Honestly, amazing! And not a party hostel! I CAN SLEEP! haha The guy named Ha is amazing, literally will try the best he can to help you anyway he can, just ask. Customer Service is amazing! One of the best hostels I've stayed. Tours offered here can be pricey, I don't recommend it and do it online rather. BUT do it anyways for convenience sake if you don't mind the price :) Other than that, outstanding place! PS. The only thing I ask to benefit other travelers is to remind everyone or put a sign to keep the main lobby doors close. Because the humidity comes in and the AC comes out, and it gets completely hot inside. Many travelers just leave it open, and it just makes people inside the lobby and eating area feel uncomfortable. Just sharing some input. Besides that, still an amazing hostel

I enjoyed a stay here in April so muck that I returned. This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in anywhere. The rooms are good with decent comfortable beds; the bathrooms are well fitted and lovely and clean and the communal area is a great place to hang out and even has good food which is reasonably priced. At 55 I’m not a young man and even too old to get backpackers insurance, yet people were really welcoming and I never felt out of place. In fact I met and made friends with people from all over the world. All in all, Little Charm really is a great place to which I’d return and be happy to recommend.

This hostel was recommended to me by a traveler I met along the way, and I’m glad I took her advice. It seems more like a hotel than a hostel. I’m in my mid thirties and thought the place was very age appropriate with people of all ages staying there. It is definitely not a party hostel which I enjoyed. I would think a person my age or older would enjoy this place a little more, the younger crowd may want more of a social environment. But I have no complaints and even extended my stay . I really enjoy the walking tour run by Ha too . I have an wonderfull stay .

The hostel is located at the ancient city and it’s convenient to go around, explore things. The staff is friendly and very supportive. Minh gave me some good advice during my stay. I highly recommend for those travel to Hanoi and wanna stay at places with pp from all over the world. The cleanness get 5 stars. The room is well organized, they do cleaning daily. I loved the swimming pool. I didn’t expect the comfortable like the hostel when I was booked on the app.

We had a great stay at this hostel in Hanoi. The rooms are nice and it has a great location. The staff is very nice and they offer free walks through the old town. We did one with Ha and it was very cool! He showed us a temple, food market, spice market and train street. He did a great job and was a lot of fun. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hanoi.

Nice hostel with comfortable beds. We were staying in Hanoi over the New Year and we stayed at Little Charm for 5 days. We were only planning staying two days but we ended up getting sick and the staff were able to coordinate and extend our stay. They were very understanding and accommodating. Having the restaurant downstairs was convenient for the nights that we didn't want to go anywhere and it was decent. The rooms were nice and spacious with lockers to lock up our things, the curtains were dark as well and kept out most of the light that was in the room. The showers were nice and hot and were cleaned everyday. I would stay at Little Charm again on my next trip to Hanoi

Convenient and pleasant stay at the Little Charm Hostel in the city center. The place itself is charming and has a swimming pool. Rooms and facilities are clean. We also appreciated their breakfast menu (vegetables omelette was my favorite). Special thanks to Galvin who helped us planning our Northern Vietnam trip with a perfect itinerary for 2 weeks. We had a lot of fun speaking to him! The only downside in that hostel is the quality of the guests, many uneducated people that make so much noise during the night (phone calls in the room, several high volume alarms in the early morning, speaking out loud in the room… etc). I recommend at 100% the stay. Thanks

This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. A/C blows cold air in the rooms 24/7. 10 hour express laundry service works great. Very clean facility. Good food at the restaurant all day. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Thanks to Emma my trip was incredible. Due to her professionalism and attention to detail all my adventures were all flawlessly planned and carried out. This has been one of the best trips of my life thanks to Little Charm Hanoi Hostel.

I stayed here on 2 separate nights during my short visit to Vietnam, on the day of my arrival to the country and the day before my departure. The facilities, bed, room & furnishing are all very new and well maintained, the toilet and shower facilities are incredibly clean (the best I have seen during my entire stay in Vietnam), I hope it continues to remain this way. The only bad experience I had was from some of the guests that were staying in the same dorm as me. On the first night, there was a German girl who kept talking to her friend on the phone during the night and also 2 other guys in the room that kept coughing throughout the night as well, on my second night, another Vietnamese guy was also on the phone the entire night with his friend (and he keeps clearing his throat the whole night as well). I guess this is hard to avoid as you are booking into a shared accommodation after-all and none of this is the fault of Little Charm Hanoi Hostel, although it would be nice if the hostel management educate their guest at the start to keep quiet when in the room as a common courtesy to other room-mates.

✨Great Hostel for Solo Travelers with Excellent Tours!💫 I recently stayed at this hostel for four nights as a solo backpacker, and it was a fantastic experience. The hostel was very nice and hygienic, providing everything I needed in the bunk bed area. The room had a big locker, and the curtains covering the beds offered privacy when needed. It is located in the busy area so everywhere you need to go is within walking distance. - I booked two day tours to Ninh Binh and Halong Bay through the hostel, and they were amazing. The tours were trustworthy, provided great value for money, and had attentive English-speaking tour guides. I had a superb outdoor nature-bonding experience during these trips. - I have to mention the staff member named Emma, who not only recommended these tours but also provided exceptional service throughout my stay. Emma was very attentive to details, helpful, and friendly. She provided constructive recommendations and made sure that the tour guides remembered me and took care of me throughout the day.

