Had our office Christmas party there in a private room last night and had an amazing experience. I booked with Brad in October He was fantastic to deal with and so incredibly helpful and kind. When I got there he made sure to check in with me to see if the room was to my satisfaction(beautifully decorated) and made sure to let me know he was there all night if I needed anything. .I wish I knew the name of the server we had because he was top notch!!! We were a party of 15 and he kept up with the drinks during our cocktail and appetizer ( calamari, shrimp cocktail the size of small children and the bruschetta were amazing) hour like a champ. When we finally settled into our seats he made sure everyone was comfortable had time to look over the menu and took our orders perfectly. The food did not take long to come out for a big group and was made to perfection. Everyone loved the meals they chose from the full menu. Desserts were ordered and again delicious. The fact that the restaurant had pretty much closed by the time WE decided to leave and were not rushed at all was also fantastic. Thank you for helping make this one of the best Christmas party’s I’ve ever been to. I would highly recommend giving them a shot for your function.

I've waited about 10 years to return and give this steakhouse a second chance, and I'm glad I came back! The service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere was that of a comfortable steakhouse without feeling too stuffy. The whole meal was completely on point; my ribeye steak was perfect, my soup delicious as was the salad and bread. The wine list is a bit light on the red side, but good selection nonetheless.

Well since I started another job up north close to Gurnee working in my usual field of drafting I was invited to a farewell party to a coworker who's worked there for so many years and they took him to the best. Surprisingly they took me to the best because we got to order whatever we had despite that this was a work-related and not on my own accord but I will be coming back here on my own accord. Beware the prices are somewhat high for steak but then again it makes it for the quality since I've never been here and it's my first time trying Steven's steakhouse in a very low-key area next to Great America on Washington Street buy a strip plaza I was familiar with when I used to do my college meetups up here long ago in mid-2000s and a few times in the 90s traveling to Waukegan Gurnee area. Anyways the food is fabulous. Starting off with the coconut shrimp that I was even thinking that everybody else was stinking. The shrimp was just the right size the batter that it was made in was just the amount that was not to full of batter likewise with the coconut the sauce that they use. The calamari was also delicious too they didn't also bread too much or batter too much over the squid and they gave you two choices of sauce which was actually pretty good. There is a lot of very good dishes I wanted that day between lamb chops and the steak since I haven't had steak for a while at a steakhouse and this place didn't disappoint. I ordered the 11 oz New York strip medium rare and I had a choice of sides I went for a more healthier approach avoiding carbs by eating a broccoli and the way they cook the broccoli was not to hot and moist. If not soggy. I ended my pallet with a dessert I haven't had which is creme brulee which was also very delicious the caramelization on the custard was just the right amount on the surface and the right amount of fruits they put on the creme brulee. I will be going back on my own to trying the lamb chops. As well as the beef wellington that my coworkers had mentioned about here and I'm not a big fan of beef Wellington. Do note to people that the prices are somewhat pricey it's like over $20 for each entree the main entree and like the appetizers are over $15 from what I saw briefly despite displaying the menu on my review. A underrated steakhouse in the Northern lake county suburbs that needs to get the hype.

We were celebrating our son's birthday. 3 of our party ordered the beef Wellington. 2 of the Wellingtons arrived as expected. My son's wellington was rare. Nearly blue. After our meal, he became violently ill. Projectile vomit and dehydrated all night and drained the next day. The GM was apologetic and graciously offered to have my son back for another meal. He agreed. The second meal my son was served spoiled lobster. The smell of ammonia coming from the lobster was so potent that everyone at the table could smell it once it was placed on the table We asked our waiter to smell it and the face he made after was priceless! The consistency of the lobster was cottage cheese. When we told the GM that sadly, we would not be coming back, he replied "frankly, I wouldn't either." That speaks volumes. The wait staff is fantastic and the bread is pretty fabulous. I hate to give negative reviews, but after dropping $500 for our family meals, one would expect a little more. Very good food. Although it's known for steaks I had the chicken piccata plate with pasta. Big portion, had left overs. Calamari appetizer was ok...tentacles delicious but the rings were huge, a bit too big for my liking but cooked perfectly. Wedge salad ...perfect and delicious. Choc Mouuse for dessert, Big healthy slice Next time I go I will get a steak

After many visits and finding out this may be consistently the best restaurant we visit in Lake County IL. I had to share how good it really is. We enjoy the over whelming friendliness and great service from the employees. The food is as good as establishments that charge double the prices. Pictured are Clams Casino and Grilled Calamari appetizers that are made to perfection. Next would be Leslie's Salmon always perfectly cooked and delicious and my wife favorite Salmon dinner. I also have the Beef Wellington which is superb and on the menu every day. Last nights special was Halibut cooked in a paper bag which was perfect. Last pictured are one of my favorites The New York Strip Steak which may be the most favorable I have ever had and the best of over 15 restaurants I compared it against. Last would be the nut crusted Red Snapper which is a large portion and very tasty. They have live music in the bar most Friday nights and the bar staff is amazing the drinks are strong and very reasonable as well. This place is a treat to go to!

