Beautiful hotel in Hanoi. Great place to stay for business or vacation get away. The room was a great suite with balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast area was lovely and the staff is kind and very helpful. English language is not strong, but I wasn't expecting that. The staff worked very hard to speak to me in English and I was very thankful for their customer service and thoughtfulness. It's best to use a Google Translator app when you need assistance with difficult or complex sentences. Overall, the was an excellent choice for my trip and I'm so glad to have stayed here. My only complaint is with the laundry service price. Very over priced for washing clothes. This should be reviewed the managers should consider about half the current prices. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the hotel.

The rooms are small, and while they claim to be able to accommodate three people in a room, there is no space to manoeuvre once they move a third bed in. The buffet is middling- nothing to write home about. They have a couple of polite and helpful people on the front desk, but if you have to deal with the receptionist called Loan then congratulations- you’ve managed to meet the rudest person in hospitality. They will lose your things, claim to never have seen them, be rude to you about it; and then when you make official complaints and leave detailed reviews, write back claiming that the lost item that they had never seen and knew nothing about had magically surfaced in the most improbable of places after your departure. Considering how rude Loan was even when we asked if our tour bus had arrived, as well as the number of reviewers from South Asia complaining in Agoda about bad service, I wonder if this is a thing with Golden Silk. Either way, there’s nothing to recommend about them beyond the location.

This hotel is located at the centre of the city. It is very accessible to places for shopping and eating and site seeing. Everything is walking distance. There are 2 options of hotel rooms one with window and the other with balcony. With balcony onces are suites. The rooms were clean and tidy. They provide toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, bathroom and bathroom slippers. The breakfast was good. However this hotel doesn't have a restaurant. So incase you reach early to the hotel in the afternoon or evening this hotel doesn't provide in restaurant service and you need to find something outside. The waterbottles are not marked properly for which are in bar ( chargeable) and which are free so be careful on that note. Ice here cost $2, which is expensive. There are a few staff that are not very friendly and welcoming. Overall the experience was good.

room was mid with cracks and dead bugs blood smeared some parts of the wall. the bathroom needs a good deep clean as well as the shower heads to be fixed as water was overflowing onto the floor even when the shower door was closed. (the manager sent the doorman to resolve the shower head issue in which could have been more efficient if the manager himself came up as the doorman had to go down and report to the manager) buffet was limited on options but buffet hostess were super nice unlike the one manager. overall i think you can find a better hotel that won’t have as many issues also with better service.

Golden Silk is a nice boutique hotel at the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter. It's located at a convenient location within walking distance to many local attractions. The staff is attentive, pleasant, and helpful, especially Mr. Chi. We would consider staying here again in our future visits to Hanoi.

Ein schönes Hotel, mit einem sehr guten Frühstück und dazu mit einem schönen Blick über Hanoi. Das Restaurant befindet sich im 10. Stock und hat eine Dachterrasse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Hanoi, also perfekt für den ersten Tag in Hanoi. Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer ohne Fenster, deswegen würden wir dies vorher lieber mit dem Hotelpersonal abklären lassen, wenn wir hier noch einmal buchen.

Great location, really pleasant stayed. but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. This was one of the nicest hotel we stayed in Hanoi.

Fabulous room, huge suite, we're upgraded, bedroom with sitting and office area, very comfortable bed, luxury bathroom, super aircon, nice balcony with exotic views over city, staff were fabulous, breakfast tasty with excellent service, highly recommended

This was a great place to stay, the staff is exceptional, the room comfortable and the location is perfect. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars, with the only mark against it being that the wifi fluctuates between fine, and barely functional. We were only on the third floor with windows out To the street, but it surprisingly wasn’t very loud. A few honks at day time, but much quieter than some of the hotels I’ve stayed in in other cities (I’m looking at you Dalat). The location can’t be beat! Easy walking distance to all kinds of amazing things to do and eat! I also screwed up my reservation and came a day early, but they were able to accommodate me. A wonderful place to stay!

The whole experience was pleasant, staffs are friendly, super helpful receptionist who would recommend you decent places to eat/visit. Convenient location, walking distance to Hoan Kiem lake and many eateries nearby!

Well located place. Very close to famous lake and market. Nice breakfast, clean room and friendly staffs. We stayed there for four nights and they help us to arrange with the Halong Bay and city tour with very reasonable price. Recommended.

Staff were very friendly and helpful specially Lee and Van were exceptionally good. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a good layout and Len and Luyen did a great job. Highly recommended and keep it up.

I have stayed at Golden Silk Boutique hotel for the last 6 days, out of my 23 days journey through Vietnam. I'm very happy the high standard of the hotel, its cleanliness and food and services. I've spent sometime in the Piano Bar and met Chi who is kind and very hospitable in the bar services.

Location is the best in the city hands down! The staff truly goes above and beyond to make sure your taken care of and the rooms are great! 5 stars all the way! Food is fantastic along with a beautiful bar to enjoy drinks in. Thank you, Loan and Emily for all the special accommodations and help you gave to my friends and I. We will see you guys again next year!!!!!!

Stayed in sep 2023. The location of the hotel is the best part. Every attraction in the Old Quarter is within walking distance. tour operators can pick and drop you at the hotel. This road is not closed on weekends. The rooms are clean. Little dark as there is no sunlight in the deluxe non-window rooms. But that is the standard feature in almost all hotels in that area. This hotel had lot of Indian visitors. Therefore, the breakfast also had some options for Indians. It does not offer any meal other than breakfast. But Met restaurant is situated right opposite and is quite nice. Recommended for tourists.

