Very rustic feel. We went for the buffet which was really good value for money. Drinks (non-alcoholic) is included in the buffet, as is coffee. The service was great as well. If what you’re looking for is a dining experience with a complete different atmosphere you’ll find anywhere else, give Santo Coyote a try. They have valet and also an large outdoor area with running water so you really feel like your dining in the forest. Or a cave. Whichever you prefer :)

My boyfriend & I came here for the breakfast buffet & dinner. Breakfast buffet was delicious they had about 16 different traditional dishes to choose from definitely worth your $$. Dinner was amazing! Great service and great food. Only thing I would say is steak isn’t their specialty but everything else is 👌🏼

Santo Coyote is one of the coolest and most unique restaurants I have ever been to. To begin the restaurant was huge - it had an upstairs and downstairs. It had several water features throughout the restaurant and so many different pieces of art work throughout. I walked around the restaurant twice and still don't think I saw everything. They had a massive tequila museum and even a tequila store to buy your own. For dinner they made fresh salsa right at the table and it was so tasty! The drinks were delicious and made fresh and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. I would definitely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner!

This was our first visit to Santo Coyote. It is a really neat restaurant that I would recommend to anyone. - Dining is outside (they will bring you a poncho if cold). - There is an option for private dining that is separated as well as dining by one of the waterfalls. - They have dance performances of local dances with appropriate clothing. - Bathrooms are unique. They have solid wood doors for each stall and lava sinks. - Lots of variety of drinks and food you're bound to find something you like. If you are in the area, stop and eat here.

Great food and great service. Use the valet parking since there is hardly any street parking. Then while you wait they have coffee and bread for you to have. We went to the buffet and thee were so many choices ans anything we tried was so delicious. I had the barbacoa quesadillas and wow! (Amongst other things) there's there's changing table in the women's restroom. We were there celebrating a birthday amd let me say we have never had a more amazing and meaningful birthday celebration in any other restaurant. I don't want to spoil the surprise so you just have to go.

Beautiful restaurant, with great service. This restaurant also offers a breakfast buffet if you arrive early. Dinner is menu service, and the food is good. Expect 500 pesos per person (about $30) minimum, including a couple beers, coffee, desert, and tip. More $ if you order a steak. A unique feature is the salsa bowl made table side, prepared to your taste. It was delicious. You can find both indoor and outdoor seating. The patio seating is beautiful, with a garden, waterfall, and much art work. Full bar for your needs. Recommend for the experience if you are in the area.

There is a reason why the restaurant received tens of thousands of reviews and still more than 4.5 star rated in average. Inside the restaurant is an entire different world than the outside city. Only the experience itself and the freshly made-at-table picante/pollo picante dipping with corn chips are already worth 5 stars, not to mention the great grilled flank/rib eye steaks. Great shows including real El Mariachi musicians are available (with tips) and Jarabe Tapatio dancers. Natural ambiance with dimmed lantern, fireplace, trees, waterfall, and much more. Highly recommend to foreign customers and tourists for authentic Mexican culture and history experience.

Food was terrible yet ambiance was nice. I was warned by locals about this being the case. Two of us didn’t eat our dinner as steaks were rubbery. Would recommend having drinks here and dinner elsewhere.

Giantic size of Mexican restaurant! Great atmosphere and nicely done interior design, actually very traditional. It gives great impression. Food was ok and nicely presented. Good place for foreign people like me but I saw many local people too... :) must be famous

A true Mexican dining experience. The food, service and vibes were perfect. The breakfast buffet had lots of traditional Mexican favorites. The person manning the buffet was exceptionally friendly and willing to answer any questions. My only advice is don't come between 12:30 and 1 pm as they are switching between the buffet and the menu. I will definitely be back.

This is a fun restaurant and would be a great place to bring a group of friends to celebrate something or just to celebrate life. Fresh made salsa table side, fresh tortillas and a wide range of appetizers and mains to chose from. We loved everything we had, we ate until we couldn’t eat more and we were surprised that the bill came out as low as it did. It’s no wonder Santo Cayote has earned its outstanding ratings. (Lights are rather dim so apologies for the poor quality photos)

Good food, pricey. Famous restaurant in Guadalajara. Mariachi music and very well themed. Valet parking available. Cash and credit cards accepted. Full bar. Excellent service.

One word: magical But since google wants me to write a longer description.... From the moment you get in, you feel like you're in another world. The ambiance really feels like you're in another world. Everyone is so nice there. I said that in other reviews of other places, but Santo Coyote takes it to a whole new level. I can't even describe how all the staff is courteous. The food is delicious. I'll be honest. This is not the best Mexican food I ever ate HOWEVER, their salsa, the chips, the tortillas are in the top 3 of the best of each kind that I ever tried. I will go back. 😊

Highly highly recommend if in Guadalajara, Jalisco especially September 16th para el Día de la Independencia de México. They have the most amazing food, beverages, great service and the best set up with their all inclusive dinner celebration. AMAZING I repeat!

I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. Everything from the decor and landscaping, to the absolutely impeccable service. It’s a total gem. My only grumble is that the cocktails are typically way too sweet and not strong enough, and the coconut shrimp I tried was lacklustre. Their Mocajete, tortilla soup and guacamole are phenomenal. Go for the music and the vibes!

What an amazing place. Can't wait to go back. Service was above and beyond and would fly my family here from Michigan just for the experience. Food was perfect and entertainment was perfect. Hand made salsa at the table made to taste. Scenery around the restaurant was spectacular!

