BEWARE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. NEVER HAVE FOOD FROM THIS RESTAURANT. They are just looting customers in the name of 3 star restaurant. I stayed with my family in this hotel from 15th-16th and booked two rooms. The stay was okay. The checkout process was not at all smooth and they wasted our time as the restaurant incorrectly billed for food that we didn't order. This is their so called 3 star service. I'm posting this one star review mainy for the restaurant. We had masala dosa and it tasted really bad and price for one dosa was 110. You will get very nice dosa from nearby restaurants which are not so called "3*" and that too within a price of max 50-70. Cost for a normal tea was 45 and taste didn't match with the price. The restaurant staffs are unprofessional and very rude while attending customers. When I complained about the quality of Masala dosa and tea, the reply was that "you can get tea from outside for 12 Rs, why didn't you enquire outside?" I replied that man that if I get it for 12 RS outside, those people will make it for the quality matching that price unlike you idiots. I have seen so many one star review for this restaurant after checking and I can confirm from my recent experience that there is no improvement from their side despite thsse reviews. I regret that I should have checked these reviews first.

Generally I don't write negative reviews, I know the difficulties of running any business and how stressful it is to make every customer happy. But this experience of mine was horrible, specially regarding how the front house staff behaved and how unprofessional and rude they were. As a result we did not stay there, but we had our lunch. It was another worst dinning experience as the food was horrible. Even after letting them know, nothing much was done. I would never like to go there again. It's my experience and it can differ from people to people.

Thoughtfully designed, extremely clean hotel. The staff are decent. Liked the theme around musical instruments. It's a beautiful hotel very close to the temple, yet far from all the hustle bustle. Food options though limited due to covid impact, it was tasty with good quality ingredients used.

Check ins are late as 3.30 pm, so expect to sit at reception if you arrive early. Rooms are neat and tidy, It's ten minutes walk from temple. Restaurant is good, WI fi does not work most of the time,

I did stay in the hotel with family for one day and night. The restaurant is clean and neat, the rooms were good and neat. The checkin process was easy and smooth. Food was not up to the mark considering the price. And also has to improve the breakfast buffet when we went there by around 8am most of the pots were empty or didn't had enough no of items so we have to go and ask to get the items refilled.

We went for a three day stay at Hotel Devaragam. It's really close to the temple, so we went walking to and fro multiple times a day. Food was good, but most of all the service was excellent, the hospitality is commendable. Everyone right from reception staff to restaurant staff to housekeeping staff, each one of them made you feel so warm and welcome. They had genuine smiles on their faces every single time we met them. We especially wish to mention the kindness of the restaurant staff since they would cater to our requests to prepare meals for our 1 year old as per our specifications. They even kept the restaurant open in the afternoon for us to finish our meal since we were late due to some medical issues. Overall, we were extremely happy and delighted with our stay. We will come back and stay here every time we plan a visit to Guruvayoor.

Had a one night stay on 7th and checked out on 8th. Property looks good ,it has the potential to attract customers. However, the total vibe is completely negative. We reached at the hotel around 3.15 pm. Security was helpful in assisting to park the car. But nobody from the hotel came to pick up luggage. We took the whole stuff and walked towards reception inside( at least they can place some trollies outside if the staff are unwilling to help). Reached reception, 3-4 staff male and female behind the counter...no greeting the guest or smile or friendly attitude...just staring at guests as if we have come for some free stay. Although 3 pm was check-in time, our room wasn't ready. So we thought of going to restaurant to have a coffee. Enquiry at reception was negative "you won't get coffee at this time" was the rude remark. So we ourselves walked into the restaurant and asked, they said yes we can provide, though a bit reluctant. Coffee got served ...it took 20 minutes. We reached the reception to collect key...key card prepared is missing. They started asking me again, what is your name etc etc...complete confusion and utterly unprofessional and rude. Finally they made another key card and gave. Again no assistance for luggage to bring to room. No briefing at reception at breakfast timing , restaurant timing or expressing willingness for any assistance etc. After 10 minutes of confusion, one gentleman came forward to bring luggage to our room. So, very pathetic Check in experience. Room was clean, kettle, tea, coffee supplies were provided. AC performance was below average. Bathroom looked clean but intermittently some foul smell was coming ( guess from drainage) ,it was disgusting. Restaurant staff also were rude...they seemed to be all novices without any basic training of hospitality. There was no buffet breakfast . We stayed in first floor room...the corridors were extremely stuffy , suffocating and smelly( probably the smell comes from the carpeted floor). Power supply was getting interrupted almost every 30 minutes due to some electrical trouble ( as told to us that it is from KSEB). Checkout was also similarly pathetic experience. My final bill will not print...as their printer isn't working. There's not even an apology for that..just a blank stare and cold look. I told them no need of bill. Nobody volunteered to load our luggage to the car. Overall experience is nothing less than pathetic and disgusting. Temple is 750 metres walk. You won't even get an auto rickshaw unless you come out of the gate of the property and wait. Normally in such cases, hotel would have a few mobile numbers of auto rickshaw drivers who would come on request. No such nicety was offered. Utmost disgusting experience. This property is owned by reputed business group K P Namboodiris I understand. But that kind of professionalism was not anywhere to be seen. Seriously, they need to train/replace/censure all their Devaragam staff if they want to improve.

