First off, I don’t like leaving bad reviews for any business. But I have to for this. This was the absolute worst lodging experience I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve stayed at several motel 6 over the last decade or so and never encountered anything like this. It was a one night stay, traveling through. So just a place to take a shower and sleep. It didn’t even measure up to that! The room was disgusting. There was a mound of hair stuck to the shower wall that was very long. The floors were filthy. No trashcans. The room was non smoking, however it reeked of strong stale cigarettes. The bed was listed as a queen online, and I’m certain it was a double. I had a migraine the next day all day long due to the allergies & horrible smell I dealt with all night. Please, just book somewhere else because I’m not exaggerating.

You get what you pay for.... we stayed here because it was pet friendly and that's all the good I can say. The room was tiny, dirty, and dated. They did not even have a real blanket on the "queen" bed. The bed was not queen size but full and I had to have my room key reprogrammed twice. The bathroom was nasty. I will sleep in the bed of my truck before I stay here again.

This room was absolutely the worst I have ever stayed in. It was filthy, the air conditioner was unplugged which allowed for condensation on the floor beds shelves and everywhere else. It took several minutes for the room to dry out. I also had to get to my room by crossing paths with several people smoking terribly smelly cigarettes everywhere. Not the hotel's fault but geez louise! I wish people would have some consideration for other people's health! Back to the room, it had no toilet paper and the walls had several scrape marks on them the TV was hung crooked and the plug where the air conditioner unit was broken and unsafe. Just basically filth. Would never stay at this one again.

I stay here every night of the week except the nights I have off. I love the front desk staff especially the morning clerk I forget her name, but she is a great person. I go down every morning and get my key remade and she is always nice and we talk for a while.

Desk clerk was nice. Great location. HORRIBLE room!! For $110, I should have had a microwave and mini fridge. Floors were filthy. Tub, toilet, and sink/counter was so dirty. If I didn't have bathroom cleaner wipes, Lysol wipes, and a mini broom/dust pan and SOOOO tired, I would have cut up for my money back and left.ishould have paid the extra 20$ and went to Red Roof Inn. NEVER again!

Shower didn’t drain so I ended up standing in several inches of water, which was funky. There was a roach. Then I pulled up the bed covers and found a single bed bug in both beds. I showed the staff a video of the bed bug moving. They said the manager would get back to me. I called and door to the manager, who said he would get back to me after the insect guy inspected the place. I never heard back. There’s a reason this place is cheap.

I wouldn't give this place a star at all! Desk clerks are rude and dont care. I asked for no smoking rooms and the rooms I've received smelled like they smoked EVERYTHING in there. Then the clerk says they can't stop anyone for smoking in the rooms. After fussing they did spray some kind of neutralize so smoke was gone. Asked for towels the next day they claim there wasn't ready, left for hours and still no clean towels. The sad part is they ask customers to walk into the laundry and see if some ready, thats they job to do. I went brought towels just to bath. The night clerk brought me towels after 10pm which now I've had use for them. I told him I had to buy some, he promised a $25 refund that I never received. I checked out a day early. I was over the nasty and rude staff.

How they get 3 stars is beyond me. When I reserved the room, it was on hotels.com and the hotel was called Gulfport Inn. Had it been listed as a motel 6, I would have skipped it. First of all, you know how they say we will leave the light on for you? The light was burned out. App said we could check in as late as 3am. Office closes at 11pm and nobody will give you your room! Money is just gone. The girl at the desk takes NO responsibility for squat. The girl just says she will leave a note for them.. She told me I had to sign some form that you can barely read. Surprise $50 deposit despite prepaying for the room on my card.. The front door looks like someone took a hammer to it. BAD neighborhood. Let's talk about the room. The place is more than half empty and she put us in a room right next to another guest. The floors were gross. My feet were sticking to them. There's only 3 towels for 2 adults. No hand towels. No soap, no shampoo, NO TRASH CAN, no ice bucket, no coffee pot, no breakfast,, no fridge,, no microwave, heater/air conditioner doesn't work. On the tiny TV, only a couple channels came in. The rest were a mess. How does that even happen with cable?!?!?!? This place is horrible!