I really liked this hostel, the first 2 nights I stayed in the female 4 dorm which was great, I extended my stay and had to move to the 6 bed dorm but it was still great. The beds are super comfortable and lockers are a good size, people were respectful, the shower and toilets were great and always clean. The staff seem to run efficiently. The only thing that miffed me a little was the tour booking staff - I asked about tours and told him I didn’t like fancy and just wanted a boat trip. He first tried to sell me the cruise to Ha Long Bay for 2 nights which was some ridiculous price $$$, each time I said that’s not my style he came to a cheaper one. In the end I left it and booked it in Cat Ba for 550,000vnd which was perfect. Considering the clientele a hostel attracts it might be better to listen and offer something more suitable.

Stayed here 3 nights. The guy who was at the reception for my first night was nice but the girl who I saw the second night was not welcoming at all. No eye contact, and when I was confused with Vietnamese currency, she took my money without showing me and said do you understand (still no eye contact) in a vey unfriendly manner. I didn’t want/need to feel upset when I’m staying to just sleep after a long day trip.

Stayed here for 5 days and the service is excellent! Clean and comfy rooms, well-maintained restrooms, a decent pool, and digital-nomad friendly cafe/restaurant. They also offer tour packages with free breakfast. Galvin, the staff who assisted me for my tours, was very helpful and considered a top performer. Highly recommended!

As a budget traveler, I stayed at Little Charm Hanoi Hostel located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, Vietnam. The hostel offers shared mixed rooms and only female dormitory rooms, with 6 and 8 beds per room as options for mixed dormitories. The hostel is well-located and very convenient for exploring the Old Quarter and other popular tourist attractions in Hanoi. The hostel provided basic amenities such as free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, a swimming pool, luggage storage, laundry services, and a restaurant serving Western-oriented food. In general, the hostel offers a comfortable and convenient living space for travelers, although it is important to note that the size of the rooms varies depending on their location within the building. Some rooms may be more spacious than others. Additionally, certain facilities within the hostel, such as the showers, lockers, and doors, may require maintenance. Little Charm Hanoi Hostel also offered tours to popular attractions in Hanoi and the northern part of Vietnam. However, I noticed that the tours were 20-30% more expensive than those offered by other tour offices in the city, even for the same services and companies. Additionally, I had concerns about the quality of the tour operators recommended by the hostel and had to do research and read reviews before booking. Despite that, I had bad experiences with the three tours that I booked at the Hostel. I also found that the information provided about tours can be overly optimistic, and the support provided by the hostel when issues occurred was minimal and not always in my best interest. Overall, Little Charm Hanoi Hostel may be a suitable option for budget-conscious travellers looking for a convenient location in Hanoi. However, I would advise being aware of the potential limitations of the hostel's amenities and services, as well as the need for careful consideration when booking tours through the hostel.

It’s a very nice and clean hostel, staff was friendly. However, when I checked in I left my shoes downstairs bc I didn’t want to pullute the area. When I came to pick them up, staff had removed them. They couldn’t find them for me in time for my check out and so now I don’t have shoes and leaving the country on slippers. Staff wasn’t interested and just continued sleeping

Modern & well maintained hostel. Clean dorms, with multiple washrooms on each floor. Adjustable air conditioning in each room allows for a pleasant sleep. Relaxed atmosphere. Very good value at around 200k per night.

The reception staff is quite strange. When checking in, the receptionist asked to keep my passport for as long as I stay , if I don't tell them when checking out, the deposit of $50 will disappear. After I said the deposit, the money is missing and someone went to make a money exchange and there is a 15-minute wait. I have been to more than 40 countries. This is the first time I have met such a different team. + The cleaning staff and the hotel were clean.

the hostel have a strict rule about check in, but it don’t matter since they gave us a room to wait. beside that, the bedroom was clean, as well as the bathroom. the staff clean the bathroom every 7 am and clean the room every 11 am. the staff in receptionist speaking really good english. I want to gave special appreciation for Galvin, because he helps me a lot, especially when I need a quiet room to recording my voice (on working matters) and he gave a direction to access some secret area on the back of the building and it really works for me to finish my project. Thank you Galvin! Beside that, there is a pool with a manmade waterfall, you can enjoy and chit chat with other guests there. They also will help you find the best tour to join just if you want to going to Halong Bay or Ninh Binh. The location also very strategic, in the middle of Old Quarter and only needs 2 minutes walk to the Night Market.

this is by far the best hostel I've been to in Hanoi. the staff, the atmosphere, the rooms, the beds, facilities - EVERYTHING is just perfect. it feels like being in a hotel, staff is cool - (especially Ha❤️), making jokes all the time and very helpful and friendly. The lobby is a great place to work, relax and escape from the noise on the streets. Internet connection is strong, just as the coffee 🤞 5/5 stars - love you guys.

