Given alone the food I would rate5 but stepped out soo disappointed by their service. Probably not a good place for Indians to be as one would definitely not like to get that attitude racist treatment in a distant land especially from ones belonging to your own motherland. We were asked to shift our table to accommodate a bunch of German visitors which was still not a problem until the owner decided it is okay to serve us in an uncleaned table and he could get away by swiping off the littered food on the table with his fingers ..lol so unprofessional. I wonder if he would dare to do that with the "white skinned". Impolite manners and unfriendly staff. NEVER had this experience anywhere else.

Certainly the BEST Indian food in Essen! True authentic taste with so much flavour! Always get the garlic Nan!

First time here and wanted to try a new place in the city. I do enjoy Indian food and the Lamb Curry with Garlic Naan was excellent. Food was super fresh, hot and had a great heat to the dish in terms of spice. Portions were good satisfying my hunger for dinner. Will definitely be back, maybe for butter chicken next.

Restaurant is located near the city center of Essen. The food was good, but a bit salty. I think there are better Indian restaurants to go to. Prices were reasonable. Service was messy.

As a Indian I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. One of the worst experiences about Indian food. The food was pathetic, we ordered chicken and lamb curry it was disaster. The rice was dried and was tasteless. The portion of curry is small and can serve only one person. The cost of food is average. Ambiance is average with some soft instrumental music. Seating arrangement was also provided outside. I dont recommend this place , Indian food is not like this .

This place is close to the church and shopping Street on Essen. I was surprised to find this restaurant using Google maps. My expectations were very low. The owner was extremely helpful with additional requests for a mobile charger. I ordered veg thali here. Surprised with the authentic Indian taste of food. It came with 3 vegetables, roti, rice dal and sweet. Must place to eat at Essen for everyone. Best place for Indian vegetarian food. Go for thali. There are other options, i expect the same quality and taste.

We really enjoy the food! We ordered some vegetables dish with bread and it was very good! I also asked for my dish not to be spicy and it was perfect for me! Really recommend!

I was here today with my friend from India and we had a Non Veg Grill platter, Moong Dal, Rice and Raita… everything was prepared nicely and to our Indian taste. Would love to be served again by the friendly staff - Mr. Pradeep. Thank you. We shall come again. 😊

Authentic, yummy Indian cuisine. There’s so much of choice ! We arrived just before closing time, and they were kind enough to accept our order. The food was really delicious, and the ambience seemed cool as well. Highly recommended !

Very very disappointed with this restaurant's staffs I came with my little boy for indian food I came from dusseldorf because this restaurant closed 11 pm showed in google map . After I reached around 10:50 pm the person with beard he said it's closed because of holiday but showed him in google timing it was showing 11 pm but he didn't said anything he said we are closed even there was people seating and drinking eating . Things is my little boy like indian food even I came from Dusseldorf even I requested little boy he like to eat something but that guy didn't listen anything even didn't apologize. If full of reserved then no problem he said 10 pm closed but google shown 11 pm closed people was there inside of restaurant also outside . It was not that much busy . They forget kindness for little boy he was rude with me .

Great food at a great location! Variety of options cooked to perfection! The quantity of Biryani could be a bit more for the price.

Came for lunch with friends . Nice staff helpful and friendly . Reasonable prices . Food came quickly and served hot . Although it’s not the best Indian food I do think it’s was nice and would go again .

Great Restaurant with great staff. Everything is freshly made and really delicious. Prices are really fair! You get for every dish a big bowl with rice.

The food was okay, not so great I personally didn't like it at all Naan was nice but sabzi wasn't good at all. It was like a liquid Gravy We had a vegetarian food here and i won't come here again

Hello, (Usually I only post negative reviews for any resturant but this is one of the few occasions where owner deserves a positive review.) Food was much better than any of the Indian restaurants food in Essen. Humility is something that I learnt here for first time. Once someone greets you with a smile and folded hands, almost all of your grievances vanish at that point. This is something that I don't see much often. Mr. Singh, had been very great and kind resturanteur. I would like to thank him for his kindness and hospitality. ( Gourav )

Ambience is quite basic. Food is ok. Not so out of box, but verity is there in menu.

Far from being authentic and more like home cooked, Did not taste good at all, they have no idea how to cook ! I wouldn't recommend eating any rice based dish. Bad service too.

Lovely restaurant with wonderful food! We would’ve ordered even more if we hadn’t snacked at the Weihnachtsmarkt beforehand. I recommend!
