This was a traditional, welcoming and very homely accommodation with the best host ever! From the moment we arrived, to the day we left, we very much enjoyed our stay at An Bang Stilt House. We loved our home cooked meals, the convenience of ready-next-day laundry service, local breakfast options, being able to take free bicycles and get to the beach and market nearby. Kim even has a filtered tap water dispenser so you always have clean water to drink and refill your bottles with. It's a short taxi ride to Hoi An Old Town too. Super lovely host and family that really took care of us during our time with them in Hoi An. Thank you Kim!

Host is amazing.. location for us super. Good value.. We were most fortunate to find this traditional stilt house home stay. The wood house was moved from the north of Vietnam to its current location by Kim and her husband who have a passion for Vietnamese traditional style. It is in a neighborhood approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach town of An Baan. The host even has complimentary bicycles if you’d prefer to further explore the area.. Old town Hoi An is an inexpensive cab ride away $3 or $4 and cars are easily available. You can also walk into town which takes less than one hour if so inclined. The accommodation is simplistic, spacious and comfortable with ample hot water, fast stable wi-fi, great air conditioning plus a small refrigerator. A tasty homemade breakfast is also included. The coffee is delicious by the way. Kim formerly worked in the travel industry, so if you need advice, travel tickets , tour ideas , excursions, restaurant recommendations or any information all thing Vietnamese, Kim is a wealth of information and can sort it all. Even providing inexpensive transfers to and from Da Nang airport. She also provides laundry service, a plus whilst traveling. A 2 minute walk away in the neighborhood there is a mini mart incase you need to replenish any of your travel needs. Kim is the heart and soul of this homestay. She is sincere and passionate about her guests getting the most out of their holiday, nothing appears too much trouble. If we had asked her for the moon and stars, I believe she would have tried to get them for us. Any questions… Kim is just an message away and responds on the spot. So if you are as inquisitive as us.. look no further.. you will be greeted by a cute tiny lady with a huge smile and a heart of gold. Doing the upmost to make you feel at home. Sent from my iPad

First of all, let me tell you that the heart and soul of this place it's the lovely owners! From the beginning, till the end, Kim made me warmly welcome, she was genuinely helpful and she cares a lot about every single guest. She contacted me before arrival to make sure that she will be there for the check in, and she waited till 7 pm to show me around (ever though I later learnt that there were no other guests checking in that day). She made me a hot ginger tea with honey, sat down with me to explain everything about the house and the area, and she even helped me with ordering a scooter ride-share to save money and time with getting into town that night. She asked me what I would like to have for breakfast next day, so that she can go to the local markets and buy fresh produce in the morning. Seriously, I have not seen such level of guest-care many times in my numerous travels. Breakfast was delicious, whether you go with Western or Vietnamese meal (I recommend you try the local food for breakfast, it's a real deal, all homemade by Kim herself). The room was cosy and very spacious. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and I had everything I needed. Wifi is working fast, drinking water was provided on arrival and I actually appreciated the fact that Kim told me to keep the plastic bottles and refill them at their home filtered-water station. I am used to refilling and carrying my own water bottle everywhere I go, and that was a nice relief after feeling terrible about having to purchase all all that bottled-water everywhere else in Vietnam. The house itself is very atmospheric, I loved the timber stilts and the beautiful home-garden. The property is in a walking distance from the local beach, but I used the bikes to go everywhere. As a little farewell gift, Kim gave me a pack of delicious Vietnamese coffee that I enjoy until today and cherish as a great memory from my last holidays abroad before covid hit. I really hope I'll be back! Finally, I would like to urge all travellers to support independent family businesses by booking directly. As a person who knows tourism industry inside out, I know what a massive difference that can make. We all want places like this to survive this travel crisis and that's one thing we can all do to support them.

Second time at Kim’s place. She is just the best hostess. She assists with everything you need. She helped us book train tickets, recommended best food and coffee, and fantastic massages are offered right in a spa at the house. The breakfast is wonderful and there are free bicycles to ride. Next time we are staying longer! She even packed us fruit boxes for the train. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture

Right from the get go, Kim, our host went out of her way to make us comfortable. She was kind enough to brief us about what was around us, and took the time to tell us about what to be careful of, owing to the typhoon that was around the corner. The breakfast she made was with so much love, and the room was very comfortable too! Not only is this homestay aesthetic, but it’s a great experience on the outskirts of Ancient Town!

