Such a fun atmosphere. Live music was great. Food and drink are great. In house announcer was phenomenal. Definitely check it out if In the area! Parking is $20 but then can get $20 off in gift shop. Probably have to park across street in overflow.

Had an awesome time here! The food was pretty good, but the price was a bit high. We all really enjoyed the entertainment. My son was thrilled and smiled non-stop as they got him to dance on top of the table for his birthday. Then the kids went outside and had a blast in the foam. Good drinks and lots to do outside. A band usually plays at night. The parking is $20, but we easy found a place to park near by for free. You can also easily walk in from the beach.

Open air, loud and party atmosphere. Panoramic views of the beach and a big open dining room with plenty of seating and a Best Buy load of TVs. We ordered the pimento cheese dip and it was the best part of our meal. The Wagyu Beef Burger was forgettable. Enclosed in a day old bun. It was cooked properly though. The Hangout Cesar with Blackened Salmon was average. We did not finish our meals but had no desire to bring any of it back home. Our server Ron was absolutely on point and his service and attention was second to none. BRAVO Ron. The Hangout is clearly geared to a party, big frozen adult beverage crowd. That’s fine if that’s your thing. Come expecting loud Fat Tuesday like environment. Don’t expect much from the food and you’ll be satisfied.

Fun place, famous for calling out diners to dance on tables. They often have live music. The food is amazing, the drinks are deceptively strong, and the service is top notch. I really like how certain dishes come with a souvenir, like the lifeguard burger comes with a whistle (although they did run out, so I didn't get one).

Our first time here, and it was amazing! The view is absolutely the best! I got the pork nachos which are listed as an appetizer, but I got it as a meal. It was HUGE and way more than I could eat. And really good! Hubby got shrimp and said it was very good. It was late afternoon so not busy at all. Open air seating which I love and they have the biggest ceiling fan I've ever seen in my life! Highly recommend!

Beautiful building . Lots of open areas with views of gulf. Our waitress Hali was really really awesome. Kudos to her. My daughter wanted the snow crab appetizer for meal . It normally comes out cold . She went to kitchen too see of they could serve it warm . Really awesome. I ordered the grouper po boy fried . It was excellent. Cooked to perfection

Interesting experience for sure. Food was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was crazy wild, but Fun. Dancing on chairs and tables. 😆 Mary was an excellent waitress. Phenomenal, top notch! Loved all the outside activities, until I was approached by a big security guard who singled me out of our group of 8 and asked for only my ID. Then proceeded to touch my arm without permission. Very odd and uncalled for. Not to mention I had my two teenage daughters with me, so I just don't believe he actually thought I was underage 🤷🏽‍♀️ my husband definitely did not appreciate it. However we didn't let it ruin the evening.

I have never been to a place like this before. The atmosphere was incredible! They had people dancing, both on the ground and their tables, they had live music, a gift really cool gift shop, the decorations were awesome! I can’t say enough good things about this place. I wish we had gone more times. The food. Was. Amazing! We ordered the chicken nachos and fried pickles for an appetizer. Both incredible! We also got the Shaka sauce and I dipped the nachos in it. Highly recommend! My husband just got a cheeseburger for dinner but said it was amazing! I ordered the shrimp and it came with so much food! Dining in here was definitely an experience. An experience that everyone should have in their lives!

We had a party of 5 and was seated right away. Awesome, fun atmosphere. Live music. Server took our drink order immediately. I know everytime I come to Gulf Shores this is my place! The food was incredibly delicious! I loved everything about this place! I loved the band. They played a variety of music and got the crowd up and jumping. This was such a fun place! A must do for all when your in Gulf Shores!

This was my first time at The Hangout. We waited for about 10 minutes before we were seated. Our food was quick and DELICIOUS!!! I recommend The Lifeguard burger.....AMAZING!!! There is so much to do here, the live music was wonderful, and the interactive singing and dancing at the tables is fun for kids and adults. This is by far my favorite place in Gulf Shores now!!

