Driving up from the south, I think this is an ideal parking spot for exploring the northern portion of the Des Plaines River Trail because it is just off US 41. There isn't much here, just a small parking lot and a couple of picnicking tables, but it serves its purpose well.

Great place to access the DPRT. This is at mile marker 9. Sufficient parking, but no water or bathrooms.

Nice southbound starting point if you want to avoid the boring ride along the railroad tracks to the immediate north.
