This fort is located right beside the port of Cacheu. It is strategically located with its arsenals facing all areas surrounding it. It has been used by the colonial masters as a fortress against other imperial masters.

We had a very nice tour through this fortress which obviously is a mini replica of the original without telling anyone. This place would have otherwise be conquered even by children in a few minutes. If you are bit taller you can basically jump over the walls. A bit sad.

I didn't hate this place... It was just locked up all day long... There's not much to do here, so if the only point of interest is closed 🙄🙄🙄
