This review is long overdue! The staff here is awesome, they feel like your brothers and sisters. They’re courteous, professional and really down to earth. They are familiar with the area so know all of your needs in terms of where to go. Overall, I loved this outfitter and actually stayed a bit ( masked and 6 feet away) just to talk, joke and laugh. You will literally love the staff. Their equipment was top notch and totally reasonable regarding price. Long review and I rarely do reviews...so trust in that they are amazing! Thanks to them all. Such an amazing place to visit. They treat you like family here. I will fly from Baltimore to Colorado just to visit them and have them set me up an adventure. Braden is so friendly and knowledgeable about skateboarding, snowboarding, dirt biking and anything else you want to do. Fun for the whole family at any age group.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience from Wheelies and Waves in Gunnison. The tributary tomcat tandem kayak was in great shape, and we received helpful river beta for a thrilling trip from Almont to Gunnison Whitewater Park. Rental fee was on the lower end of what I've seen at other outfitters. Give them a visit and get on the river!!

We had THE best time playing at the Blue Mesa Reservoir with our rented paddle boards. You guys rock!! Exceptional customer service by Mike— you crush, keep up the good work! Make sure you call ahead for rentals because they do book up and sell out! Much love!!

The only place you should consider when renting SUPs in the Gunnison Valley! They not only provide great service and quality products, they also support organizations in the community. Highly recommend Wheelies and Waves.

Had the BEST time with 9 girls! It was slightly chilly but it did not matter, we forgot about the weather as soon as we got on the river! Gorgeous scenery and a fun time!
