One of the region's most authentic hotels, family owned and charming. Particularly lovely is the restaurant, with its delicious local specialties, solid wine list and lovely terrace with a view on the mountains surrounding the Lauenen valley.

Delightful New Year's day lunch of Wiener Schnitzel. Ambiance and food that brings back memories of traditional Swiss atmosphere in a small alpine village. Very reasonable prices. I live in small village nearby

An authentic local hotel with a very good restaurant and friendly staff. I really enjoyed my time here and loved the old charm of the building.

A very nice place, situated outside the hustle and bustle. We had a room with a view, and what a view it was. Typical old Chalet, with clean rooms, clean washrooms and old articles used to decorate the insides. The hosts very nice and we had a wonderful stay indeed. Must mention the excellent breakfast offered there. Has a parking as well.

The rooms are very spacious and clean but cold. Breakfast was adequate for a 3 star hotel and parking was available next to the hotel. There was no ski storage or boot heater. You need a car to go to the slopes or need local bus transport - and it's quite a way to go there. The hotels location is remote and there is not much to do around the hotel. Staff was not very polite or proactive.

The atmosphere is super relaxing. You hear the small creek at night 🌊 The rooms are very tidy, so is the shared bathroom - clean sheets round up the rooms impression. The food is delicious and the breakfast for its size too rich to taste everything - we liked especially the yogurths from the local dairy and the classical Simmenthal rough bread 🍞 Although I did not try (I needed some good old fries) the Rösti‘s looked delicious 🥘 The complete setup makes the staff - friendly, charming and very helpful. We felt very welcome and cared for. COVID Remark: The measures are taken seriously, guests get reminded to keep masks on and if you didn‘t bring yours you get one offered. It feels safe and professional 😷

I didn't like the attitude of the waitress. Shouting to a 2 year old that that was a restaurant because he was crying.

Had a very good lunch here with good service and enjoyed the views from the terrace.
