I do not recommend ... We booked with U Forta through in august 2022. Little did we know that we would never see our money back again when they cancelled our reservation. Despite multiple messages through booking platform and direct email, we were never refunded.

We stayed in a 2-person hotel room with kitchenette. Room was modern and clean and the kitchenette well-equipped. Location is great for hiking. Deducting 1 star, as the walls are thin and you hear a lot of noise and the internet and TV connections are spotty.

My opinion is solely about the restaurant. Rather avoid this place for eating. It looks like food is prepared for whole week a just heat-up before serving. The good thing is you are served immediately however the taste is far behind local competitors. The worst however is the payment by card depends on the mood of the waiter. We were told we must pay in cash because terminal is not having signal. The strange was that we all had good internet connection in our smartphones. Will never use this poor restaurant in the future

Nice small hotel in the heart of Czech Swiss in a very convinient location. New clean rooms and friendly staff.

We stayed 2 nights in the bungalow G with breakfast. The room was very cozy and nicely designed. The bed could have used a big mattress rather than 2 separate ones. It would be much more practical, and you would get into the gap between the two matresses while cuddling. The terrace was a great bonus, although we could not use it due to the weather. The room could have been cleaner, but it was still alright. The receptionists were friendly, and we could communicate in English. The first day, the breakfast was just ok because we got there too late. The fried eggs were cooked in the heated container and were more like boiled eggs (the real boiled eggs were cold), but that was our fault. You should definitely be earlier at the breakfast buffet. The second day, the breakfast was much better. There was cheese, meat, sausages, cake, cornflakes, boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, fruits, vegetables, and more to choose from. On our second night, we ate at the restaurant. The food was good and we were satisfied with our meal, but there are also better options nearby. Service was fast and efficient. You can only pay by cash, and if you pay with euros, they charge more, but it was not a big problem for us.

Laut Buchungsseite eine "hundefreundliche Unterkunft", die das Mitbringen von Haustieren erlaubt - droht dann aber mit Strafzahlungen in Höhe von mehreren tausend CZK, wenn man seinen Hund mitbringen möchte. Sehr schade, ganz dubiose Praktiken, auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen.

Wir sollten für das Restaurant im Außenbereich unserem Hund einen Maulkorb aufsetzen. Er ist kein Kampfhund oder Ähnliches. Andere Hunde hingegen durften im Restaurant ohne Maulkorb sein. Sehr unverständlich...

Schöne Anlage. Ruhige Lage. Kindern wird der Teich mit den Bisamratten gefallen. Es gäbe auch viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern, wenn da nicht der Waldbrand gewesen wäre. Sollte aber mit der Zeit besser werden. Solange kann man z.B. die gute Busverbindung nutzen und auf der deutschen Seite Wandern gehen. Zimmer waren sauber und modern eingerichtet. Dadurch, dass die Zimmer recht lang sind und es nur ein Fenster auf der kurzen Seite gibt, funktioniert das Lüften kaum. Eine Klimaanlage wäre in dem Fall von Vorteil gewesen. Außerdem gibt es trotz kleiner Küche keine Möglichkeit verderbliche Lebensmittel im Kühlschrank aufzubewahren, da dieser sehr klein ist und bereits voll ist von den Minibarartikeln. Das Essen im Restaurant war gut und nicht besonders teuer. Auch das enthaltene Frühstück war ziemlich gut. Frisches Obst, Kuchen, Rührei, Würstchen, Müsli usw. Einziger Kritikpunkt zum Frühstück ist der Kaffee: Handelt sich wohl um Instantkaffee dem Geschmack nach. Jetzt der größte Kritikpunkt: Mir ist aufgefallen, dass die Mitarbeiter etwa um 7Uhr in der Früh mit der Arbeit beginnen und dann bis um 21-22Uhr arbeiten. An 5 Tagen in der Woche. Das sind 14-15 Stunden Arbeit+Pause und nur 9 Stunden zwischen den Schichten. In Deutschland wäre das nicht legal und ich würde es bevorzugen, wenn der Preis angehoben wird und dafür die Mitarbeiter entlastet.

One of the best Czech restaurants we’ve experienced. Tender meat dishes, large portions, and a mountain cabin feel. Very recommended.

A very nice stop with affordable prices. I had the beef with bread dumplings. Certainly not a dumpling you have ever had unless you are Czech. The sauce was rich and flavorful. The beef was exquisite tender but a bit too overcooked for my liking. The beer was a good pour a for UNDER $2 US. If you make it to the park this restaurant is worth a stop.

There is tasty meal but the stuff doesn't speak English. It isn't a problem as well. The waiter took the order, pretending to understand everything. my portion of food (salad and main course) was brought quickly. My husband didn't get food at all. no one was surprised that the man did not eat. when trying to figure out where the order was, the waiter shook his head "I don't understand". If you do not understand, then why pretend that everyone understands? especially since we showed the courses in the menu by the finger. the summary is the meal is good, but don't try use English. you will be hungry for a long time.