The restaurant has unique decorations both in the front and inside. They also have a small gift shop for guests who wanted to take home souvenirs. I ordered what I understand as steak salad, when it came I thought is was a pizza. It so delicious! We also had chicharon, chips, salsa and guacamole for appetizers. Our server and I wish I remember her name, she was very patient as most of us does not speak Spanish. Everyone enjoyed their meal and drinks. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Came for a birthday dinner and ordered a la carte. The food was okay. I ordered the strawberry steak plate and zucchini flowers with shrimp. It was good but I wasn’t amazed. Service was slow. It just wasn’t what it was hyped up to be but maybe the breakfast buffet is a better experience.

  • 5/5 Aldo M. 2 years ago on Google
The scenery is astonishing. They make the salsa fresh and custom to your taste, right in front of you, in a very traditional way with a "molcajete". The food selection is fantastic, and they have a store with many many many brands of Tequila.

Amazing experience for lunch, with great Mexican delicacies, including the preparation of your Chips’ Salsa by the table in a real Molcajete, only with fresh ingredients (and you can ask how spicy or not you’d like it). I ordered the “Tuetano” bones which is such a delicacy and comes w/ corn tortillas so you can prep your own yummy tacos while still hot. We also ordered a Guacamole to share, which was also prepared by the table, low on Chile for foreigners! 😜. Beverage of choice was a yummy Orange/Passion Fruit mix (a new fave of mine), but they also offer Guanabana, Red Berries and many other great options, and some with drinks in cool jars. Dessert was an excellent Chocolate cake with red berries inside, just the perfect small size and taste, accompanied with a Espresso Cortado. Highly recommended and I was told by one of my peers that the Buffet breakfasts here are to die for…! Definitely bring an empty stomach but no need for a ton of money.

All what 5 Stars can tell about a place! It’s more than a good restaurant, it has art and a Tequila museum. Great attention from Naomi, a place you must visit at Guadalajara City! 😉

Lots of options on the breakfast buffet. And everything that we tried was excellent. Don't forget to visit the tequila store on the second floor. Highly recommended

Such a unique, gorgeous place!! A mystical Mexico atmosphere with various open air rooms, gardens with winding paths, stunning waterfalls and beautiful, rich, warm, old world decor. You don't feel like your in the heart of huge city at all. Food was delicious, service excellent, atmosphere amazing! We'll definitely be going back!

Amazing place with amazing vibes. We went there for the breakfast buffet and it was packed. Despite this, we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Two thumbs up on the food!! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

The place is weirdly unique The decoration is so peculiar, the food is soooo good, they give you a salsa made at your table as soon as you arrive, the tamarind bones were delicious, the tortilla soup amazing and so big! And the steak with strawberries was one of a kind, of course a carajillo at the end was the perfect thing to finish the day!

After a year that we heard of it for the first time and 6 months of wait to come back to Guadalajara, we finally made it to Santo Coyote. And it was worth it. Amazing decoration, buffet with lots of food to choose from, amazing service and a personal guided tour by Andrea. She is awesome. We will come back...

This place came highly recommended but I have to admit I was pretty disappointed in the food and most likely wouldn’t recommend. Don’t get me wrong, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! I think it’s definitely touristy, but not sure I’m convinced it’s where the locals prefer to eat. Food took forever to come out. I ordered a steak and shrimp dish. They asked me how I wanted it cooked, but I’m not sure why because it came out way overcooked and cold. Even after being sent back and replaced it still came out overcooked & cold. I would definitely never order it again. The dessert bar was pretty awesome though! Beautifully presented small desserts. The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious. Atmosphere, drinks & desserts were good an the only reason I gave more than one star.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with open outdoor tables sheilded by reed roofed buildings. Romantic venue. This is an expensive (by Mexican standards) restaurant specialising in the Josper grill. Menus are available in English but only 2 staff could speak English. Ordering was difficult where the waiter had to look at the menu item we were pointing to and then refer to the some position item on the Mexican menu. But it did work. Meals are reasonably priced, but beer and margarita was as expensive as the main course! That is probably why they don't have a drinks menu to order from! Overall, nice place. Great for special occasions but there are other places available with similar menus. The ambiance and feel of the place is very nice for that special meal.

This restaurant was absolutely gorgeous! All of the details they put into it were really great. We were sat outside in the back by the waterfall which was stunning. They made us a salsa right at our table which was really cool. When we arrived it was really warm but a thunderstorm decided to roll through and it also started to hail. We received our food right before the rain started but they did have to stop getting food from the kitchen while the hail was at its worst. Since we were getting wet they were so kind and moved us to a table where we wouldn’t get as wet. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which was delicious! My partner ordered a steak which was also delicious. I ordered the chicken breast for my son which was kind of bland. I also ordered a green apple with kiwi drink that the server had suggested and it was honestly one of the best drinks I’ve ever had in my life. My son had a strawberry drink (that didn’t have liquor) and that was also tasty. The rain poured on us for a good 35 minutes and it got really cold so they actually brought us ponchos to wear!! This gesture was really nice because it made you feel like they really care about you. The only thing I would say that I would improve is that our waiter wasn’t necessarily a bad person waiter maybe he just wasn’t having a great day but he wasn’t very attentive either. I saw him on my way out and I said thank you and he just didn’t respond. They have valet so you don’t have to worry about parking. They also had a little artisan store that carried beautiful pieces from all over Mexico. We purchased some items on the way out and the woman in there is so lovely.
