Been here since the 70s and still going strong even considering the numerous storms. Came out today (02.18.23) for a geocaching event to end all events.

I like this beach. There are fewer people here, clean sand. The Gulf State Park Pavilion has lots of restrooms. We were on a nice day, and the water was calm and clean. There were lots of seeshels in the sand but no garbage on the beach.

Beautiful pavilion, beautiful beaches. Bathrooms are available. Decent sized parking lot. If you are a veteran, go to the state park office and inquire about the parking pass! I think you have to show your DD214 or your driver's license that is marked "veteran" :)

Overcast winter day at the beach. We had the whole beach and parking area to ourselves. You need to pay for parking. However, if you are staying at Gulf State Park Campground, the parking fee is included in your daily pass. They have lots of stuff to do and a beach snack bar open during summer/spring/fall. Would be a great place to take family of all ages. Beach is clean . Beautiful white sand and aqua.

This is an amazing public access area. State Parks has done a great job with this facility.

We got lunch and decided to stop to eat which turned into walking out to the beach for a couple hours. I'm glad we did! The day after a storm brought lots of cool shells we were able to rummage through. Turns out the seagulls are tricksters who may try to steal your flip flop but they won't get very far with it but it's a funny site to see! They sure do like to eat so guard your sandwich!

Great facilities all around; pool, showers and bathrooms are well maintained and super clean. Trails are awesome! Beach is 3 minutes away and wasn't crowded. Will be a regular destination.

Quick beach trip to walk the beach and allow granddaughter time to play in waves. The comfort of an old friend never disappoints. Earliest memories is of at this exact spot loving the beach and waves. Nothing has changed but it has only gotten better. Clean showers. Private changing rooms and upkeep on boardwalks the best. Self paid parking and even participation in a impromptu wedding. GO. Take the kids,. Picking area covered and breezy...walkways sturdy and safe. Ocean view priceless.

We have been visiting this beach regularly this year due to not having adequate parking at others during tourist season. Enjoyed the snack bar hot dogs today as well!

What a nice beach with white sand. The water was perfect. It wasn’t too crowded, but we went at 3:30 pm. There also wasn’t a lot of seaweed.

Best state park in the country. $10 to park all day. Can come and go during the day and only pay once. We came back in the evening to watch the sun set.

A nice park with a large parking area. It does cost to park here. There are warm showers.

This was the site of my recent marathon, so I am only able to comment on the outdoor facility. Absolutely gorgeous park, beach, and trails - even at 6am. Well maintained and easy to hike, cycle, or sit and enjoy the views

We love this beach and surrounding area. Great for families. The boardwalk is awesome. Even saw a gator this time. Last year saw a sea turtle released back into the wild. The pavilion has decent bathrooms. The fishing pier down the way is lots of fun too.

Very clean and beautiful. It was $10 to park all day. Really nice to have a bathroom facility closeby. We found shells and I did see a shark in the water 😱. But this just reinforces how nicely kept this park is. There was even a frog hanging out right by the bathroom on the railing.

No matter what part of Gulf Shores i was at, they were all clean beaches and beautiful. Also every place there was parking, you're supposed to pay a certain amount of money with credit cards or cash into what an old style pay phone use to look like. They all use to be free to park and none of the parking lots has been renewed. From the last time I was there, everything looked the same.

It was super crowded, and bathrooms were wet and sandy, but that's to be expected in July at any public beach. Parking is also cheaper than at the parking lots used for the public beaches in downtown gulf shores. Was a great beach, has a boardwalk over the dunes. We were a little disappointed the snack bar was closed for some reason. They have a neat little bin by the boardwalk that says take a toy, leave a toy, I thought that was neat until my son tried to take a snorkel someone had left.

Awesome relaxing spot to spend and hour two or the whole day! Pavillion offers restrooms and covered seating with beach views. Boardwalk offers outside shower for sand removal! There is beach seats & umbrellas available for rental. Oversized shaded porch swings to sit, relax and feel the ocean breeze!

Great location! 2 lifeguard stands, bathrooms nearby, lots of seashells waste level inside the water. We were spread out enough we didn't feel to close to people and there were chairs for rent, but were kinda pricy, $40 for 2 with an umbrella, but they were wood, adjustable, table in-between, and very thick cushion on top. We will come back here.

Absolutely beautiful beach, if you'd like to dip your toes in the ocean this is a great place to do it. We'll maintained parking lots, no litter to be seen. Same goes for the beach and paths. Nothing to say about concession stand as they were closed during my visit, cocktails are expensive was what I noticed looking at the menu board. Only point against the place is their bathroom maintenance, I wasn't able to tell the difference between urine and ocean water near toilets and urinals. Take flip flops to the shower rooms, you won't regret that decision. The last entry on the cleaning log was 8/23 and I visited on 4/25 this year.