Excellent lamb Chops. Good selection of bourbons. Bacon-wrapped scallops quite good as well. A short but good wine list. Vibe is fine but service is above average.

Nice place. Very busy restaurant and bar. Live acoustic music by the bar when we were there. Our server Nicholas was great. The oysters, coconut shrimp and calamari appetizers were outstanding. Crab Brie soup was delicious. Main dishes were ok. The Ahi Tuna was done nicely but was not the high quality I expected. The asparagus were perfectly done. The chicken in the Chicken Piccata was bland with an off texture. House PG wine was great. The cheesecake was awesome!

This place is AMAZING!!! I had beef wellington. The pastry was cooked to perfection. The duxelle was so flavorful and the .eat was cooked perfectly. It was so tender and delicious!!! The crab brie soup was creamy, crabby and so tasty. YUM!!! My stepson had the bone in ribeye. He ate the entire 20 oz steak as it was so good. His fiance had the seared ahi dinner and said it was the best she has ever had. Pur server was excellent.... always available whenever we needed anything but not hovering to annoyance... truly am art!! We had a very nice bottle of wine to go with the meal. I wish they had a location in Southern California. Definitely want to go again when I'm back in Chicago.

Just celebrated my wife's birthday on Saturday with a whole group of us in their banquet room. It was an amazing event. Their food and service is always awesome but Brad and Lupe took it to a whole new level. We were there for over three hours and everything was done to perfection. Stevens' is a jewel because of the amazing leadership and staff and their commitment to excellence.

Absolutely wonderful meal. Service by Colin was fantastic. He made great suggestions and gave us his attention and friendly service. We sat on the spacious patio. Cosmo and brandy old fashion were perfectly made. Appetizer to share was the special of lobster stuffed portobello with artichokes and sauce. Lots of lobster and amazing taste. Wedge salad was shared. Nice amount of bacon on side. Hot moist bread was good. Sea bass was soft and moist over spinach. A must order. Salmon special over pasta with vodka cream sauce was tasty and substantial. Huge piece of moist chocolate cake for dessert was enough to share and take home. Cappuccino was good too. We will return! Thanks to Colin for a special evening!

After experiencing an expensive dining catastrophe at The Chocolate Sanctuary, my husband and I decided to come to Steven's to have a couple of cocktails in order to process what in tarnation just happened at the other "fine" dine location. We will definitely be back to dine in! Our bartender was phenomenal, and all the food looked amazing! Plus the service and atmosphere was great! Thank you so much for turning our frown upside down!

Great place! Pricey but great food. I wouldn't bring my young kids here, to me the atmosphere is sophisticated. Eric the manager was great, attentive, and very welcoming. There was one issue, I thought was ridiculous- my incredible waiter grabbed the wrong drink and the bar tender came over and embarrassed him in front of all of us... that was absolutely not cool. I would have given 5 stars if that didn't happen. When I'm back in IL, I will definitely go back to Stevens!

Excellent restaurant with delicious food options,we ordered a steak dinner tonight beyond delicious! Chocolate Mousse cake for dessert. The wait staff is very attentive this restaurant deserves 10 stars!!

My husband and I went here for the first time last week for my bday dinner with our toddler. Our server Niko was great. The food was excellent. My husband got a steak and I got the medallions. We shared the crab brie soup which was amazing. The steaks were perfectly cooked medium rare. The only complaint we had was about presentation of the drinks. Other than that, it was a great experience and we'll be back again.

I picked up a carry out order for the first time various waiters were collecting people at the podium and taking them to tables one way it was a complete idiot, very inappropriately received people and had no clue what was going on or what he was doing. The manager is absolutely amazing. I asked for a carry out menu and he literally gave me, the paper inserts for a formal menu very nice of him very accommodating but for $50 for one meal the steak was not that great. Obviously the atmosphere is elegant but Texas roadhouse. Hands-down has such better food. We probably wouldn’t go back. Maybe find a special occasion but if I want a good steak dinner, I will always go to Texas roadhouse. Thank you for the manager for being so amazing and accommodating very nice guy.

The food here was excellent. Absolutely delicious steak, the seafood pasta special, and the red snapper was insane!! Our server, joe, was excellent and made great recommendations. Really nice bartenders. Highly highly recommend!

A wonderful spot for lunch and breakfast. The place is cute, clean and staff is very friendly, Eva was so nice and efficient. The food portions were average as well as prices. The chilaquiles were delicious! The place partners with a local artist and displays the artwork through the place which can be purchased, a super cool idea.

Really good food, service, and vibes! I've had the awesome crab brie soup, gigantic coconut shrimp, steak... everything is great. Service was quick and efficient. The dining room is separated from the bar area, and there's a small private dining room and a larger party room. I enjoyed the live music in the bar on Friday night. All-around very good place - and it's not a chain!

Made reservations at Stevens' to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and everything was very nice. The staff was attentive, steaks prepared perfectly, and the atmosphere was cozy.

My Sailor made it thru bootcamp and we flew in to Celebrate! They made it a special Day the food was perfect! Couldn't decide on appetizer so got the trio...
