I
had
a
'Super'
fun
day
full
of
'Goliath'-sized
thrills
for
my
birthday.
This
was
my
first
visit
to
Great
America
in
about
20
years,
and
I
am
honestly
sad
it
took
so
long
to
revisit.
We
were
lucky
that
in
planning
this
visit,
we
saw
that
there
was
going
to
be
a
ticket
discount
released
a
few
days
before.
We
ended
up
purchasing
annual
passes
for
next
year,
and
I
am
glad
we
did
-
the
park
ended
up
a
little
busier
than
I
hoped
and
we
weren't
able
to
get
on
all
the
coasters
I
wanted,
but
we
can
now
return
next
summer
to
ride
those.
Some
of
the
waits
were
excruciating
-
particularly
waiting
for
The
Dark
Knight
Coaster
(it
seems
the
air
conditioning
in
the
first
part
of
the
queue
wasn't
working?),
and
the
wait
for
Goliath
had
us
standing
in
the
sun
for
a
while
(the
morning
started
cool
and
cloudy,
and
for
me,
that
would
have
been
the
perfect
day).
My
biggest
frustrations
with
Goliath
are
nothing
that
I
think
Six
Flags
can
fix
without
massive
expenditures,
as
the
ride
itself
has
a
very
low
capacity
due
to
the
level
of
implemented
ride
safety
features;
the
short
ride
length
is
longer
than
a
load
cycle.
This
is
a
flaw
with
all
RMC
coasters,
and
I
feel
a
dual
load
station
or
mandatory
locker
requirement
could
help
solve
it,
but
again
-
expensive
implementations
to
help
reduce
the
wait.
As
for
Goliath,
the
ride
itself
was
fantastic
and
is
the
first
inverting
RMC
I've
ridden.
I
was
nervous
about
how
this
would
feel,
but
they
definitely
knew
what
they
were
doing
when
they
built
this
one.
If
you're
a
B&M
fan,
this
is
a
great
park
to
visit,
with
Great
America
having
4
B&M
coasters.
We
did
not
get
to
experience
X-Flight
on
this
trip,
but
eating
lunch
across
the
plaza
and
getting
to
hear
the
'purr'
of
the
trains
on
that
track
was
a
wonderful
experience.
Watching
a
lot
of
roller
coaster
videos
and
YouTube
channels,
I
was
super
excited
to
re-ride
Whizzer.
With
its
sibling
ride,
Zambezi
Zinger
(Worlds
of
Fun,
Missouri),
reopening
this
summer
as
a
wooden
coaster
but
keeping
the
spiral
lift,
I
was
super
eager
to
ride
the
"original".
One
of
my
favorite
things
on
a
Schwartzkopf
roller
coaster
is
the
sound
trains
make
during
helixes;
there
is
a
distinct
"chug"
noise
of
wheels
as
the
trains
navigate
the
helix
that
speeds
up
as
the
trains
do,
and
I
cannot
explain
why
I
love
it
so
much,
but
I
do.
Thank
you
for
a
great
birthday!
I
cannot
wait
to
return.
