Went out for dinner with my husband and we were both absolutely floored by our meals. The hibachi and sushi rolls were absolutely amazing. I'm unsure why this place isn't talked about more but I think this may be the best sushi downriver. The only downside to our whole experience was the atmosphere. The decor is great but the floor plan is the issue. They have the hostess booth in the middle of the dining area, so when people come in to be seated,or are waiting for a pick up order, they are hovering over people who are dining in. Otherwise a fantastic restaurant we will be back!

We love this place! It is our favorite for sushi! The food is delicious and the staff is so nice! Eva takes good care of us every time! Sometimes it's busy but what do you expect! Definitely worth the wait! 😉

New to Grosse Ile, so trying the restaurants here for the first time. Ume did not disappoint. This is the hibachi chicken take out, came with soup or salad. I got the miso soup and it was delicious. The food is so good. Fresh, hot and good portioning.

This was the BEST hibachi grill I have ever had! Five stars is not even enough stars! I can’t wait to go back to try the sushi. The sushi chef was extremely busy. Carry out orders were non stop.

We love the food so much!!!!! What a surprising gem on Grosse Ile. The vegetarian rolls are really really good and so are all the other hot entrees we’ve tried. Definitely worth your while.

Very cute place on gross ille. The hibachi salmon was delectable. If I was closer I’d frequent it more. There was a small child there driving a mini car. Super entertaining and friendly atmosphere

I've ordered a side of udon (side noodle) every time Ive come for about a year now. It's never been an issue.. today though some lady started berating me on the phone because of it? Like I don't know what to say. I order my food like this almost every week?

Very friendly staff, beautiful attention to detail on the sushi. Don’t forget to mention everything is so fresh. They do have beer, sake and select liquors.
