This is the place to be to satisfy your al pastor cravings. The best place we dined on this avenue with a good selection of drinks, great and attentive service, outstanding food, and super chill and outdoorsy feel as it’s an open space. I will add more pictures of our plate from my other devices… but see the Al pastor in the making with the ever energetic attendants that shave off the meat and toss to the servers. I’ve never tasted Al pastor before it seemed! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 Gracias Tomate!

Good Tacos. Nice ambience but not authentic. The Taco Pastor one of the best EVER. Orchata is really good, worth to order one at least. The staff is nice and always give a good suggestion. In Guadalajara, don’t miss it.

At first I thought it was a little over priced ($25 pesos per taco) but the portions were actually HUGE. Food was good, service was fast. Lively spot on a Friday night. 👍🏻

TÓMATE Taqueria in Colonia Americana offers a great restaurant with a vibrant ambiance, great food, excellent service, fresh tortillas and delicious beverages. I've been here several times and always have enjoyed my meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant and their service is amazing! Offers great of the "Chapultepec Corridor", always a great spot to eat and people watch. 👍👍

Of all the restaurants we ate at, this was the most overrated. The frequently mentioned al pastor tasted jerky like which made the pineapple slices the best part of the dish. Prices were very reasonable and maybe the reason for the number of highly rated reviews. This should be a hard pass for any self proclaimed foodie. Service was amazing and deserves 5+ stars.

It was a busy evening, after 10 minutes in line I was sitting and soon eating. The service was fast, I ordered their tomate especial medium size. More then enough to fill one person. It was flavorful and mildly spicy. They serve you tortilla’s as well. The dessert was nice, but I had better.

Ingredients were fresh, lots of complimentary sauce, carbonated fruit drinks like passion fruit, strawberry, limeade are must try. Food portion was big, even for the medium serving, but price is reasonable. Service is fast and efficient. However, pastor and other meat were just a-ok, not the best in the area. They were dried and lack of seasoning. Desserts like flan and cornbread are palatable but no remarkable about it.

I have been away from Mexico back to the states for 5 months and their are very few place to get genuine Al Pastor tacos. When you see this 100kg stack getting cooked you know they know how to do Al Pastors. So this was our first stop. We got the 500g plate and ate to our hearts delight with fresh tortillas and wonderful lemonade. These are great tacos and a great environment. After enjoying the tacos we got a flan and basically a sweetened corn bread cream cheese custard like cake. Both were wonderful and the flan was firm, smooth and silky texture. Probably the best I have had. The Elote cake was a surprise that you wouldn’t expect and definitely worth trying. This is the busiest taqueria I have ever seen which tells you they must be doing something right. Crush it and don’t go light when you come here to enjoy.

Wow! Just wow. Best tacos I think I’ve ever had. We had the medium size portion of Zarape and it was a ton of food for two people. All of the salsas were amazing. The service was great. If you’re in GDL you have to try this place.

Great place to enjoy the food. while the service is fast, avoid the rush hours because it can get pretty crowded. The portion and quality are awesome! Try the salsas which are great

Great staff ! Even though not English speaking much, was very patient with us in having conversation using google translator ! Food was great ! I m a vegetarian. I loved what I ordered. My friends ordered non-veg food and they absolutely loved it ! They wanted to go again and again and try more things ! The drinks were also amazing ! Loved the overall vibe of the restaurant ! They have so many staff that you will never have a slow service !

Delicious tacos and portions are huge, and waiting for a table can take a bit since it's a very popular place. The al pastor and arrachera are hands down their best. They sell aguas frescas, non alcoholic drinks, and beer. There's a parking lot right next to it, for $20 pesos per hour.

I enjoyed a delicious meal here on Mexican Independence Day in 2021. The casual atmosphere and well-flavored food make this quick-service restaurant a must-visit spot when in the neighborhood. The affordable prices, the tasty salsas, and the reliable service make this a popular spot with locals and large groups.

Great taco place, I read some reviews and took the chance to try this place, I don’t regret it at all. Food was very tasty and good portion, service was fast and very friendly, it has a nice atmosphere, it’s big and has good music. Definitely coming back in the future.

The Pastor and steak tacos are amazing, the fruits lemonade drink is greatly appreciated. Ask for the lemonade drink to be hand made because the fountain one is very sweet! The salsa's are amazing with the meat! Highly recommended!

First time here and food was delicious. We had al pastor and arrachera and few of their side dishes. Make sure to go there empty stomach 😋

Tacos are pretty good but nothing crazy. If theres a small or no line then try it out but definitely not worth waiting more than 15 min in line for.

Love this place food is really good and great service. They do serve you a lot of food be careful how much you order. Pastor would probably be the main dish there.