We are locals here to Guruvayur. We come here usually in the evenings and never had no issue. However this afternoon ordered meals for 5. We waited 20mins for it to be served. I do not complain much about food however the meals that was served to us was not good and was not worth the price. Service was really bad. Water bottles were empty and the glasses were empty and no one refilled it until we called someone to refill it. No one asked us for second serve while having meals. Asked for sauce twice before it got served. It was clearly told to one of the staff to give the bill directly to me and the bill was placed on the table while I went to wash my hands. Great Ambience, great enviorment, clean and hygienic however pathetic service and below average meals. We are not going there no more with any of our family or friends

Devaragam is one of my favorite restaurants in Guruvayoor. The food is tasty, and the ambiance and service are great too. They serve the best North Indian cuisines for dinner in Guruvayoor. I recommend checking with the staff before you order, especially with the guy with the long mustache

On entering Hotel Devaragam in Guruvayoor, one is immediately taken by the spaciousness of the venue and the tranquillity it radiates - a retreat from the bustle of the outer world. The hotel boasts an excellent ambiance that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity, creating a comfortable and pleasing atmosphere. My visit, however, was purely gastronomic. Regrettably, the culinary experience was not as harmonious as the environment. Both breakfast and lunch were subpar, falling short of the flavorful extravaganza one would expect in such a setting. The chutney, which traditionally brings a delightful tang to breakfast, was rather mediocre. The lunch, specifically the fried rice, seemed a bit stale. Whether it was the rice or the oil used, the freshness expected of the dish was sorely lacking. Despite this, Hotel Devaragam shone brightly in the realm of service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The team demonstrated remarkable proficiency and seemed to anticipate our requirements, even taking into account the youngest of our group, ensuring a baby-friendly experience. The hotel deserves special mention for its well-organized parking facilities. Not only is there ample space, but they also cater to the growing need for charging facilities for electric vehicles - a thoughtful inclusion for the environmentally conscious traveler. In terms of rating, while the food would barely scrape a 2/5 owing to the underwhelming experience, the service and the staff deserve a full 5/5 for their outstanding professionalism and care. The ambiance merits a 4.5/5, providing a calming and aesthetically pleasing environment. The parking facilities, considering their capacity and provision for electric vehicles, stand at a commendable 4/5. In summary, while the culinary aspect of Hotel Devaragam needs significant improvement, the ambiance, service, and thoughtful features like the parking and electric vehicle charging facilities present a compelling case for a revisit. It serves as a hopeful reminder that with a bit more attention to their culinary offerings, the hotel can indeed become a sought-after spot in Guruvayoor.

The stay was pleasant. Staffs from the reception all the way to the housekeeping always had a smile on their face and were patient enough to cater to any of our needs. This is the second time that i am staying here and it felt completely relaxed during my stay here. The proximity of the temple adds another feather to this place. The food was good too. Thank you for keeping this place as good as it is now.

The hotel is very neat and tidy and is well maintained. The reservation counter people and others are very kind and helping the visitors. There is car charging port and two wheeler charging port for the battery operated cars and two wheelers. The entire hotel as the name suggests was carved and decorated with original music instruments fitted to the walls and door handles. There is also a big antique wall clock which is very attractive. At the centre of the hotel there is very big fish tank and huge granite carved Ganesh greets the visitors which is very unique and nice. The fish tank is very smelly and should be cleaned at least once in a month. On entry to the room, When we found that the flush was not working we informed the reception and it was made correct within ten minutes and it was very very quick and the concerned people should be appreciated for it. Every thing was very nice to our satisfaction and made our stay happy except the restaurant where are bunch of people wandering here and there but failed to serve the purpose and people. They don’t know English or any other language except Malayalam which serves no purpose. People were made to wait for half an hour to one hour during dinner. I have seen big shouting by a very elderly man who waited for more than hour and went out frustrated without food and this restaurant people not at all bothered. The authorities should recruit more kind helping gentle people knowing at least two or more languages including English. Actually the hard earned service given by the reception, room service etc are spoiled by the restaurant. After all whoever comes, is coming from far away stay only for a day or so should leave happily.