Für den Service zu teuer. Das Waschbecken wurde in 4 Tagen nicht einmal geputzt, Haare, Zahnpaster. Der Teppich im Zimmer wurde nicht einmal gesaugt. Das Bettzeug wurde lieblos zusammen geworfen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war immer höflich und zuvorkommend. Das Personal beim Frühstück und im Restaurant schien schlechtgelaunt und unfreundlich. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass man nicht willkommen wäre . Das Frühstück war unterirdisch, flüssiges Rührei, verbrannten Speck, pappige Brötchen. Es fehlte auch eine Möglichkeit, wo die Gäste aus dem Hotel draußen zusammen sitzen könnten. Es fehlt auch ein kleiner Kiosk mit den Dingen des täglichen Bedarfs. Abschließend kann ich sagen, dass ich die Ferienanlage nicht weiterempfehlen kann.

+ card payment and finally someone in the area speaks English. I appreciate well-done meat, but the whole dish is so-so. Czech cuisine is not for me and it turns out that I am not looking forward to eating the local dishes. Two courses and lemonade cost around 440. Homemade lemonade was very good.

You run into this place right after doing the hike. Food is well priced and very good. The place is cozy and the hosts are very nice. When we were unable to get back to our train station, they offered to take us by car which was very kind of them. I would recommend them.

We only had late lunch here. Great options in the daily menu. Enjoy the food and drinks. Beautiful toilets. Some connectivity issues with card terminal but cards are accepted. 9/10

Lage tiptop für Wanderungen in der böhmischen Schweiz. Mit Bussen geht es direkt zu den Klammen oder dem Steintor. Allerdings muss man ganz schöne Höhenmeter erklimmen (was einem keiner sagt...:-)). Hotel generell auch ok, aber woher die 4 Sterne kommen, keine Ahnung. Wir hatten für 4 Personen reserviert. Zimmer sauber, aber das zugestellte Reisebett völlig unbrauchbar (jede einzelne Feder gehört und gespürt). Der Service war katastrophal: Nachfrage nach Topper fürs Reisebett ignoriert, Zimmerschlüssel abends einfach auf die Theke gelegt und Klopapier wurde nicht ersetzt (erst nach Nachfrage). Frühstück am zweiten Tag suboptimal - Spiegeleier und Rührei mit Graustich. Aber der Kucken ist super. Insgesamt preislich auch nicht der Kracher. Nicht wieder zu empfehlen.

We tried their kulajda soup and it was very good. They also have the perfect location, almost everyone stops there when coming back from the trail. So they don’t have to try too hard and still have plenty of guests. Service was fast but waiters were just rude. Cash only. Would not come here again.

Wir haben zwei Nächte dort geschlafen, mit Frühstück und haben einmal im Wirtshaus gegessen. Die Zimmer sind ansprechend, sauber und praktisch. Das Frühstück war gut, leider gab es nur zwei Heißgetränke pro Person. Abendessen war sehr gut, es gab auch leckere vegetarische Alternativen. Leider hat das Dessert den guten Eindruck verdorben. Die Ausgangslage des Hotels ist fantastisch, Wandermöglichkeiten ohne Ende. Leider muss sich die Natur vom Waldbrand wieder erholen. Dann kommen wir aber bestimmt wieder!

What a cool place. In a prime location for all sorts of hiking & exploring the national park. Super comfortable bed, kind staff, and good food. Will certainly return next time I’m on holiday.

Heating in the room doesn’t work! The receptionist just left home at 20:00 and haven’t solved the problem with the room even though we asked at the check-in if it works ok. No one answers our calls. So we are left with 3 small kids alone. Highly not recommend. To build such a hotel and not to make proper heating. What a great idea!

Nice restaurant staff, excellent food, traditional czech food and also modern and vegetarian menu. Beautiful accommodation (we didn't use it), I recommend it

The restaurant food is very good and the service quick. We tried the wild boar and the chocolate cake and it was delicious. The breakfast is not so good, the bread was hard, the were no toaster and the coffee wasn't good. The hotel side is nice, staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nice and clean and the place is quiet. Overall is a great place to explore the national park.

Room is spacious and clean, a great view because the houses are far apart. Great location. You can literally go on a hiking trail in front and back of the hotel.. unfortunately due to the fires some trails are closed. But you can still reach everything easily. Great trail to the canyon where we had a boat ride which was very entertaining. And one bus ride away back from the Prebischtor. Breakfast wasn’t impressive but ok. Dinner was so delicious, service is nice and food came quickly. All in all highly recommend and definitely dinner in the restaurant at the hotel not the one on the opposite side of the street.

Food here was great and honestly a pleasant surprise! We really enjoyed our lunch and im sad we only got to eat here once. Friendly prices and great quality of the food, if you want something more fancy and healthy definitely eat here 😻
