Highly basic in almost every sense of a modern airport. Give lots of time for check in security etc. There is a bar serving beer and soft drinks at the gate. Large beer 500 ml is 1500 cfa, small is 1000 cfa. Coffee and some soft drinks as well. You can pay in euro. So if your plane is delayed you're not left high and dry.

Typical African airport. Pray they don't bully you, pray they don't feel like picking on you for whatever stupid reason, pray your luggage reaches you, don't expect aircon or too much cleanliness and pretend you don't see them burning a hole through you with their eyes. Also, they make you wait under the sun for a bus which obviously takes only so many people at once, for a distance you could perfectly walk (see photo and vΓdeo) and get it over with. Exhausting... Also they always try to get money. Don't pay no corruption yall. Eventually they get tired of waiting and stalling you and they let you through.

When I arrived, I realized that the airport has only one carousel, and people stood all around it, which made it very difficult to see my luggage. I waited for about one hour before I saw my luggage. It was vey hot, and the air conditioning was switched on briefly. Guinea-Bissau needs a larger airport.

Don't pay bribes to either the immigration or security people. Just say no and stand there. They'll eventually give up their corrupt attempt and let you through. If you feel guilty there are many worthy NGOs to donate money to in Guinea-Bissau.

Very simple to locate from the town. A small airport compared to most airports in West Africa. I was even allowed into the airport to welcome my friend.

Very simple and basic airport. Checkin process is manual and it takes very long time to checkin. Luggage wrapping is available for cfa 2,500.

Basic airport easy to access. Taxis are waiting outside normally you shouldn't pay more than 5000 cfa to the center. We were charge 15000 cfa so beware of this. Staff are good and they didn't hassle me for anything. One improvement would be to have the immigration forms in English too.

It is a very small airport. There is only one boarding point, so there is no need to worry about getting lost.
