Mo
Tao
Pagoda's
literal
name
is
Phuc
Khanh
Tu,
currently
led
by
Monk
Thich
Minh
Nguyet.
The
wooden
worship
objects
at
the
pagoda
such
as
incense
burners,
horizontal
panels,
parallel
sentences,
and
Buddha
statues
are
crafted
by
skilled
craftsmen
and
are
all
plated
with
gold.
The
pagoda
also
retains
a
precious
relic,
a
bell
cast
from
the
Tay
Son
period.
The
bell
body
is
0.69m
high
and
the
mouth
is
0.48m
wide.
The
handle
of
the
bell
has
a
beautiful
pigeon
shape.
The
bell
body
is
divided
into
4
parts.
The
top
is
engraved
with
Sanskrit
words,
the
bottom
is
embossed
with
dragons,
phoenixes,
and
leaves.
The
bell
was
created
by
Tran
Thai
An,
Hiep
Tran
of
An
Quang
Hung.
Through
the
Chinese
words
"Bao
Hung
spent
two
years
at
Nham
Tuat
cultivating"
we
know
that
the
bell
was
molded
in
the
last
year
of
the
Tay
Son
dynasty
and
the
following
year
(1803)
when
the
Nguyen
dynasty
took
control
of
the
whole
country.
New
bell
casting
completed.
The
bell
of
Mo
Tao
Pagoda
is
one
of
the
few
Tay
Son
bells
still
preserved
intact
today.
