Informative talk on the process of producing and manufacturing silk. Get to hold live silk worms and cocoons. Good demonstration of weaving. Free welcome drink of mulberry juice. 100k VD per person.

Amazing tour of the making of mulberry silk! Huong was a great guide and we got to ask so many questions. We also learned how to recognize real silk. The tour is 100.000 vndpp, so around $4 and the lasts about 45min. it’s one of the nicest places we visited in hoi an. Free mulberry juice is included in your tour price and the coffee at the cafe is also well priced (18.000 vnd for a black coffee). I think many people deter from going here as they see photos of the resort in google maps - but there is so much more to explore there. the village has a whole area with beautiful, old buildings to explore. We were initially discouraged by a tailor in Hoi An old town to go here. She stated this village no longer do tours - probably worried we would take our silk purchase here. In the end I did buy one item as it’s very fairly priced - however unlike the tailor, there was absolutely no pressure to buy anything which we enjoyed:)

Came here & was very confused where to go to learn about the silk. Maybe you need to come with a tour in order to do it? Not sure. It’s a hotel & silk museum in 1 place. We saw there was 1 room with silk info but It seemed empty & the staff didn’t know English so they didn’t understand we wanted to go do a silk tour when we asked.

A group of small villas and a building of hotel rooms, a combination of hotel and cocoon product tours. I got a room at the 5th floor of 5-floor building with the swimming pool view. A beautiful view to the mountains around is the highest score. The room is pretty small, less lights, i have no idea why it is too less lights here, it’s not enough lights for us to make up. The room is good in overall except the toilet and bathroom design, only 1 door used for toilet and bathroom. It’s designed for couples other than friends. If one guy is using the toilet, the other guy will use bathroom without door and against haha. Besides, there is no clothe hangers in the bathroom. Any guy baths, he has to step out to get the towels and clothes because there is no way to bring the clothes along with in the bathroom. I think this is a disaster in bathroom design. The guests have to dress in outside the bathroom haha, unbelievable. The foods here is ok for me.

Very interesting experience if you're interested in silk production and being able to tell real from fake silk. They give you a tour starting with the silk worm lifecycle, then outline traditional and more modern methods of silk production. Then finish off with a demonstration to teach you how to determine real silk, from cotton, from polyester.

Fantastic place to stay. The hospitality was unmatched. Thuy took care of everything for us. Couldn't ask for more from a hotel. Exceed all expectations

A very scenic and pretty place. We didn't take the tour as we had already seen silk weaving elsewhere so we cannot comment on that.

Very interesting, the tour spoke relatively good english but you have to be patient and listen. Ask questions to understand. My family and I love it.

Below is My experience and this might not apply at all times. The place was empty when I went there. No one was there. Not sure if worth visiting.

Loved this location! We are on a tour throughout Vietnam for 2 weeks and are traveling from the south to the north and Silk Village and it's staff have been nothing short of amazing. The property is spotless.... there are at least 2 pools that are clean and have plenty of chairs. Our room was spacious, clean, had everything we needed in it including an outdoor sitting area plus a huuuuuuge king+ bed! The staff was extremely helpful with getting us taxis, exchanging currency, and giving us directions. 2 particularly helpful ladies there were Thinh and Linh. They had to be THE most helpful and assertive members of Silk Village. I see both of them as "The face" of Silk Village!

Did the silk making tour of 45mins and got a great explanation about where silk comes from, how it's made and how to recognise it. It cost 100.000 vnd per person and included a welcome drink. Would definitely recommend stopping by this place.

We stayed 3 nights at the resort with family and friends. The rooms are confortable, service is excellent. Everything really well kept. Staff is incredibly kid and attentive Food at the restaurant is not one of the bests, unfortunately.. but the breakfast is good. The resort has a spa for massage, the silk village - with guided tours, kids club and gym. They also have q beach club at silk beach and the shuttle for the transport Despite of the fact they have shuttle to the old town , i can say the hotel ks a little bit far away and u get isolated from old town. But thankfully, it's a great hotel, so if u are not so interested about going out to the oldtown it might not be a big issue.

Must visit place, when in Hoi An. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour which explained so much about silk production.

A really interesting look into the silk production process, you can get right up close with the silkworms and watch them make the cocoons. A huge selection of silk products in the gift shop too

History about how silk is made in Vietnam and how it is made. They will show you from starting the formation of silk, you will only be able to see some phases of silk worm lofe cycle depending on which day you visit. Price- 100.000 dong/person

11/10, Beyond my expectations! It's very nice and affordable hotel in Hoi An. At first, I got a room without a bathtub but I called a receptionist as it's different from what it's showed in the offer when I booked it. Then they upgrade my room for free. The room is spacious, no issue with water, and the facility is awesome! They have 2+ swimming pool, free bicycle, free shuttle to go to a beach and old town, restaurants, free silk tour, gym, and the breakfast is tasty! Staffs are very respectful, helpful and friendly! Oh and the spa is super amazing! My husband and I want to go back there just for the spa hahahahha

Such an intricately beautiful hotel, everywhere single area of the large hotel grounds is jaw dropping, photos simply do not do this place justice. Even the blank walls have various artworks on them and the gardens were so lush. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return again.

Great resort and excellent staff! I ended up staying here for 2 weeks. Good breakfast variety and excellent cleanliness. Thank you for my lovely gift too 😁

Cool place, cheap tour, definitely worth it. Have never thought of all the methods that go into making a simple layer of fabric. The tour is short, but immersive, you can ask questions and their English is flawless.

Good service, friendly staff. Can rent a bike for free through them to get around hoi an. Room was neat.

A nice resort with a collection of shops that sell silk products, as well as some nice decor for photos. We didn’t stay here, but it was a cool place to check out and the pricing for the silk products here were quite reasonable.

As a tour to find out about the silk making, terrible. Didn't pay a lot yet i felt super scammed. It was literally just 1 single house 2 rooms. A single showroom... Turbo scam

  • 5/5 Ben G. 1 year ago on Google
Nice tour for a good price and some after-tour drinks included. Definitely a cool place to stop for 1-2 hours and a must-see for the fashion oriented. 👍

  • 5/5 Linh T. 1 year ago on Google
well-designed slightly in oriental style, scented room, charming pool and i love the bathroom area. the reception was so friendly and supportive tho they were kinda overloaded when our group arrived, still see the bright smiles! bc it's not too close to the crowded ancient town, prob about 2km aways, so it quite peaceful while stayin here. the buffet dinner aint impressive but i think they do well in terms of concept, from menu to plating to restaurant decoration. same to buffet breakfast, good but not impressive.
