A cheerful and airy Wetherspoons inside a Grade II listed building from 1904 that once housed one of the first purpose-built car factories in England (alas the factory closed in 1916). Large windows to provide natural light for factory workers do their job you as you sup a low cost pint or tuck into a low price meal. From 1919-1927 the Rodboro Boot and Shoe Company were in residence (hence the name of the building), while the 1930s brought a whole series of companies from printers to photography printing. WWII saw it mostly used to prepare ammunition. The 1950s including cricket sweater manufacture, the 1960s a dance school and various nightclubs… if these walks could talk! While the 1980s brought talk of demolishment, so English Heritage stepped in and gave the building the Grade II listing it deserves. If you found my review and photos useful or interesting please leave a thumbs up 👍 Thanks!

Are you kidding me? You served us RAW pizza. The crust was completely white, to which we gave the benefit of the doubt and tried anyway, maybe a different flour was used, but nope, it was straight up raw. Absolutely disgusting.

What happened the the music 😭. Other than this I've always had good food here and will always go back, the bouncers on the night was so helpful and friendly and need to be given an mention! staff was helpful when asking questions about drinks. They would have got a 5 star if the music/disco was still available

Visited here with my parents for breakfast, lots of choice for seating and there is seating outside as well. Everywhere was clean, toilets were clean as well which was great. We ordered a Vegetarian Breakfast, Traditional English Breakfast, 2 slices of toast with jam and 2 hash browns. The toast was cold as when it was served there was no butter or jam so we had to wait for that, the toast on the Vegetarian meal was cold and was missing the tomato that was supposed to be included, the baked beans were also not hot. The refillable hot drinks were great. Table was clean but all the seats had stains on, we swapped ours for others but they were still stained. So this branch has lost a star for part or the meal being cold and a star due to the stains

Food was good and the price superb. The beer seems to be well kept in all the the Weatherspoons I’ve been in - I see why so many people go to them - also open later than everyone else

Breakfast is good, coffee is good, prices are also good. :) The building is huge inside, so it’s very easy to find a comfortable place to sit. The staff is young and helpful! :)

I had a birthday and came with my children at 8 am . Nobody informed me that after 9 we could not stay with the children, no matters that the law says that the children could stay with parents. There is no any note that their licence does not allow children after 9pm. The manager told us that we had plenty of time (30 min) to eat and to go but their licence said that the children could stay if they are accompanied by adult. Obviously the manager did not read the own licence. Never come back there.

Stopped here for something to eat before heading to Brum....lovely place. Very spacious. Three levels if I recall correctly. For was delicious. Ordered from the app at the table and food arrived in good time. Staff that we saw were attentive to the right degree. Would definitely eat here again and recommend also.

This pub is very friendly and the staffs are very professional. They are kind and polite , easy to talk to. Any issues with food , they solve it quickly. Food is excellent. Management is very good what they do. We would like to refer friends and families to come here and spend their quality time at Wetherspoon. 😄

Another (3rd) excellent visit to this brilliant Wetherspoons. Probably the best we have been too, standing out as it is a great building, with multi floors, great staff as well as the usual excellent value. 99p for a guest ale!!! It cost me more than that to park for an hour!!! 10/10
