Tansen is the well-known personality for their musical journey from the era of king Akbar. The tomb is situated near the tomb of Mohmmad Ghuas in one premises. Time- sunrise to sunset (but make sure to visit before 5 in the winter season because it's closed early) Ticket - no ticket required And most importantly not to visit in December near by second or third week because its having musical show in the memory of Tansen if you want to avoid rush and public in mainly Gwalior city. But for the music loving people you can visit.

The majestic architectural marvel.. Visited for the first time only to realise the silent serene beauty of the place. Rightly be called as Tomb of Mohammad Ghaus Sahab legendary Sufi Saint and Tansen's teacher. The entire complex comprises several shrines and graves scattered all around. The graves as the locals told are some of the family members of Muhammad Ghaus Sahab and some of his Murids(Disciples). Recommended for a visit!!

The Tomb of Tansen in Gwalior is a gem for history and music lovers alike. Dedicated to one of India’s greatest musicians, Tansen, this site offers a peaceful escape with its serene garden and Mughal-era architecture. The intricate carvings and well-maintained surroundings add to the beauty and reverence of this place. The atmosphere is calm and ideal for reflection, and there's even a famous neem tree that locals believe holds musical powers, adding a mystical touch to the experience. It’s inspiring to think about Tansen’s legacy while standing in such a historic setting. Located conveniently near other landmarks like Gwalior Fort, the tomb is easy to reach and a perfect addition to your tour of the city. Visiting here offers a unique glimpse into India’s rich cultural and musical heritage. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Gwalior!"

The Tansen Samroh, a centenary musical event and exhibition commemorating the music legend was well organised. Awesome sound quality, stage settings, and seating. The aesthetics of the tombs and gardens adds to the musical night.