Disappointing Experience at Devaragam Restaurant Date: 16 Aug 2023 Food: Special Meals (Rs: 225/meal + GST) Bill No: 6177 Table 22. I visited Devaragam restaurant with high hopes due to its reputation for a pleasant ambiance and delectable meals. However, my experience turned out to be incredibly disappointing, to say the least. Unfortunately, the special meals I had was far from satisfactory. The food was prepared by someone who has no idea about South Indian meals. Not even a single curry was up to the mark and I doubt they mixed water into Sambar as salt was not added even in a minimum quantity. The quality of the food was substandard, and the taste was utterly disappointing. It seemed like the dishes were prepared without much care or attention to detail. The flavors were bland, lacking the authenticity that one would expect from a restaurant that boasts such a reputation. It's disheartening to witness a restaurant fall so short of its own acclaim. Equally dismaying was the level of service provided. The staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in catering to the needs. From slow service to a lack of attentiveness, the overall service left much to be desired. I believe in giving credit where it's due, but my experience at Devaragam has left me utterly disappointed. It's unfortunate to witness a restaurant with so much potential deliver such a lackluster experience. The feedback was shared with the staff and the Manager. I hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and endeavors to bring about the necessary improvements. I would strongly advise potential visitors to reconsider their choice before visiting Devaragam restaurant. There are undoubtedly better dining options available that prioritize both quality food and exceptional service. My hope is that this review serves as a genuine reflection of my experience and aids others in making informed decisions. Conclusion: Great ambience with substandard food. Avoid meals and special meals.

We had a delightful stay at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days. The rooms were impeccably clean and quiet, ensuring a peaceful rest. The proximity to Guruvayur temple made our visit even more convenient. The staff was exceptionally courteous, and we enjoyed some delicious meals at Sapthaswaram restaurant. Highly recommended! Hot water available 24/7 for bath

I was here twice this week to this restaurant to relish the taste of Rawa masala dosa. I bet you will never find this perfect rawa masala dosa anywhere in Guruvayur. I forgot to click a picture though. Crispy, neatly folded into square, stuffed with tasty potatoe masala, accompanied by red chamandi, chutney n sambar. You get to enjoy this only at Saptha Swarangal, Devaragam hotel, Guruvayur. Kerala. Try once and you will visit again and again. A must to try in Guruvayur.

I had stayed there to visit the guruvayoor temple,it's located very close to east nada it's just a 5-10 min walk. as soon as you enter they serve you with lemonade and all ,their aesthetics are nice but The people in the hotel were so impolite and not welcoming only the guy in the bell desk was nice, their restaurant is super expensive and the food is not upto the mark , their room service people are not very nice they don't even take your rechargeable key cards that have to be recharged erveryday to enter your room themselves you have to ask them for that also. While checking out of our already fully paid rooms they added random things from the restaurant on our bill stating that we had eaten on the day of our check in at. 1 pm when we had checked in at 3:30 Be aware of all this when you book All in all its an average hotel

I booked the hotel for my sister's marriage function. The hotel has a lot of positive factors, primarily, the proximity near the temple, the quality it delivers and the comfort for the customers. All the relatives and guests invited had a pleasant experience throughout the event. Special thanks to Mr.Bimith for the utmost care and coordination he put forward to organize everything from food to hospitality for all invitees.

Stayed there for 2 nights to attend a marriage, all facilities are really good and food was also really good. Hotel is neat and clean, room is well maintained, bathroom is spacious and with warm water, they have parking places both under ground and infront; there is a security man to guide us at both the levels of parking. Wheel chair friendly parking and entry is provided. Lift is available 24 hours which is wide enough for the wheel chair. I prefer to stay there next time when I go there. Staff are cooperative and speak both Malayalam and English.

We stayed one night at the hotel. Right from check in, the staff were very helpful. They have us details about the temple timing etc and helped us get an auto during wee hours. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Overall a great stay option I'm the temple town within walkable distance.