DJ is excellent as were the wait staff. We had 2 tables with 22 people and our waitress Amanda was outstanding. She had help bringing dishes out, but took all of the drink, appetizer and food orders. Everything was served promptly, everything was hot and we all could not have been more pleased. The menu options were good as was meal prep. I highly recommend this place for a fun & relaxing time with good food and drinks. Margaritas were EXCELLENT.

This was a great choice even though it looked like a tourist trap. The food was excellent- my Cobb Salad with Blackened Shrimp was one of the best meals I’ve had on this trip. Kids popcorn shrimp was a hit- served in a popcorn bag, when you poor it out you find fried shrimp, fries and popcorn! Burger and chicken tenders were also good. Only drawbacks were 1 no brewed ice tea (only fountain 👎) and 2 the music was a bit too loud. The kids sand play area let the adults have a conversation and the children got to run and play. The bubble party (every hour on the hour) was a hit too. Just come in clothes that can get rinsed later. Yard games too. Parking was $20, but you got a voucher for souvenir store also worth $20 so super worth it. Parking is a premium in gulf shores so this was really handy. We went down to the beach after lunch and enjoyed time in the water. Easy access and rinsing stations. After the beach we popped back into the Hangout and bought gelato. What a great idea. It seemed a bit pricey but was really good.

It's a pricey tourist trap. The food was okay. For the price I expected better. I asked for my burger done, and it was still pink (not pictured). Anyways, it was worth going once. The drinks are weak. I probably won't be back. I loved the atmosphere. It was fun for a minute, lol.

I went to The Hangout on a Friday afternoon for lunch with a view. This place was a total vibe. At the time I went, it wasn’t crowded, the ambiance was pleasant, there was a mixed of gatherings from family, friend and solo like me. The food (I had the Alabama Cobb) was amazing and the service was superb - Cory was lively, very helpful, and a pure delight. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We enjoyed lunch here on a Saturday. It wasn’t overly busy and we’re seated without a wait. There is a 20$ parking fee. They do give a ticket to be able to use 20$ towards a purchase in the gift shop. If you’re going there to enjoy lunch and beach or the live music later in the day it’s not a bad idea to use the parking, but just for lunch find alternate parking. The food came out extremely fast so if you’re in a hurry or want to get to the beach quickly, they did a good job getting us in and out. We had snapper po boys which were a little in the dry side. Also had crab legs which were seasoned well and had quite a bit of butter or oil on them. Definitely needed plenty of napkins. The atmosphere is as enjoyable and was the DJ had just come out so I’m sure it was about to get better! The gift shop had lots of souvenirs labeled with “The Hangout”,- there actually wasn’t much that didn’t have it. We enjoyed our visit and would go back.

Our family enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere for our first time at the Hangout. My only complaint is the parking. Being from out of town and not knowing better, our family pulled into a spot, only to be yelled at by a server from her car behind me, telling me I was in the workers spot. I looked and did not see any signage indicating such. Not knowing any better, I pulled out of the spot to realize she has coaxed me out of my spot so she had a spot. It made our whole experience have a negative feeling towards it. After finding the only spot we could find, we finished our meal and came out to find a $25 ticket on our vehicle for parking in the only parking available. I feel like the Hangout should pay my ticket for their worker conning me out of my spot. Food was good, environment was good, our server was good. Parking was difficult. Lots to check out. The foam party, bungee jump, and lots of things to do while hanging around. Including an ice cream shop!

