“The
Gallery
of
Mariam
and
Eranuhi
Aslamazyan
Sisters”
is
one
of
the
unique
galleries
in
the
Republic
of
Armenia,
where
is
found
the
complete
collection
of
the
painting,
graphic,
ceramic
works
of
Mariam
and
Eranuhi
Aslamazyan
sisters.
The
gallery
has
been
working
since
1987.
In
the
gallery
is
preserved
nearly
620
original
works
presented
by
the
sisters.
After
the
ruinous
earthquake
of
1988
the
building
of
the
gallery
was
given
to
the
homeless
people
and
was
reopened
in
2004.
The
gallery
is
a
two-storied
building.
On
the
ground
floor
is
exhibited
the
works
of
Eranuhi
Aslamazyan,
and
on
the
first
floor
–
the
works
of
Mariam
Aslamazyan.
The
building
of
the
gallery
is
situated
in
the
central
square
of
Gyumri.
The
building
as
the
Qeshishovs
residence
was
constructed
in
the
80's
of
the
19th
century
by
their
family
-
the
opulent
merchants,
famous
in
Gyumri.
This
building
is
a
bright
example
of
19th
century
town
building
architecture
of
Aleksandrapol
which
includes
the
elements
of
European
and
traditional
Armenian
architecture
of
that
time
forming
original
Gyumri
town
with
black
tuff
masonry.
The
building
has
an
interesting
architectural
feature:
luxurious
inner
courtyard
and
wooden
balcony.
