Def coming back here again. Staff are very welcoming and it feels familiar like I'm back home. Ordered a beef hor fun and it was really good. I could taste the wok hei in it and it was a really good portion. Place was clean and owner served fruits and dessert for free too. Love.it.

I’ve been here many times and always refer my friends to come here for the good food and friendly service. But I don’t know what happened today the personnel was being super RUDE and RACIST with my colleagues. Usually they bring us some fruits and desserts after meal (like always) for free and today I asked too. The owner said (more like yelled), it’s only for our CHINESE clients and we are doing this for YOUR favor and we don’t serve FOREIGNERS our desserts. We are not obligated. What this this racist comment? and this conversation happened after a waiter SPILLED FOOD on ME 😡

Small and very busy place, at least in the evenings. The staff was very helpful in answering questions. The food was served quickly and tasted very good. The price itself was acceptable. Best not to come by car as only street parking is available and it's very limited. The relatively small place also is very busy and unfortunately, we felt a bit rushed to finish up, get up and leave through that was the clientele rather than the staff. Will try to go again earlier in the afternoon to see if it's better another time as dinner was indeed quite busy.

Malaysian food is very authentic. The wa tan hor (thick noodles seafood) and duck rice is really good. Service is great. They did not accept credit cards.

I had quite high expectation, after heard about this restaurant. As we came looked like as any other Chinese restaurant. But the service is bad, even so so bad. The old man took our order such in a rush, even we haven’t finished to order, he left us. I wanted order another dish after we almost finish our eating, and he said it could take longer time (around 10min). I said okay. But the dish never came, and when we asked about it, he answered rudely, that he said it would take longer and said I didn’t say yes. How come you get angry to your customer for asking the food??!! The tables were not even full at that time. What a shame service, and the food itself was not that great. Hainan rice was too sweet, the soup was cold and the noodle laksa was smelly not fresh. So NOT RECOMMENDED at all.

Großartige Auswahl an verschiedenen authentischen Gerichten. Sehr freundliches Personal, Kartenzahlung ist möglich. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und schmeckte wie in Asien. Sehr sehr empfehlenswert und absolute Bereicherung für das Bahnhofsviertel!

Super enjoy this Chinese cuisine here! I really love the food especially Hainan chicken rice and the rice roll with the red pork inside (cannot remember what it called) but felt a little bit disappointed of Hagao because I the flour is a bit weird from what I have had before. Overall, I was enjoy being here and recommend you to visit this place :)

Came here for a New Year’s eve dinner. Restaurant is quite big and spacious. Staffs were friendly and they can all speak Melayu. We ordered: Salted egg prawns (7/10) Beef Hor fun (8.5/10) Mie goreng (8/10) Salt & Pepper Squid (7/10) Fried rice (7.5/10) Chicken satay (9/10) Kangkong (8/10) Staffs were really friendly, and told us if our ordered is already enough, or else we could have over-ordered lol. We also get complimentary fruits (pineapple and grapes) as well as a Malaysian dessert. Highly recommended if you are craving for asian food in Frankfurt

Very delicious food and very nice service every single time we visit. They offer the best hainan chicken rice and one thing I’d recommend is shrimp with salted egg yolk it was sooooo good. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

This place is really nice to sit in. The prices are ok and the service is great. We had the char kway teoh, beef rendang, and stir fried chinese broccoli. The noodles were great, and I would definitely get that again. The beef rendang was alright and the broccoli looked delicious but some stems were quite tough.

If you are a Malaysian in Germany who miss the taste of home, this is the perfect place to fulfill your cravings. But if you are new to the Malaysian taste, I'm sure you will fall in love instantly. My most favourite will be the char kuay teow!

First time visit was a success. Very welcoming and happy service plus fast serving of food. Ordered Nasi Lemak and Curry Laksa. The flavors were intense and delicious. The Laksa was very authentic. The Homemade ice tea and the sweet-salty plum drink went well together with the food. Certainly not cheap for the portion size but the tasty food and nice team make it an enjoyable time.

I live close to this restaurant, came here first time today. While I was still looking at the menu and wanted to order some desert, they have almost done cooking my first course without asking me for my confirmation and I haven't even finished with ordering, meaning that I had no chance to change my order. The cashier woman said very rude to me that I could not change any more and I had to accept that. Bad service and lack of friendliness deserve one star. They should learn that service goes first, as there are enough good asian restaurants out there in Frankfurt. BTW, the food I ordered (Number C34 in the menu) tastes really bad. The main reason is because they used frozen beef.

They‘re renovating the front part but you can eat at the back which is not bad. As long as one can eat Malaysian Food! We had Assam Laksa and their Fried Sotong. They were both delicious! The rice given with the dishes are huge portion, unlike in most Asian/Thai Restaurant here in Germany which is really nice! Drinks wise we had Asam Boi Lemon and Cincau. Both pairs perfectly with the dishes. They needed Corona Test for eating in but they provide a Rapid Test for free.