Not just a little charm. Very charming. When I walked in at 3, it worried that it was going to be a party hostel. Maybe it is, but in my room I didn't hear any music or noise at night. Slept like a baby. Comfortable bed. Enough storage space. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's a pool, didn't look very inviting. Lots of people ordering drinks and food in the morning. Location is perfect. The WC in the dorm is tiny, too tiny. I ended up using the loos outside the room. Atleast there are more. Great hostel nevertheless.

A note from a long stay guest: By far the best hostel experience I have received. I've been one of the longer guests staying here for close to 3 weeks since I am transitioning to live in Hanoi long-term and in between jobs. Since needing to extend my stay, the morning and afternoon's staff's hospitality is exceptional always willing to support with travel plans or unexpected setbacks and booking tours of Northern Vietnam. The beds are neat and tidy being washed and sheets changed every single day as well as getting a new towel everyday of my stay even though I had my own. The hotel simple smells nice which in the hostel world is sometimes not taken for granted. The pool is perfect to swim after walking in Hanois humidity. The lobby is the hub for meeting new friends.

Nice hostel. The room was clean and comfortable. The sound from swimming pool is loud though in the afternoon, but definitely not as loud as other hostel could be (partying and such). As you see from other reviews, this place feels like hotel instead of hotel. They have cafe and tour and everything. The laundry though, I took a fast laundry but they didn’t iron it. Maybe it’s not a thing here but anyway, very nice stay. Close to food market too.

Clean dorms, the most friendly and helpful staff (I was in touch a lot with Emma via WhatsApp prior to arriving and she helped me heaps, with booking trips, airport transfer info and also what plugs were in the rooms lol) - also locked myself out my room (my error) a million times and it was never an issue. I went on a trip for my birthday and she ensured the tour guides got me a cake. So so thoughtful. The property has reasonably priced water and beers etc available as well as food menu, luggage storage is safe. WiFi is fast. Showers and toilets are clean, and beds are comfy. I like the comfy chill out area. Sadly didn't get chance to use the pool as was too busy out exploring! Location is great, right in the old quarter of Hanoi, plenty of food and drink options nearby as is the case in this area. And air con in the rooms is awesome too. Top tip - pay for your room in cash or you get charged a surcharge for using credit card. Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a hostel in Hanoi.

What can I begin to say, the beds are soft the pool is refreshing. Gavin at the travel desk has gotten us out of a bind more times than we can count. From helping us book busses and trains when others get cancelled at a moments notice. Easily the nicest and most helpful place in Hanoi

  • 5/5 Patrick M. 6 months ago on Google
Galvin, who checked us in initially went above and beyond to organise transportation and tours even when we had left Hanoi. He provided us with his WhatsApp so we could resolve any problems at any time. I would 100% recommend this hostel due to Galvins outstanding service and the great beds and facilities that the hostel provided.

honestly one of the best hostel experiences ever! the place was so clean, bathrooms included. they provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and the bathrooms are completely sealed so i really appreciated the extra security. when checking in, the staff would either keep your passport or you'll have to put 200k vnd on hold until you check out. the food wasn't as great, so definitely venture out for local ones! it's in the main city stretch so that's also another plus.

  • 5/5 Kirra T. 8 months ago on Google
Great room! Curtain on the bunks. Was a little chilly but once I had the blanket it was great (some people would welcome the chill because it’s so hot out). Cute pool! Staff here were the friendliest I’ve met.

The hostel's cozy beds provided the perfect resting place after a long day exploring the city. Although I didn't have a chance to try it, the pool looked amazing, providing a relaxing atmosphere for guests. In addition to the great amenities, the tour offered by the hostel was worth every penny. The staff provided insightful knowledge about the city and its history, making the experience truly unforgettable. Overall, my stay at this hostel was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Felt pretty great for my first stay in a hostel! Very friendly and helpful staff (we made a new friend in Alvin), probably got us better rates than outside. Not to mention the excellent location. 10/10 would stay here the next time as well.

The hostel is located in the old quarter close to most touristic facilities. We came to this hostel 3 different times. We used it as a transfer hub to other locations. The staff was always willing to help and had good travel suggestions for us. Thanks emma for the wonderful time :)

We stayed here at the very start of our trip in Vietnam and chose to stay here again for our last night. The location is brilliant, the rooms are clean and to a good standard, the food and facilities (including an indoor swimming pool) are great. I cannot thank the staff enough for all of their help, and especially Emma, who is an asset to the team and the hostel. At the start of our travels, she helped us to organise different trips and transport. At the end of our trip, she booked us in last minute and helped us to arrange transport to the airport. Can’t recommend this place enough if you are visiting Hanoi.

Great hostel in a great location in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Rooms were clean and there were secure lockers for luggage. The whole place had a nice laid back feel to it. Galvin was great with helping us to book tours of Ninh Binh and the Ha Giang loop.

I recently had an amazing stay at Little Charm Hanoi Hostel. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff Emma, setting the tone for a wonderful experience., cozy rooms, and central location made it a standout choice. The blend of modern comfort and traditional design creates a welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was delightful, and the staff's hospitality was exceptional. For a memorable stay in Hanoi, I highly recommend Little Charm Hanoi Hostel.