I see y this is a 2 star hotel, horrible employees, went to office to check in and the lady working there was extremely rude, went to the office door and it was locked, with employee sitting a her car, I waited for a few minutes just for her to finally stick her head out of the car and tell me very rudely that they didn't have any rooms ready, because housekeeping hadn't cleaned any, and this was 2:30 in the evening. Management should check into their employees and find out exactly what they r doing on the clock, because they definitely are not working. Horrible hotel, I wouldn't recommend anybody stay at this hotel

The rooms are musty. The door to the first room didn't close tightly. The bathroom doors do not latch. The side of the bed fell on my husband's ankle, scraping it. We asked for a change of rooms. The second was not better. There were bugs on the bed. We were planning a 3 night stay. We changed hotels -- no refund for the one night we did not stay. The refund for the remaining days won't be back in our account for 8 to 10 work days. Oh well, a one night vacation can be fun.

I gave this rat hole a star only to write the review…DO NOT STAY HERE!! It’s awful and the staff was rude. No exaggerating, the room was like a closet with a queen sized bed. No chairs, poor lighting, no place to hang clothes and filthy. Check in is at 3pm but we had to wait until 3:30! And if you value your life, note that there wasn’t a safety lock on the door. It was very noisy past midnight because the staff had what was apparently a pool party. The front desk is supposed to be open 24/7, however, we couldn’t get in touch with an attendant until 9am! We couldn’t get out of there fast enough!!!

This stay was HORRIBLE. Firstly when we arrived the lady at the front desk had an attitude off jump. After paying 300 dollars I would think we would get amazing service and an awesome stay i was wrong. We had no house keeping we had to go get our towels from the front office half if the time no one was in there we had to wait on someone to come. This was by far the worst vacation stay ever. Wish I could give it no stars.

My name is Katie Alexander and I have stayed at Motel 6 in Gulfport, Ms on Airport Road for some time now. All of the staff are extremely polite, prompt and know what they are doing. Chartell is one of the employees that have been there for a long period of time. Every encounter I have had with her has been nothing but pleasant and full of love and laughter. She is beyond what customer service is and should be about. If she can't fix a problem, she doesn't stop until it is resolved. She is always smiling, laughing and in the best of mood. She is great addition to the Motel 6 family. My stay there has been more than pleasant, and she is one of the reasons for that.

They (MOTEL 6 STAFF AND CREW) definitely have some growing that needs to be done. Room was clean to regular standards but the bathroom has roaches inside of the light covers. Also staff was very passive aggressive with me. Handed her a card and she SAT it down instead of handing it back to me... Went to warm my food up because they don't have microwaves in the rooms (which in my opinion is understandable these days) and they got the lobby locked so that the 1 person working behind the counter can smoke a cigarette. LOL the service is so poor that it's hilarious.

Jade at the front desk was incredibly helpful. Expedia (NEVER BOOK WITH THEM) was giving the motel hell over my reservation and ended up shorting them by $10 and over charging me by $10 (feels like fraud to me but I’m not an expert). Jade handled the whole thing (about an hour on the phone on her part) with grace and was extremely kind despite the circles Expedia was running us in. Thank you Jade! The room was very clean, bed was comfy, great stay for what you’re paying.

it was okay ish. a lot of people walking around at night making noises. the room we booked for 2 nights was very small and the rooms reeked of smoke. there was a burn hole in the bed sheets also. the floors are very dirty, i would walk around the floor with no shoes or socks on and i would get things all on my feet. only one pillow for each side. they’re kind of small and flat, would recommend to being an extra pillow or 2. the staff was okay as well but very slow. i wouldn’t stay in this hotel again but it’s fine for a one night stay.