The hotel is at a 10 mins walking distance from Guruvayur temple. The hotel also arranges for auto on request. So location wise this is a great choice. On our request the hotel also helped us with a pick up and drop from the airport and back. The vehicles sent were clean and comfortable and met every request we made. The hotel rooms are well maintained, with a spacious bathroom and lots of storage facilities. The best part about the hotel was the food. Since we were travelling with kids our concern was primarily food. At Devaragam we did not have to worry at all. The food options were extensive and good. They serve both South Indian and North Indian food. The food was presented v well and was really yummy, moreover the service was super quick!! Last but not the least - the Staff, the receptionist, the manager, bell boy, housekeeping, room service, everyone in short, were super efficient, courteous and very helpful. They answered all our questions and also helped with additional information about the place. We did not have to wait for more than 15 mins for any service request and room service. Thanks to Devaragam, our stay was extremely comfortable and peaceful.

The restaurant service could have been better. The waiters are asking to help themselves when the old guests are requesting them for tea at breakfast. If guests are looking for hot food they ask to have what is available at buffet table. Rest rooms are very good, even the reception staff are very courteous.

Excellent Three Star Hotel with plenty of amenities and excellent location. The Hotel also features a pure veg restaurant Sapthaswaram with plenty of options to eat being a Multicuisine restaurant. The only negative part about the restaurant is the time you would have to wait once ordered even for the smallest of order. The hotel is situated opposite the railway station and is only about 500-600m from the East Nada of the Guruvayur Temple.

A stay for one night was a good experience. The booking was based on the evaluation of personal recommendations and reviews. There were no disappointments with service, food not customer experience. The only thing (and they can’t be blamed for this) is that breakfast was not included in the online booking from a third party platform. Yet, they accommodated our request and we felt so warm and homely. We will be back the next time for this experience that compliments the divinity of the place.

We stayed here for a night during our visit to Guruvayur. We had a comfortable stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep. The restaurant serves good food. They have polite staff and the service is good. Would like to mention the good service of Restaurant manager Mr. Kanan. They have enough parking space for your vehicle. The hotel is situated close to the Guruvayur Krishna Temple (600 meter). It better to walk to the Temple as it is near by. We chose to leave our footwear in the hotel itself and walked barefooted to the Temple as footwear is not allowed inside the Temple. The hotel has a serene quality and we would like to stay here again if we are fortunate enough to visit Guruvayur again in future. The hotel is owned by the famous KP Namboodari group of Kerala which is into manufacturing and sales of herbal products like dental powder. We booked the hotel on MakeMyTrip and it costed us Rs 4,000 including breakfast and dinner.

Walking distance to guruvayur temple east nada. Cleaner rooms and toilet. Wifi, parking available. Restaurant inside is very neat and food is very good. Courteous people. Recommend staying here. Just make sure you get a larger bed than twin bed if staying more than 2. They also have toiletries to buy just in case you forgot.

The rooms are ok . Normal descent rooms . But not keep the standards for a 3 star hotel. Room service is ok nothing more. I stayed there for 3 days . They didn't even provide the basic amenities unless I call the front desk every day. The behaviour of the restaurant staff is exceptionally good . I will give 10/10 for their behaviour. But the food was average.

Well appointed hotel in Guruvayur ,sufficient amenities for the devout with no frills of a luxury resort. Ample parking and provision of electric charging stations for those who choose. Served by a vegetarian restaurant in the premises that offers delicious food, served slowly though.

Beautiful room and an amazing hotel. The staffs had a very pleasant attitude. Room was booked for my parents, room was spacious and clean, complimentary snacks provided were absolutely delicious, tasted fresh and crunchy. Morning breakfast buffet was average with good number of options. Would definitely stay again.

I started to come back this excellent hotel since my last visit 6 months ago. A highly professional hotel, so very well managed by extremely professional and helpful people, extremely clean and a touch of class in every step, well maintained spacious rooms and great support facilities, spotless comfortable bedding and excellent bathroom with hot water always, excellent restaurant Saptaswaram, delicious food with great service, very good breakfast spread of vegetarian Kerala food, very professional front desk and restaurant staff, conveniently located just opposite to the Guruvayur railway station and a short 300 meters walk to East Nada. I will keep coming back to this lovely hotel when I’m in Guruvayur, and I highly recommend this to you as well👍

Room clean. Food is good. Good parking and location. However rate of the hotel booked directly is much higher than various travel sites. Unfortunately hotel is treating travel sites as their customer and not us.