Kim shouldn't be a Superhost. She should be the UBERHOST! Thanks to Kim and hubby, our stay in their lovely wooden An Bang Stilt House was very memorable, albeit for only one night. She was very helpful, kind, and attentive to our needs, but also incredibly well connected to local businesses. Need a massage? No problem, she'll sort it out for you... insitu- we had one of the best foot massages in a long time. Need an ao dai tailor made for your missus? Say no more. She'll get that sorted for you with a good price! Need transportation in, out, and around Hoi An and neighbouring provinces? There are no issues there. She'll help with that. She even organised a food tour with a local guide, Jackie, who was marvellous. We experienced a few hours of gastronomical fun as we navigated through the wondrous streets of Hoi An, sampling scrumptious food and learning nuggets of local history along the way. Jackie was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and gregarious. We highly recommend this food tour, so please do let Kim know, and she'll hook you up with Jackie! An Bang is just a short walk to the beach where you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to seafood restaurants. The room is clean and charming and has a shared balcony where you can enjoy breakfast prepared by Kim. After a long day exploring Hoi An, An Bang is the perfect place to return to (just a short car ride) for some quiet solitude. Rest assured, Kim, we will return and stay longer. In the meantime, we will spread the word and let friends and family know how phenomenal YOU, your family, and An Bang Stilt House is!

It was my 1st solo vacation to Vietnam and the owner of this homestay/ hotel Kim was extremely instrumental in helping get tours arranged , providing welcome and farewell meal and the room was just the space you would need near the beach. The proximity to An Bang Beach was the best part. Lots of options for sea food . However , Kim's hospitality and effort to make my trip unforgettable and comfortable wasan icing on the cake . Surely coming back !!!

Unmatched hospitality and kindness. Our host, Kim, is probably one of the nicest people you'll meet in Vietnam! So helpful and such a good cook. Rooms are clean and spacious, with air conditioning and fast wifi. They also make the best bubble tea and milk tea. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

We stayed 2 nights at Kim's place and it was very nice. She gave us good tips where we could find the beach, best tailor and things to do. The room had a comfortable bed and a nice shower; in mid of Vietnam the air can be humid, so the big doors are very nice to refresh the air inside the room. She also provided (small) bikes to cycle to the center and I enjoyed the breakfast. She's always willing to help and even gave some fruits for our train trip. Highly recommended!

Kim is an exceptional person and her property is superb for families and couples. It's near An bang beach and at the perfect spot. Kim is proactive and clear in communication. The rooms are very neat, clean and cozy. It gives you a home feeling. She serves amazing breakfast too. We loved it at Kims'. She truly is a super woman :D

Our stay at this authentic Vietnamese beach villa was exceptionally enjoyable. Kim, the owner and her family couldn’t have done anything more to make us comfortable and happy. The rooms are large and clean with a choice of ground floor or first floor accommodation. There is a dedicated spa room where an affordable massage can be arranged. The courtyard is full of tropical plants, tastefully adorning the breakfast area. A short walk to a quiet beach was great. We will return for another visit in the future. Judy

I spent four nights here with my friends and it was one of the best place in our entire trip! Kim, the host, is very friendly and was always ready to help us finding the right place to go. The breakfast is excellent and we could choose between "salty" vietnamese cousin or a "sweet" one with pancakes with fruit. Both of them were delicious and served with either coffee or fresh juice. I want to finish stressing how much passion the host puts in every detail from giving you a perfect room to helping you with everything you need.

Clean, stylish and trendy decorations. More importantly, the host, Kim, is helpful n provide valuable information for tourist. I have stayed in Vietnam for quite a while and this is highly recommended. 2 minutes walking distance to the quite side of the long beach. Incredible. We have three meals a day here for good taste n cleanses.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The owner and her family are the most wonderful people and terrific hosts. Breakfast is delicious!!! The rooms are huge and well maintained. The location is perfect for a quick bike ride to the beach and a cheap taxi/Grab into town. We’re already talking about a second visit in the future. :-D

A splendid place to stay. Kim has been an amazing host and help us to organise our scooter trip from Hoi An to Hue. Cool breakfast, free bike, nice room and close to the beach.