I can not give it a zero, or I would.. first night I was locked out of my room because they locked me out. I couldn't even check in because they close the front desk.. I had to get a new room at the amazing super 8 next door. Then my second room had no working TV. Got moved to a 3rd room. Lights were all broken and didn't work. I'm still waiting for a trash can. And I couldn't take any of my clothes home with me.on the flight. The roaches were so bad. On my last day, there was no internet. None. They did nothing to fix it. Then it rained.. and my floor and bed were covered in over a hundred roaches.. I had to go outside. It's now 430 am. I haven't slept at all. I'm waiting for my ride to the airport. And I hope I never see this place again. I took 7 showers today cuz roaches were on me

Milieu around our room was dangerous: There were half a dozen or more people running around outside our door, yelling at each other. When my husband complained, he was told by the desk clerk that the same people would steal his gas at night; the desk clerk also said they would get drunk and drive around the parking lot, possibly wrecking our vehicle. As soon as we heard this, we removed our belongings. There was no security guard. Desk clerk was surly: When I went to check out, both doors to the motel office were locked. I knocked to gain attention, and the desk clerk got out of a car parked nearby. When she unlocked the door, I gave her our keys and told her we were leaving. Her response was, “You’ll have to call Expedia. You’ll have to call Expedia. It was prepaid.” She offered no other suggestions. Indeed, we had prepaid for two nights. Since we never unpacked and stayed less than half an hour, I requested a refund. However, after many phone calls, I got a refund. Nothing for the second night, but for the first night, $45.40--for a room that cost more than $100 per night.

First off as soon as we got in the room I seen roaches and the bathroom smelled like mildew. People outside yelling and screaming all night and had loud music on at 1 in the morning. Floors were really dirty and there was no microwave or mini fridge. Rooms were really small also.

Clean rooms, great service staff & professional demeanor. My only complaint is the lack of ice machine, lack of in-room refrigerator, lack of shampoo and conditioner, and failure to provide more than one small cup of coffee in the morning. Despite all this, it's a great location, central to shopping, dining and the regional airport. Rooms were clean, albeit loud and unchecked neighbor.

I am so please with this hotel they are a life saver. I am traveling with my pets and they are awesome. No words to explain how great they made my family feel. Words of praise to Jade and charolette The rooms smell so good and they are clean. The hospitality of these two ladies were amazing given my situation. If allowed I will definitely be back. I love sleeping in a cold room and I definitely can say the AC works in the room.

RATE 0 STARS JUST WOULDNT LET ME POST WITHOUT RATING!! …My stay was horrible the smell of the room was awful. The toilet had no toilet seat and the tub had cigarette burns all on it (It was a no smoking room) The floors in the room were so greasy and nasty they had a burn mark on the wall and left residue on the floor by it. Bathroom door was broken. It was an uncomfortable place. Couldn’t even chnage the tv channels!! The Women in the office was rude & lied about having room downstairs and said that this room was the last room called and told them about the problems with the room she happened to magically have another room when that one was supposed to be the “last room” I was ask to write a list of the problems with the room but they should know how their room looks when letting donor book and just giving them a room!! Me personally I think the hotel should be remodeled. PHOTOS WHEN U PRESS REVIEW.

Very disappointed. Rooms were very small. Reeked of Marijuana throughout the complex. Rundown. Yelling, arguing and profanity from other guests. I would not encourage anyone to stay there.

  • 2/5 Gustav M. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is basically a shanty town... lots of people smoking weed in the rooms and randomly sitting in cars in the parking lot. Not a good family motel. The TV didn't work (it was busted), drywall was busted and poorly repaired... side of the bathtub had numerous burn marks where someone would sit and chain smoke without an ashtray. The front-desk lady was very nice. I didn't let her know about my complaints because I'm sure she has to deal with enough drama there as it is. The room was $75/night... I know that's relatively cheap but it's worth closer to $40 after tax, imo.

  • 1/5 Florida M. 10 months ago on Google
Very sketchy. Booked online. Cheap place to stay for one night. As I drove in there were six people on the balcony checking out everyone driving in. All the cars in the parking lot were beat up. Not well lit. More people walking around the parking lot. Drove around the hotel twice. Counted four cars with broken windows. Decided not to check in. Called and let them know. Still paid for the room. Was afraid my car would get broken into. Took a room down the road. We felt much safer.

