We waited 30 mins for our small and simple order. They totally messed up our order. We know that things happen, and both me and my husband have worked at White Castle before. We told them the mistake, and the kid got all frustrated and we could hear him complaining to the manager. The manager said "Just let's get them out of here!" we ended up just asking for our money back. We totally could hear them complaining that we asked for them to fix it and we were not rude at all. This is not how you treat your customers even the manager was so RUDE to use for no reason! And also it should not take that long to make our food. We have worked in food service. Completely disappointed in this place. Every time we come here, it's been a terrible experience. A customer should never hear a manager and an associate talking bad about a customer when YOU made the mistake. We will never come back here, and you lost good customers

Went there today craving those tiny burgers. Haven't ate white castle in a few years and wasn't aware how big the menu has grew. So decided to put together a "tasting" menu. I ended up getting basically 2 of everything (1 for me and 1 for the wife) and we tried it all. Needless to say I was pleasantly suprised how fast and fresh everything was. The cashier was very attentive considering how big my order was. Everything came out quick witch was a plus. So service was great, food was good no complaints and the order was correct. Only thing I would change is update the dining room everything is showing its age. But all in all couldent be happier with our trip. Attached photo is of the order.

Whenever I have the cravings for sliders I go to this location. It is about 13 miles from home but is is the closest. The service has always been good at this location. I just wish that there were one closer to home. Update 06/20/2023: Some people were saying that this location was closed and Siri also thought it was permanently closed. I called before I left to make sure and a man answered. He was very polite and told me that they were indeed open. I got there and the service was excellent and they actually served with a smile. Good service and good food (as good as a White Castle can be) is a good combination.

Was around 11pm and I was looking for a place to get some fast food but this White Castle was anything but fast, there were two cars in front of me in the drive-thru, took 15 minutes to get my order taken and then another half hour to get my food. Laziness should their second name.

I live in Washington State so I don't get the luxury of visiting White Castle unless I'm traveling for various reasons. For some reason I usually end up at this exact establishment every time, so it's a good thing to see they're always here as I can watch them grow. Last visit was about 4 to 6 years ago. Unlike other times where I go slowly for myself, This time I was on a mission to feed six people back in Washington, some which have never even seen or heard of a White Castle, and others which have not had it and over a decade. The offer packs of sliders up to 60 count. I do not eat beef, so this time was surprised to see many more nonbeef selections. If available, I will usually partake in the breakfast menu because I love breakfast food and can eat it at any time of the day. To my amazement this restaurant, unlike some other fast foods, served breakfast all day. I had to try the French toast bacon sliders, which were pleasantly fulfilling but not amazing. But for the price of everything, especially during these high cost times, it was totally worth it. I spent around 45 to $55 and was able to feed myself and six others. The sliders made it all the way back to Washington State unharmed.

I’ve been eating White Castle and Krystals my entire existence, and I’m 51 years old. I have never eaten food as bad as has been received at this location. I literally took two bites of one burger through the entire tray away and handed them back there, frozen milkshake that they gave me.. nothing much right nor did they care. But, I will say that Eugene made an attempt to make this right. If he is not, he should be running your operation.

Since the remodel everything has gone downhill. I loved this White Castle before, but now I am done with it. They have screwed up orders twice (really bad), wait times are thru the roof, the burgers tasted awful (threw most of them out). Looks like most of the old help is no longer there (probably could not afford to hang on while place was closed for remodel) and the new help is either lazy or poorly trained. Honestly, it pains me to have to write a review like this of a place I used to really love. Go to the one in Round Lake if you want real White Castle customer service and good food.

This store was just renovated and looked great - for about a week. Last night, the floors were filthy, tables were dirty, counter had garbage on it and the soda area was disgusting. 2 employees stood around doing nothing, while one man did the cooking. People who came in to order stood there being ignored. I don't know who manages this place, but they should be ashamed.

Sat in the drive thru for quite some time and after a while I drove around the building. The employee inside said they were closed even though the website and posting on the door said they were open for two more hours. As I was sitting in the parking lot confirming the hours I watched two more cars fall victim and wait in the drive thru.

Did an online order for a 30 pack. When I arrived, the place was very busy, with only 3 people working. Saw them make my burgers and other stuff. They were so organized. Staff was efficient and polite. Burgers were great and hot!

Greatest fast food destination in Gurnee, guaranteed. I love the 10 cheese burger deal. The soda stays cold and food tastes fresh.

I love White Castle, this location has the nicestttt employees. No matter what time of day. I’ve came in during the day & late at night. They are always so happy and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.

