+ Nice homestead not too far from the National Park. (20 min walk) Rooms comfortable, beds not hard like in most places here in Vietnam. Staff quick to respond to any questions. Lot of dining options at the homestead. - Not a lot of dining options in the direct area. Homestead menu a bit pricey for local standards. Scooter rental also bit pricier compared to other tourist destinations. (But homestead flexible in renting hours) WiFi at room slow at times.

Rustic, simple, adequate for a short stay. Hammocks in covered public space are a nice feature. Rooms have air cond. and a fan. Beds are rather hard. Drinking water and ice are available free of charge. Some of the staff spoke some English and were friendly. Good value for the cheap price.

Really nice and cozy! Pet friendly and super green. However, there are not shops around and the prices for food are really high in comparison with what you get. I would come back anyway!

The rooms and food are quite expensive for Vietnam, but not for the area. The portions you get at the restaurant are quite small as well. But the location is fantastic, right next to the national park. And the setting and ambiance is quite nice.

I have always loved this place, but then, I've known it and it's owners nearly since it opened. They've expanded it considerably since those early days...most notably across the road. I get that they needed it to be a retreat for larger groups in order for it to be really viable. I just do what I can to avoid those peak times. For me, it is an ideal place for a mid-week escape from the city. Pack a few bottles of wine, a couple good books, a notebook, and then just sit on their patios and forget about Hanoi for a while. The older accommodation on the grounds are traditional houses from Hanoi that were relocated there to save them from destruction. They took them apart and rebuilt them on these grounds. Many Hanoians turn their noses up at them for being old fashioned, but in another generation, they will be legendary. The grounds themselves are beautiful, green, multi-tiered. Delightful. The owners and staff could not be more friendly. It can be a bit busy and loud (karaoke) on weekends, so plan accordingly. I personally have the flexibility to go off peak, and it makes all the difference.

This is fantastic place, with trees, nice view, swimming pool and some game. You should come if you want go back to nature. I love the view with many trees, flowers and quiet. There are 2 type areas for you to choose. The private room and dormitory room. The kitchen not very well. They close at 7 pm, the foods just so so. Free wifi. :)))

I always stay here when visiting. It has everything and several different kinds of accommodation all well appointed and spotless. Massive garden area and pool all well maintained. Great choice of food and drinks to at good prices. Perfect location for seeing all the nation Park and musiums close by and very quiet. Don't miss out on visiting K9 only 15 klm away. Ho Chi Minh history and beautiful gardens. Honestly this is one of the best I have experienced in all Vietnam after living here 6 years. You will need a full day to explore the 2 musiums only 1 klm walk away. Yes they really are that big. There's so much to see and do around this area it would be easy to spend a week. No I'm not affiliated in any way I I just think this is one of the best yet.

It was good for an overnight stay. Quiet, clean, and simple, the hosts were also able to give me information about the surrounding area. It also has an extensive menu and pretty good vegetarian food.

I decided to stop by for a night while cycling back from Hà Giang > Tuyên Quang > Việt Trì > Hà Nội. It was alright. If I hadn’t planned a long 150km day on the highway, the Ba Vì Family Homestay might have been a better option. However, this is closer to the park and I had stayed in a really nice homestay the previous night already. For me, it was convenient to have an on-site restaurant where I could order food whenever I needed (compared to a homestay, at least on this day). Rooms were a bit dated and AC smelled mildewy (I needed to dry my clothes). However, there was a nice bucket in the room for washing clothes. The location is nice and peaceful. The staff are nice enough. I was greeted by one of the male staff, who was super nice both at check-in and check-out. One of the female waitstaff was sweet and nice but kind of forgot my drink order a couple times. Not a big deal, but just don’t expect crazy good service.

Best home stay in Ba vi, price are low and staff are efficient with smile. The home stay is just under the Ba vi montagne so you are near to the walk pass

Good place to stay if you are interested in visiting the nearby national park. I think during low season you can try to negotiate a better price. We ordered fied noodles and breakfast at the homestay which were both tasty.

My favorite place to stay when heading to Ba Vi. The foods basic but good quality. The pool is a really cool feature while the accommodation is good.

Great, friendly place near all the tourist sites. Air conditioning in the room was very appreciated. Food onsite was ok, very convenient and with cold beer. Grounds are fun to explore. Didn't get to go for a swim in the little pool, though. Great price. Would go back if I was in the area. Loved the animals ♥️.

Spent 2 nights here last month. This place is truly a gem, perfect for a weekend getaway or whenever you want to calm your mind amidst the chaos of a city life. Located right at the foot of Mount Tan Vien, the place is surrounded by a lot of big trees. They even have a small bamboo forest next to the house. The grounds are spacious and well taken care of, very clean and tidy. There are a small swimming pool, swings, basketball court and children's playground. People were so gentle and kind. When they noticed that I was about to leave, one of the staff even waited for me and took me on her motorbike to the bus station after she finished her shift and was about to leave for the day (without me asking). Green, quiet and peaceful are all I remember about this place. Just remember to bring mosquito repellent (since there are lots of trees and bursts, there are quite lots of mosquitoes as you can imagine) and your favorite snacks then you are all set.