Thankfully got a full refund since 5 minutes in the room was all we needed to decide not to stay. The refund process was more of a hassle than it needed to be, though. The lady at the front desk was full of attitude while I was completely polite and even apologetic the entire time. I understood that it's not really her fault that the room reeked of cigarette smoke, but she had absolutely no understanding for the fact that I'm allergic to cigarettes. The room was advertised as non smoking, but because of the visible gap between the door and the door frame and the people constantly smoking just outside their rooms, the entire room reeked of cigarettes. Those gaps in the door also meant we could hear every word of their phone conversations. Didn't feel private at all. Also, some people obviously did not abide by the rules considering there were cigarette burns all over the tub. This part is probably just my own oversight in the booking process, but I was surprised that the room was so tiny and that there was no fridge or microwave in the room. Every other location I've seen has had a much larger room and always had a fridge and microwave. I should have been suspicious at the super low price point, but I figured I'd give this place a try since I'd had good experiences at other Motel 6 locations in other cities. Guess now I know not to bother with this one. It's really too bad it didn't work out considering I was really excited about the boiled peanuts in the lobby... lol. Oh well, can always buy them by the can at Winn Dixie, then heat them up myself in a room that actually has a microwave.

  • 1/5 Christine D. 10 months ago on Google
The walk up price was $70.99 which was fine. When I got in the room the curtains had stains the sheet under the sheet had stains. There were dead bugs on the floor. Then there were tiny mosquitoes, in everything. The molding around the tub was rotting, cigarette burn on toilet, tub. I have pictures of everything. The worst part about I couldn't trust putting my bags on the floor for fear that something would crawl in. Granted I checked in at 330am but I checked out way early and was totally dissatisfied. One of the people staying there asked how did you like your stay? I said I had a cat nap. I would never stay there again. It's just unconscionable to allow people to pay $70 for filth. I will contact corporate about this sense it was like a congregation of people there that was more important to talk to than to take my card to return for the room. Everyone was polite but polite doesn't cut it for the conditions of the room ans the baby roaches i saw. I don't have bugs at home and I definitely don't want to pay for them elsewhere

Rooms are a little small however the room was extremely clean!! Use caution when walking in the floor is so clean it’s slick 😂. I was worried at first but don’t let the outside fool you the interior is immaculate. Check in was very quick and the young ladies at the front desk were amazing love the energy they were putting out! Will definitely stay again

We paid the bill for 7 nights. The woman at the front desk made us leave before our time was up. She has been rude and making up rules as she goes. I don't recommend this place if you are white.

My stay was horrible. The rooms were small, the beds uncomfortable felt like I was sleeping on the floor. People hanging around in the parking lot being loud. Went to get something to eat returned to room key not working. Was locked out of room for about 30 to 40 minutes until clerk finally showed up after I walked the premises looking for her. The people hanging out in room say she probably was in her room like 12:30 in the day really. When I told her my keys wasn't working she acted so unconcerned, didn't act concerned at all. I suppose to stayed 2 nights but I only stayed 1 night. Very uncomfortable with service and security. Lost money. I hope they do better or get more concerned and be more friendly.

Non smoking room smelled like smoke as soon as we opened the door. This hotel needs to be torn down. No fridge, burn holes in the cover & on the tub. Never stay here. At least the clerk was nice & accommodating. People who stay in hotels are very inconsiderate about being quiet. They talk loud & slam doors late at night. This hotel has been scratched off my list

Upon making my reservation I was very skeptical on deciding if I wanted to stay here…. But I decided to give it a try 1st I called and asked prices and the customer services over the phone was nothing but southern hospitality the accent was different so was unsure if I called the right place but once I arrived her voice sound just like her over the phone and she was caring and made sure to accommodate and Chantel made sure to make me and my family felt safe and at home she also waived early check in fee which was a blessings because I didn’t want to wait til 3 to check in so with that being said I will be back clean rooms no pest and surrounded by everything good location and great staff

Basically you get what you pay for!!! We got a room after midnight so we took showers and went to bed. Woke up around 4 and saw roaches big and small. When we got up to leave looked on the floor there was some type of pill on the floor and I was really able to see the room was not really cleaned that well. I called the front desk from my cell phone because the phone they had in there was just for decoration for a manager to come to the room so I could show them some things and I was told just take a picture and bring it to them. When we checked in the person that was there was friendly and helpful but that morning when we was leaving she was very unprofessional. If you just trying to crash for the night or want just a little get away pay a little more money and go some where else!!! Motel 6 on hwy 49 Gulfport has gotten so sorry