Online order at 6:09 on this Sunday evening. Promised for 6:30. Get there at 6:30, tell the order window I'm here. Takes 20 (!!) minutes to reach the pick-up window. "Sorry, it's not ready, take a parking space." Another 10 minutes and they bring out part of the order (crave case) but not the fries or chicken rings I ordered. I go inside. The harried manager says he's short-handed and what else can he do? Asks the staff to get me the fries and 20 chicken rings (I had ordered 6). I finally get a bag and bring everything home, a full hour after placing the order. And... There are just 4 chicken rings.

The crew at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday July 30th absolutely killed it! Super sweet and professional. Accommodated the bus of my peers and I and did an amazing job. Highly recommend this white castle and the crew tonight. Will visit again when back in town

I was excited to visit the reopening of White Castle in Gurnee. Just stopped by for a late night meal, and I received no answer at the drive-thru window. Google says they’re open until 2am. White Castle’s website says they’re open until 3am. We drove around the side of the building, made eye contact with an employee, and she just looked away. Corporate, I’m calling you out.

The girls in drive thru today around 10:30 am. Was so polite and very nice when taking care of my order. I didn’t receive the buffalo chicken rings like I wanted and the buns in my cheeseburgers were super hard so I couldn’t eat them, but the girls pleasant attitudes and great customer service made up for it. They should be recognized.

I understand the employee shortage, so you need to be patient with operations as they are short staffed. This location in Gurnee, is best described as a Jekyll & Hyde. During the day the African American (slim built) gentelman manages the store fairly well, to his credit. Drive thru or inside orders move at an acceptable pace. Place is usually "steady". The African American (larger build) gentleman on nights is an absolute train wreck at best! Monday night August 8, 2022 10:15ish pm I gave my order of two double cheeseburgers, , one car ahead on me, who got a small bag. Took 15 minutes to get to the window, once at the window the gentlemen asked me for my order again. Gave him the order, $4.55. Guy had gloves on, took my money then went and proceeded to prepare food with the same gloves on that he took money and worked the cash register with. Took another 5- 6 minutes of me sitting there waiting for food, looking around the kitchen , you could see crumbs all over the counters really unsanitary , I actually left without my order, just couldn't eat after what I had seen. The cross contamination that's going on will get someone sick! I really enjoy White Castle every now and again, I don't mind them being slow, I just have to go when I have more time, but you can't be DIRTY TOO!!! Please have a Regional Manager visit this location and inspect for cleanliness, it will be very obvious! ***UPDATE*** White Castle Corporate to their credit, actually reached out to me with an apology and a refund. I 'm glad they took the time to read my complaint. We all went through an unprecedented time due to the Covid-19. Everyone begin to focus on cleanliness, hand washing , no touch food service. Short term memory has society abandoning those habits so quickly.

White Castle in Gurnee is really good! We were craving it tonight and we went for the gusto!! Crave case with cheese 3 large orders of crispy fires! 😋 We haven't had White Castle in so long so tonight we really enjoyed it!

This White Castle was just remodeled and it looks great! Service was professional, and fast. Food was delicious and made fresh. Highly recommend the onion rings. So delicious! Come check their new look out.

Nothing like the smell of sliders in the morning with pickles, grilled onions and of course ketchup added. They may not be healthy for you but of course you can't live forever. So what the heck? The Gurnee location has a friendly staff and cooks up the sliders quick

Wow this place is the best. If you looking to do a full body cleansing this is definitely the spot. Nothing better than eating and a few hours later taking the most amazing Relieving massive dump. 🙌

The two people who were working at that location Saturday Morning(11/26/2022)were an absolute joy. They were very pleasant, friendly and courteous. Their customer service skills are second to none and came through in their attention to detail and their excellent care to their customers requests.

Food is a tossup here. Sliders are always tasty but the chicken rings taste like they have freezer burn or they are being cooked in old oil…Employees on cell phones while making orders is what makes the service so slow. The older stocky African American lady is rude, I liked it when the stocky African American guy was there and the stocky big white dude. It’s very unorganized now, check your order before leaving always forget the fries.

Went after 10pm on a Thursday after a Wakanda Forever showing. Waited a while but I think it's cuz only 1 person was working. We ordered 4 of the same meal and they very thoughtfully packed each meal in its own bag which was SO helpful to us when we got home. Appreciate this place and crew!

I wish I knew who worked when, because it's always hit or miss coming to this location! Driving 30 minutes to get there (if I'm in the area), it's a gamble, as there's a guy that works the Drive-Thru who is wonderful, patient, and funny, buuuuuut, there are women that work the Drive-Thru that give you attitude, the wrong change, the wrong order, and the works! They've even ran out of napkins!! Who has ever heard of a restaurant with no napkins???? I don't plan on coming back to this location any time soon.