A wonderful boutique hotel right in the busy street in Old Quarter. Lovely honeymoon welcome as we are celebrating our anniversary. Very helpful staff. Mini buffet but with good variety to choose from. Food prepared freshly. Just outside the hotels are plenty of shops and restaurants. 5min walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. No regret staying in this homely hotel.

It was really amazing! Though the circumstancers due to the pandemic, they had been helpful to me changing the dates of my arrival. Emily the owner and all the staffpeople, espescially Anh Nguyen, were a huge Support in giving me advices how I can get to the different Sightseeing spots. They treat you Like a Family member and make you comfortable all the time. I will definetely come again! :) Thank you so much!

Hotel located in good location. Service was good. Breakfast was good. Rooms were smaller than expected.

Nothing great about the hotel. Not worth 4 star status. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very bad hospitality. Rooms - 2/5 Food - 2/5 Hospitality - 1/5 This hotel doesn't have a restaurant inside and they will not provide you early check in too. You will have to wait till 2 PM for the check in

Good hotel to stay, we have taken room with no window which is really suffocating and feel unpleasant. The hotel is really good and on Main Street, the breakfast is really very nice. One must select balcony or window room to enjoy the stay. As per our observations, The staff needs to be more polite and humble.

Location of hotel easily accessible, not deserted and streets leading to it are brightly lit. Hotel service is top notched. Requests are attended to promptly despite the high volume of guest. Room has a cozy setting, with new furnitures. Would rate it a 5-star hotel 🏨 👍

I recently stayed at Golden Silk Hotel Boutique and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in a great area, with easy access to many of the city's main attractions. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and always ready to help with any queries or needs. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and the amenities provided were great. I especially appreciated the free Wi-Fi, which worked flawlessly throughout my stay. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. The rooftop bar and pool area was also a highlight of my stay. The view from the rooftop is stunning, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day of exploring the city. Overall, I highly recommend Golden Silk Hotel Boutique. The hotel offers excellent value for money, with great amenities and a convenient location. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the city

Clean room. Appreciate the wooden laminated flooring. Not as dusty as those with carpet flooring. Nice breakfast with egg station and Noodle station. American breakfast spread and Asian spread.

Centrally located hotel and low price. The hotel is a bit older, and unfortunately rooms are not sound proof. Was woken up a few times in the night by people shouting (and I'm a heavy sleeper). The room was okay - but I would recommend getting a room not on the bottom tier as it didn't have a window to outside.

It’s ok. Suite room Balcony and the room is small. Bed is not king. It’s two singles put together so super uncomfortable in the middle. If you are cuddling then you go left or right side. You might as wells be sleeping in single bed. There are better hotel for the same price. Only came here because it was mentioned in National Geographic.

Pretty good hotel, overall great service and has a rooftop bar. Rooms were quite good had a minor issue with bathroom cleanliness, manager was sent to sort our concern which could not be fixed unfortunately. Other than that location is perfect, good food / buffet breakfast and customer service.

Just meh. Balcony was nice. Staff weren't overly friendly or anything - mostly on their phones when going through. Cleaning could be better and a side note - if you don't want service you have to tell them. When you leave your room with the key the power isn't connected so the do not disturb light turns off.

Room was comfortable, spacious, wonderful bed, and clean washroom. My issues were that it wasn't completely clean, I had to ask for another tissue roll since no spares were provided, and the shower was difficult to use. The lobby and breakfast lounge were stunning, but the breakfast menu was too western. I wished for more Vietnamese foods since I'm traveling in Vietnam. The best part about this hotel is the top tier service. They even booked and paid for my transportation to Ha Long and I settled the bill when I checked out. Location was great too.

Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Location is great with access to the Old city which has many shops. Breakfast was good. Rooftop bar is nice and relaxing. Served by a very welcoming man called Baky who was very welcoming, friendly and engaged in conversation. The only thing that isn't great is there aren't many plug sockets in the room and the signal on the TV is very weak, giving a fuzzy picture.

We were a large group who was bicycling across the country. The staff were great and accommodated us and our bicycles. They went out of their way to help us with taxis and luggage storage over multiple days. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well stocked. Breakfast was also very tasty. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Hanoi.

We stayed here for a few nights, as we were stopping over prior to heading to Saigon, overall the hotel was great it has a very grand vibe. In a lot of the reviews people have mentioned the exceptional Service from the English speaking main reception person, she was pleasant but I get she read busy with other tasks when I spoke to her. The room advertised was different to what we got, I chose not to make a Fuss to the time limit and being English, however there was a window that opened up to a non view hence no light and a fake window which opened up to nothing. Overall I was glad we were manically busy here or I would have had a terrible depression. Upon leaving the staff said goodbye and were pleasant. Breakfast was great in fact the staff upstairs were the best thing at this hotel and the three stars were for them.

Great staff! I arrived at 5AM at the hotel and needless to say very tired after a long layover in Beijing. Their team was prompt, customer driven and definitely very courteous. The room was very clean, I felt safe in the neighborhood and took advantage of the hotel's onsite tour options. The rooftop view at night is a must!
