It is a nice shopping experience if you have some change to spare. It is for the average and well to do in Bissau. The prices are fair and considerable.

Largest market in Bissau, fine for one stop shopping but very expensive and poor quality fruits and vegetables. Great selection of reasonably priced wine and beer and dry goods though.

It's excellent, compared to everything else in Guinea-Bissau.

This is Bissau's largest international supermarket that caters to foreign nationals and upper class locals. The staff are friendly and polite. You can get a wide range of products at a premium cost. Unfortunately, it is owned by foreign nationals and therefore does little to help the local economy.

Small mentality management. I was told I need to leave my purse at the entrance, new rules from the store since yesterday. I find so annoying the fact that they don’t trust their clients, but clients have to trust them with their belongs… I know it’s something common in some places, but not because something is common it should be “normal” or accepted …

Santy Commercial is an amazing supermarket with anything you can think of. Frozen foods, fruits, toiletries, liquor, soft drinks, perfumes, cooking utensils, wines, electronics etc. It's a one stop shop for any household items that comes to mind. And the prices are affordable.