Very authentic and cozy place to eat. Food was good and price was above average, but is worth it. I always visit here when I am in Frankfurt.

Food was just so so. The char siew bao (steamed buns) and cheung fun (steamed rice noodles) had tiny bones and boar taint.

This is THE place if you want to have authentic Malaysian food. Not only are the hosts incredibly nice, the food quality is unparalleled and the variety of dishes allows for large groups to sample various options. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Been here couple of times and as a Malaysian I think the food here is good. At least not something that I wouldn’t return. What I liked during my last visit: homemade squid balls soup. It’s not something very heavy. Nutritious and yummy. I suggest this if you just want to have a snack for tea time.

Decent dim sum and friendly staff close to Frankfurt hbf. Would definitely visit again to try other items on the menu.

  • 5/5 En 1 year ago on Google
Although the dim sum is more on the pricier side, I highly recommend it. The vegetable packed with fish was also a very interesting dish for me. Lastly the roasted duck and pork are really enough to make me happy. I recommend

As a Malaysian, I can testify that Selera meets the standards of a reputable Malaysian restaurant! I had Hainanese chicken rice, which was as authentic as it could get ... tasty to the last grain! A small desert of mung bean soup and fruit was also served on the house, and the service was super fast, which is great if you need a quick (and nourishing) fix of solid Malaysian food near the Hauptbahnhof while waiting for your train. The lady serving me was also very warm and friendly. I will definitely be back the next I drop by Frankfurt!

Cosy little restaurant run by a Malaysian Chinese couple. During my stay in Frankfurt I visited twice ordering something different each time. Although Malaysian cuisine is often made up of street food, this restaurant has a balance of proper dishes and street food to cater for groups or individuals. I order their chicken rice during my first visit and Char Kway Teow during the second. The chicken rice serving was huge! Being Hainanese (the birth place of chicken rice) and a Singaporean (where chicken rice was made a popular street food) I must say Selena’s chicken rice is neither like the Hainan version nor the Singapore version. But I liked it nonetheless. Okay maybe after 4 weeks in Europe, I missed my chicken rice. But seriously the chicken was succulent and tender. The chilli sauce was somewhere between piquant and sweet. Wish it had a bit more heat. Maybe the rice was cooked with chicken broth or ready made paste, but it was the let down for this dish. The Char Kway Teow (fried rice noodles) was more the Penang style CKT, not the southern Malaysian type which is fried with sweet sauce. When served, I felt there was some wok heat. I wish they would add more chives and spice it up a little. And no, there were no cockles. This is Germany. For those who miss Malaysian/Singapore food, this is the best place to be in Frankfurt.

Walked in for a weekday lunch and waa pleasantly surprised to hear that the waitress and waiter(might be the owner) speak to each other with that distinct malaysian twang. Prices are average for the area (under 20 per dish) and portion sizes for single noodle dishes are well worth the price. I ordered from their midday menu ( tuesday to fri , lunchtime only) and got nasi lemak with malaysian beef curry. The amount of meat was generous and the curry was spot on. But it lacks any hint if chilli if that is what you are looking for. The rice was fragrant and u can smell the coconut milk. Do try their teh tarik or "pulled tea" which is sweet milk tea . i got mine with ice. Tastes exactly like it should. Will 100% come by and try their char kway teow and hainanese chicken rice. Both were ordered by the table next door and looked (and smelled) fantastic. They also have a dim sum menu that looked quite legit but i didnt see anyone try them. Waiters are conversant in chinese, german cantonese, malay at least too!

Dinner time, group of four. I'd give this place 2.5 but rounded up. It surprisingly lacked flavor. Not pictured: nasi goreng and sautéd water spinach which was nice, but was a tad overcooked and mushy. They forgot to bring out the water spinach and it took us calling it to their attention twice before it finally came out.

I am generally satisfied with the dishes but the rice of the chicken rice set that I ordered on my last visit was not yet fully cooked. After the renovation, the atmosphere has been very pleasant.

delicious Malaysian restaurant. This was probably the first time I've had Malaysian food but I was immediately hooked. Their menu is very extensive with many great options to choose from, varying from Chinese to Malay cuisine. At the time renovations are taking place at the front store but the dining area is not affected as far as I've noticed. The service is friendly and organised. Besides the restaurant is in proximity to te train station, so it's very convenient for travellers with limited time looking for a tasty meal. Would definitely recommend!

  • 5/5 Faith W. L. 2 years ago on Google
The food serve is definitely authentic, the taste of food reminds me of home cooked food. 🥲 Portion is huge and well priced. Aside from the dishes, they ended up with red bean soup and free fruits (filled with joy eating all the delicious authetic food.) Definitely recommends to everyone who wants a taste of Malaysian food without traveling to Malaysia. Service wise is also great, the friendly aunties just remind me of Malaysia. Would give 6 star if I am able to. P.S. Guys, order the Assam fish and belacan kangkong. They are so amazing!! Red bean soup taste like a dream too
