One of the best museums in Armenia, properly designed and illuminated. Enjoyed the master pieces by Aslamazyan sisters, they were not only artists, they were entrepreneurs, diplomats, peace messengers ..

The Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters in Gyumri - the only museum in Armenia named after female artists and devoted to female artists. Through their artworks Aslamazyan Sisters were promoting gender equality and the role of female artists in Soviet-Armenian society. Highly recommend to visit :) #FemalePower

I am not really what you would say a real art fan, so the fact that it managed to catch my interest says something

If you visit Gyumri, this place is a must! Both their life story and their artworks are amazing, considering the times in which they lived and created..

A must! There is a video interview with Mariam at her 70s. Around 15-20 minutes. Very touching and encouraging. You won’t regret to visit. Ticket 1000dram. Worth it!

Definitely worth a visit! The gallery contains a lovely collection of artwork by Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan sisters. We were fortunate to be informed that entry on the last weekend of every month is free of charge. I'd recommend allocating around 30 minutes for the visit. There's also a gift shop at the exit.

Really masterpiece of a museum. Situated in the central square of Gyumri, the gallery offers is a bright example of 19th century town building architecture of Aleksandrapol which includes the elements of European and traditional Armenian architecture of that time forming original Gyumri town with black tuff masonry.

“The Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters” is one of the unique galleries in the Republic of Armenia, where is found the complete collection of the painting, graphic, ceramic works of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan sisters. The gallery has been working since 1987. In the gallery is preserved nearly 620 original works presented by the sisters. After the ruinous earthquake of 1988 the building of the gallery was given to the homeless people and was reopened in 2004. The gallery is a two-storied building. On the ground floor is exhibited the works of Eranuhi Aslamazyan, and on the first floor – the works of Mariam Aslamazyan. The building of the gallery is situated in the central square of Gyumri. The building as the Qeshishovs residence was constructed in the 80's of the 19th century by their family - the opulent merchants, famous in Gyumri. This building is a bright example of 19th century town building architecture of Aleksandrapol which includes the elements of European and traditional Armenian architecture of that time forming original Gyumri town with black tuff masonry. The building has an interesting architectural feature: luxurious inner courtyard and wooden balcony.

Very nice museum in Gyumri, it's also unique because belong to two sisters, and if I'm not wrong it's only one in Armenia, when the museum belong or called by name of women.

One of the best female artwork I have ever seen in my life (have visited numerous major and boutique picture galleries around the world) The gallery is a great layout; it brilliantly depicts the two sisters' life story along with their artwork. Highly recommended. Give your visit at least an hour and more. You will be inspired.

It was quiet nice 👌🏽 to see artists Mariam & Eranuhi storyline and how they portrayed their art, how it represented their paths and they different styles used in each drawing Loved it 🥰 My personal opinion maybe just to add little bit of classic music it just needed to bring life to the place Maybe also a little bit of lighting on the pieces displayed.
