Un très grand espace, où de nombreux coins de repos sont aménagés. C'est un peu la montagne ici. Arrivés les tout premiers jours de mars, nous ne sommes pas venus au meilleur moment pour en profiter. Le froid était vif dehors, les gelées assez fortes chaque matin. Si bien qu'il était très difficile de chauffer le petit appartement. Avec des murs très épais et de toutes petites ouvertures, le soleil ne pouvait y pénétrer. Mais quel confort cela doit être en plein été ! Nous avons pu imaginer la fraîcheur délicieuse à l'intérieur lorsque les températures montent en pleine saison estivale... L'accueil a été adorable. Hébergement à choisir de préférence en été.

We also enjoyed the pool and walks in the neighbourhood. Silvia was a perfect hostess - always responsive, cheerful and helpful. We arrived in Guarda on public transport and she collected us. We stayed in Paraiso which was spacious and comfortable. It's a Quinta, so a little quirky - you have to be open to that. We cooked most days and the kitchen was functional. There is a step across the room between kitchen and living room that tripped us both up a few times - not ideal for older people. This unit has no windows other than in the two doors which makes it delightfully cool in summer, but does limit the view. You have to venture outside for that :)
