
takes
a
while
and
can
lead
to
small
turbulences
when
filling
the
chambers.
It
all
sounds
worse
than
it
is,
but
small
children
shouldn't
stay
alone
in
the
canoe.
Once
you
have
overcome
the
first
lock,
you
can
expect
a
wonderful
time
on
a
great
natural
body
of
water.
The
river
is
narrow,
not
really
deep,
and
apart
from
canoes
you
won't
come
across
anything
other
than
a
kayak.
But
there
are
no
boats
or
ships.
After
certain
stretches
there
is
always
a
lock.
Attention,
the
division
of
the
river
in
front
of
the
lock
is
always
well
signposted
and
you
should
then
choose
the
correct
junction
that
leads
into
the
lock.
This
is
indicated
by
a
white
sign
with
a
large
arrow
:-).
And
there
are
various
opportunities
to
invest
on
the
way
there.
For
example,
we
stopped
in
Fürfurth
because
there
is
a
small,
idyllic
beer
garden
right
near
the
jetty
where
we
spent
our
lunch
break
eating
delicious
delicacies
at
reasonable
prices.