Must stop. One of the best dining experiences with the whole family ever. Don’t want to ruin the surprise but dancing mid meal was amazing. Service was spectacular. We had Meagan P. And she was great with our kids and super fast and always smiling. This stop made the trip. Thank you to The Hangoutz

This place is awesome 👌🏾. I was in town on vacation and stopped in for a quick bite. First time here and definitely won't be the last. We went around 9 pm and the wait time was like 10 minutes. Our waiter (Dee Money lol) was awesome, very kind and friendly. This place is for all different age groups and family friendly. There was a gift shop and band playing outside. The food was delicious it tasted just like home. You do have to pay for parking since its located on the beach. 10 out of 10 ⭐️

The food was pretty good, but the views were FANTASTIC!! We were able to sit out on the patio and got fresh air while eating. The entertainment was fun, Ashley H was our waitress. She was awesome! She came and danced with our little girl and made our whole experience really fun!! The Hangout is definitely a staple visit while visiting Gulf Shores!! The foam parties are so fun too!!

Very crowded but fun spot. Right on the beach with lots of room. I thought the drinks were very good, I got the Blood Orange Paloma which was perfect. It's a bit chaotic there, but you are supposed to see the host to be seated, look for the big neon "Host" sign. There is parking, but it's limited. A lot of people walk there from the beach, but if you are lucky you can get a spot and not have to pay you pull in from the road going East on Beach Blvd. We got chicken fingers, burgers and fried shrimp, it was all good.

We went due to the amount of hype of this place. We were disappointed. It is more for the atmosphere place. Our food was not the best. The pimento cheese appetizer was good, however. I’m not sure if it was because we were there towards closing but the pulled pork on the nachos was in-edible.

First off if your unfamiliar with the place was we were coming in your lost on where to go. Once you make it to the restaurant entrance you'll be looking for the big hostess sign hanging from the ceiling. It's on the opposite side of the building. Food was decent. Definitely a happening place. I had no idea I'd be standing on my table dancing because my birthday was coming soon. For sure a good place to visit while in town.

Ordered the 1/2 pound Crab appetizer for $20 it came out freezing cold. They said that they could not steam it, even though they have a steamed crab option on the menu for the full-pound crab. Just wondering why if they can steam a full pound of crab why they cannot steam a half pound? It makes absolutely no sense. I sent it back. The best part however of this place is the view of the beach, but I guess I can find a restaurant on the beach that can provide steamed crab. So, probably won't come back here. If you like freezing cold crab, then you will like their crab here. The Salmon was bland and on a bland bed of rice it was not grilled and tasted freezer burnt not fresh. The vegtables included broccoli and peppers were cold and over cooked. The calamari was pretty decent. Save your money for better seafood at other places. I would put 2 stars but I really like the atmosphere. It may be a good place for drinks, but not to eat.

Service was good. Atmosphere good. Drinks very average. Now on food... portions are large ..but the quality is not very good. Hot wings were over done and dry. Nachos consisted of dry cheese and beans. So what you get for the money (and it's a bit expensive) is large portions.

The food and service were amazing! We went on a Friday night there was live music and a party atmosphere. We were seated in a room along the outside wall with garage doors they opened up at sunset. The pork nachos and lifegaurd burger were so good neither of us could finish our meals. My only note is if you order a frozen drink there is minimal alcohol in it unless you pay for the floater up charge.

This place is great, but even more impressive is Dustin. He is super polite, very attentive, you can tell he really loves his job and wants customers to have a great time. I wish more places had guys like Dustin. He just made it that much better. You definitely have a winner on your team and I know he is going to go far in life! Happy to have met him!

This place is absolutely awesome with a killer atmosphere!!! While it is kids friendly, I'd recommend this being an adults only thing to do as there are several bars outside and inside as well as one inside. Awesome drinks and they do have live bands and if you walk out the back entrance, you are on the beach. So after dinner and drinks you can take a nice quiet stroll on the beach at night and hunt for tiny crabs and a few shells. Only way this place could be better is if they had more parking and food was a little cheaper.

Alissa was terrific!! Had a great time. Great food. Great drinks. Loved all the suggestions Alissa made and her food/drink recommendations. I’d come back just have her wait on our table again. Felt welcomed here. Try the margaritas and Shark Attacks.
