On the northern shore of the Baldeney lake sits this great park-ish feeling resort. It's not free you do have to pay a few Euros to get in but I'd really recommend it. The fake beach is nice but my favourite place here are these little steps on the water where all the stand-up paddlers get into the lake, if the weather is nice you can just sit there with your feet in the water and take in your surroundings. Oh and you can play beach volleyball of course

Die Minigolfanlage hat ihre besten Zeiten bereits hinter sich und ist in einem sehr lieblosen und schlechten Zustand. Die Kosten betragen 2.5€ pro Person.

Super Strandfeeling in Essen. Bei schönem Wetter früh kommen für die besten Plätze am Strand. Ist aber genug Platz um auch auf der Wiese ungestört in der Sonne zu liegen. Ich war Besucher des sehr gut organisierten Beachhandballtunier 2022

Summer beach vibes. Beautiful, cleaned, well maintained place. We enjoyed a happy sunday with our kids. Food and drink also available inside. Cleaned toilets. 2hrs Ferries tour is a must to see beautiful lake. Must visit again.

We visited this place on Sunday during Autumn season. The weather was awesome and the place was really beautiful especially during the Autumn season where the leaves were shedding. The lake side view was amazing and it's really cool to walk beside it

Klasse, war zum ersten Mal drin. Da ja die Weltmeisterschaft im Kanu war konnte man kostenlos rein. Sieht klasse gefällt mir sehr gut. Große Liegeplätze und Liegen, Grillplatz gibt es auch. Ob man in DEN Baldeneysee schwimmen gehen kann weiß ich nicht, eine Badestelle haben, die. Sonst klasse.

Der Eintrittspreis von 5 € für Erwachsene ist vollkommen gerechtfertigt. Alle möglichen Freizeitaktivitäten,der Strand, die Bars alles sehr schön.

Das Seaside Beach ist auf jeden Fall eines der Highlights in und um Essen - aber auch hier ist nicht alles perfekt. Parkplätze gibt es in wenigen Minuten Gehweg ausreichend sogar im Schatten. Der Eintritt liegt bei 5 Euro pro Person. Das ist erstmal in Ordnung, denn bei gutem Wetter kann man im Seaside Beach auch die Badestelle im Baldeneysee nutzen. Außerdem gibt es sehr viele kostenlose Liegestühle auf dem rund hundert Meter langen Sandstrand und es ist sauber. Es stehen auch zwei Toiletten zur Verfügung und es gibt auf der Wiese mehrere Bäume für Schattenplätze im Hochsommer. Es gibt auch eine Dusche. Insgesamt ist die Stimmung dort sehr angenehm und kein asoziales Ghetto Publikum. Kommen wir zu den negativen Punkten: die Gastronomie. Die Getränkekarte ist nicht besonders gut sortiert, oft sind Getränke auch nicht vorrätig. Außerdem kosten Getränke mehr als in einem Schwimmbad. Beim Essen wird es dann ganz duster. Es gibt immer einen Pommes Foodtruck, bei dem die kleine Portion Pommes sechs Euro kostet plus Mayo und die große sogar 9 (!) Euro. Dafür gibt es kleine Billigpommes aus der Tüte. Dann gibt es einen Crepes Stand, der okay ist und einen Dönerstand ohne frisches Fleisch, mit kleinem Brot für acht Euro pro Döner. Also alles in allem gibt es teures und schlechtes Fast Food. Es wäre angebracht im Seaside Beach etwas Gesundes und Hochwertigeres anzubieten.

Hallo Wir sind zum ersten Mal hier gewesen. Am Eingang wurden wir aufgefordert unsere Tasche zu öffnen und den Inhalt zu zeigen. Wir hatten 2x Dosen Cola und eine Flasche Wasser für 2 Personen mit. Wir durften nur eine Flasche Wasser mit reinnehmen und die 2 Dosen Cola mussten wir im Auto lassen. ( Totaler SCHWACHSINN) wir erleben sowas zum ersten Mal… Wir wollten gerne den Chef ansprechen. Uns wurde gesagt dass er nicht da ist. Und wenn wir nicht wollen dann sollen wir nicht rein gehen. Wir haben uns trotzdem entschieden rein zugehen. Jeder von uns hat 5€ Eintritt bezahlt. Das Wasser ist sehr dreckig. Man kann nicht schwimmen. Der Fußweg zwischen Sand und Wasser sehr dreckig und voll mit Gänsekot. Barfuß wird nicht empfohlen. Bilder folgen noch. Wir werden nie wieder kommen.

The beachside is nice, but the sand itself wasn't cleaned. Also the water is not very clean in my opinion. However you have showers and we could Refresh there.

Es ist dort immer super schön! Man kann sich einfach nur in die Sonne legen oder auch Sport treiben. Es ist super schön zum entspannen und man hat nicht das Gefühl im Ruhrpott zu sein 😁

Very good place to spend time by the river with family. Artificially created by placing sand by the shore.A lot of activities including drinks, anacks and music sometimes. There are also places that you can reserve for barbecues. Does have an entey fee.

The concerts that are held here are very good. "Big stars" give their best at the concerts... great...

A huge picnic place .. lake with sand is already a funfilled place on summer days. The sand itself is enjoyable without the beach . The lake isnt clean to take a swim. But overall if you need to relax with a beach ambiance , this is the place. The mini golf and the food carts are also available. Just bring your picnic mat for a perfect relaxation . Kayaks and other water sports also available .

Great place out of the city but near city convenient for long walks, playing wolleball and enjoying in to the sun

Awesome location for eskating. The trip around the lake is ~16.5km and can be done on a WowGo 2s board with LG battery. The path around the lake is in perfect condition.

We went on a Monday, and all the food was closed. Also kids can't swim with armbands etc, so we felt our 5euro was wasted. Additionally we found a lot of cigarette butts, and broken glass in the sand, not good.

I miss a swimming pool (there is one but this water from the river which is not very nice). There are many activities to do, however more and nicer eating places will be a plus!! The area is very nice and the entrance is 4€ if I am not mistaken

An sich ist der Seaside Beach sehr schön. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Nur war leider der Sand vom Vortrag nicht sehr sauber, aber es ist natürlich auch schwierig bei so einem großen Grundstück. Ein großer Minuspunkt sind leider die kleinen Holztische deren verrostete Nägel weit nach draußen stehen, was vorallem für Kinder sehr gefährlich ist. Und es wäre schön man könnte der Homepage auf den ersten Blick entnehmen das es für Kinder keinerlei Bademöglichkeit gibt. Aber trotzdem hat man einen hohen Wohlfühlfaktor!

The place is very beautiful and certainly a place to visit when it's sunny . A skinny dipping can also be enjoyed when there is sun.

Wouldn’t really call it a beach. There’s 2 tiny designated 10x5m section where you are allowed to swim. + there’s an entrance fee… it’s just not worth it.

Nice place. But I did not find any cabine to change! Was recommended to do it in WC!
